Product Description:

This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. While some publishers have opted to apply OCR (optical character recognition) technology to the process, we believe this leads to sub-optimal results (frequent typographical errors, strange characters and confusing formatting) and does not adequately preserve the historical character of the original artifact. We believe this work is culturally important in its original archival form. While we strive to adequately clean and digitally enhance the original work, there are occasionally instances where imperfections such as blurred or missing pages, poor pictures or errant marks may have been introduced due to either the quality of the original work or the scanning process itself. Despite these occasional imperfections, we have brought it back into print as part of our ongoing global book preservation commitment, providing customers with access to the best possible historical reprints. We appreciate your understanding of these occasional imperfections, and sincerely hope you enjoy seeing the book in a format as close as possible to that intended by the original publisher.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  exciting read, November 22, 2015

i'm going to refer to this book to try simple ways to alleviate pain and achieve results with the body. i am curious to try Fitzgerald's methods out on myself. it will be difficult since i don't have any pain.

having taken some reflexology certification courses, maybe the newer methods that followed from Fitzgerald's work supplant his findings, but i'm thinking his work might have independent merit worthy of pursuit even though newer methods have prevailed. to this end, i have ordered a metal comb and brush, purchased some wooden clothespins, will buy some iodine, and will keep rubber-bands on hand to experiment with.

considering all kinds of issues from the perspective of these zones is provocative to say the least. my aunt had shingles, accompanied by pain caused by damaged nerves (post-herpetic neuralgia...?) that persisted until she died a couple of months ago. if she were still alive, i would be getting with her daughters to try zone therapy in an attempt to relieve her shingles pain.

this book is laden with potential for anyone willing to experiment. the worst that can happen seems to be if it doesn't work. much of what he does includes nerves in the teeth that require medical expertise to stimulate. since the mouth protocols in particular are sensitive to proper pressures applied to the proper places for proper lengths of time, some of what he discusses is not appropriate for a layperson such as myself. however, there are also plenty of things appropriate for someone like me, especially having to do with pressure on the fingers and hands.

so yes, i liked the book and look forward to trying some of these things out.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Worthless - Skip this book, January 18, 2015

Worthless. Just about any other book on zone therapy would is better. This book sites just one person's limited trials for a few specific thing. Very limited in scope and the stuff they want you to use is just nuts. Skip this book

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Amazing !, October 18, 2012

This book is such a treasure. There is wisdom in here that has been lost over the years. As a Reflexology Therapist I highly recommend this book. It teaches you about the zones and the healing that can come when working with them. I have tried some of the techniques and they do work. I will be trying more and I know we will be seeing greater results. My only concern is that the book has been reprinted so many times that some of the words were a little hard to read. Other than that this is an excellent book that can help people get better without always turning to drugs and surgery.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Zone Therapy or Relieving Pain at Home, February 26, 2006
By April Mcbride
This book is quite informative. It is very quick to go over examples of trials done, but hard to follow the exact technique for Zone Therapy.I have enjoyed the book and picked up quite a bit of information from it.
