| | If you have a heavy hand, or have been told by your dentist you are a "scrubber" this soft brush may help you preserve the precious tooth enamel you want to preserve. The handle and bristle feel the same size, just softer. I could not find the Oral-B Advantage at the local department stores.
| | Almost as good as Biotene toothbrush | |
| | When the Biotene toothbrush is too expensive, or out of stock, this is a good one to use. The Easter colors, however, are not great with my bachelor decor.
| | | I am a dental hygienist and let me tell you, in my opinion and expertise, this toothbrush rocks! Every time I use this brush, my mouth/gums just say "AHHHHH!!!" Our gums are soft, as I describe as a piece of meat versus our enamel which is the hardest bone in the body; therefore, when we brush our teeth/gums, we need the softest brush with using a thorough circular cleaning motion in order to not damage the gums by our toothbrush. Receding gums happen because of a few different reasons, one being that of brushing too hard or using firmer bristles. There is no reason for gums to recede from this...we have control over this by using soft bristles and with light pressure - just be thorough in doing so. And by the way, just because a toothbrush says soft does not mean it is actually soft! It takes some trial and error in finding one that truly is but you can elminate that trial and error by taking my word for it when I say this toothbrush is truly soft!
| | 10+ EVER for SOFT Toothbrush! | |
| | I have no clue how someone can call this a "firm" toothbrush...I would hate to see what they call a cotton ball.
This is the softest absolute BEST toothbrush ever made! Between oral surgery (from an accident) braces twice, osteoporosis, and arthritis, you can believe me when I say I have *extremely* sensitive teeth and gums!
I am used to the smaller head because generally that's the only size a "soft" toothbrush comes in I think because they had this in mind for kids initially. So if I had to list a complaint it would be that they make the other sizes also available in this "extra soft."
Regardless, Oral B - PLEASE don't stop making this toothbrush! Don't improve it, don't change the packaging...it's PERFECT as is!! =)
| | | I am a colgate 360 toothbrush user. When my current brush was getting old, I bought this(in a pack of 6!) to give it a try. The extra soft version of OralB is much firmer than the colgate 360. It's like they took a firm toothbrush and labeled it as "extra soft". My gums hurt after using this, and I wouldn't buy any oralB toothbrush again.
