Seems good overall
4 out of 5 stars.
I got 1 bottle of this at Walmart because I was looking for a mouthwash without alcohol and without sodium lauryl sulfate (for times when I got some canker sores in the mouth from accidental bites) because the alcohol and the SLS are bad for the mouth (and worse for mouth wounds). Also, most mouthwashes are very stingy (painful) and by the time you have gargled for the minimal 30 seconds or so, your eyes would probably be watering if you aren't near the point of crying from the pain. THIS MOUTHWASH does NOT sting nearly so much, yes it is still quite minty but the stinging sensation is much more bearable as compared to other mouthwashes containing alcohol (my eyes didn't even get teary). It does leave the mouth feeling decently cleaned; but as of yet i still dono for sure about its advertised whitening power...However, I think this is a good mouthwash either prior to brushing or right after brushing just as a cleaning boost and to help kill bacteria in hard to reach parts of the mouth. Say hello to clean mouth, and goodbye to painful, stingy, eye-watering mouthwashes :P

yuk...

i thought this stuff tasted pretty bad and it didnt seem to do anything, if you want whiter teeth, i would go with the crest strips, very very effective

Good effective product

This was purchased for a family member and they have noticed a difference to the brightness of their teeth!

No visible results, good as a germ fighter
3 out of 5 stars.
Having used Listerine's Whitening Rinse for several months I wanted to try a different brand of morning rinse and purchased 3 bottles of Crest Whitening Rinse. I didn't notice any real change in my teeth nor did they feel as clean as when I used the Listerine (Listerine is a pre-brush rinse that has baking soda or something similar so it turnss your regular tooth brushing into a new experience as it foams and tingles). The Crest Whitening rinse worked well as a germ fighter /standard rinse. I didn't expect huge differences in whitening from either product but I felt my teeth were cleaner with the Listerine (by the way, Good Housekeeping Dec 2008 issue states that whitening mouth washes are not going to provide huge results, but are good for mild surface stains which I guess I don't have).
