5 out of 5 stars.  Great Implant Overdenture Reference Guide, January 6, 2009
If you've ever had the opportunity to attend one of Dr. Hamid Shafie's lectures you know that he has a practical, yet effective way of teaching. I find his Clinical and Laboratory Manual of Implant Overdentures book to be outlined in a similar fashion. Whether he's detailing the process of Spark Erosion, or demonstrating invaluable surgical/restorative aids such as the Osstell Mentor (for an ISQ measurement) in immediate load cases, explaining the biomechanical advantages of lingualized occlusion, or risk factors associated with 2 implants vs. 4 or 5; bar-retained vs. O-ring/Locator attachments, etc., his detailed writing and descriptive pictures helps to turn otherwise esoteric information into easy to follow guidelines that can be put to practical use. This is an implant overdenture reference guide that you will refer to again and again.

5 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Implant Text, December 14, 2008
This text is very well written with a lot of useful information on all aspects of implant dentistry. As a surgeon, I found it very helpful to my practice. I would highly recommend this text to both surgeons and restorative practitioners.
