Good first waterpik, July 28, 2010
|

I got this product the day I got braces. I have been using it religiously since then (about 2 months). I am hoping the bad reviews about how it brakes after a while aren't true. So far I have had no problems with it. It cleans my teeth amazingly. I have no idea how I lived with out it an can't ever see myself going back to not using some type of waterpik. Since this my first waterpik I really can't say if it is better/worse then others. One complaint is that the water supply could be larger. Other then that it's great for the price, small, an cleans well.

It's OK... but not the best, July 24, 2010

even though dentalBookshop took for ever to ship this thing, it worked well when it was new, but after few uses the pressure is not the same, even if fully charged. but over all you get what you pay for.

Better alternative to flossing!, July 20, 2010

Flossing is one task I've never enjoyed. Immediately upon using this, I noticed how much cleaner my teeth was. This is basically like a high pressure washer on your teeth, but with the ability to get into those tight crevices as well. Very easy to use. Downside it the unit is quite big and bulky, and does not seem to hold much water. I do like the cordless feature which makes it very convenient to use, no matter where I am. The battery life is okay. Because of this, I am now a big advocate of using a waterpik, and now practice better oral hygiene because I really do enjoy using my waterpik.

Waterpik! Shame On You! Piece of Junk! Do Not Buy It!, July 4, 2010
|
|
Lasted 1 month. I didn't even bother to look for the waranty. I threw the box out so couldn't return it to the store. What a piece of crap. Used it 12 times before the batteries quit and no longer could recharge it. Thank God I paid only $12 for it (used a combination of coupons and it was on sale) so it cost me $1 each time I water-flossed my teeth. I feel sorry for those that paid the full price. Waterpik, pretty please, remove this junk from your prestigious collection of oral care products. I have used your great products since 1960's, do not make me feel ashamed of you at this point of my life.

A bad investment, June 26, 2010
|
|
I bought this unit a little over a year ago because I wanted a quick way to dislodge items prior to flossing and brushing.
The WP-360E2 that I have (bought in Europe) has a water reservoir that is too small. Luckily I could do with one filling but not spending 5 seconds on every tooth. At the beginning I had to watch out not to get that pulsating jet into my eye (would cause eye damage).
This device is fantastic for us brace wearers, specially if you have a power chain installed on your braces so for it it was a Godsent while it lasted.
A couple of days ago I went to use it after a couple of days and it quickly discharged half way. I found that strange and put it to charge. Let it 8 hours and when I went to turn it on it did nothing. I put it to charge another 12 because unfortunately this unit also lacks a charge indicator (red/green) how can something so basic be missing from an expensive device?
Well, after two consecutive charges I got the same result. The diagnostic is final, this unit, still relatively new and with not that many charge cycles on it, has become an expensive paper weight!
Worst of all, your investment in this unit is bad (BAD!) because as it turns out the battery compartment is sealed and the battery cannot be replaced. Something to look for when I buy another from another brand, no more Waterpik products for me.
So in summary, while it works it serves its purpose with the pulsating water jet. Unfortunately it has a poor electrical design and very limited life span. Don't buy it.
