Not tamper-proof. Has a noticable odor.

The box is not sealed and has no tamper-proof protection; no plastic wrap or sealing tape. The mask has a strong odor of the paper; out of the box. Seems to dissipate over time. Not sure if I will keep them.

You get what you pay for

These masks were kinda what I expected as far as what I paid for them. I bought them to be "safe" down exploring in the drains. *anyone looking to use these to explore sewers I do NOT recommend. These are basically only good for filtering dust particles. When I initially put a mask on, it was blocking the bottom half of my eye sight. It took a while to realize that you need to bend the small strip of metal on the top edge of the mask to fit closer to your face. After doing so, my vision wasn't impaired anymore and there were hardly any gaps. Overall this is very economic considering the price per mask is roughly 10 cents (or at least when I bought it), great for dealing with anything in a dusty environment but I suggest if you plan on going anywhere that could contain anything more hazardous than dust, you should be looking at higher rating masks.

Perfect for cutting grass
|

I bought these because we live on 10 acres and that is a LOT of grass to cut on our grass tractor. These masks make the task almost bearable, guarding against flying dried grass, pollen, bugs!, and whatever else is flying through the air. I'm very happy I found these and they are just perfect. I would say if you are using them in the sun that you might want to put either sunblock on your face or wear a hat as well, otherwise, you end up with a very odd tan line lol.

Good price, fast delivery

Good price, fast delivery, and an absolute must have to prevent getting the flu or a bad cold. Wear it in a nursing home, or medical facility, or when you go shopping. Wipe the handle of your cart with an anti-bacterial wipe. I use it when I change the vacuum cleaner bag so I don't inhale trouble for my sinuses.

Surgical Masks

The masks have an unpleasant odor that is quite annoying. It's not mold; I don't think there is any reason I should not use them. I have been wearing the masks fairly regularly and they don't cause any health problems for me but since you are constantly breathing through the mask, one can't avoid the unpleasant odor. The masks I received at the doctor's office did not smell like this.

I love using these instead of an essential oil diffuser

I love using these instead of an essential oil diffuser... just one drop of essential oil in the middle of the mask, and it calms the mind. When I need a break from the scent, I just take it off. Or put a different essential oil on a different mask and wear that.
Also, I believe wearing this to the grocery store or wherever you go during flu season can help your body be less overwhelmed with germs and be better able to fight them (I also put a bit of organic honey in my nose to help capture germs, due to the honeys antibacterial effects).
Even after you get a cold, I prefer wearing these masks to a humidifier. The natural warmth of the air your breath out has moisture in it which is captured by these masks. Wear the mask for 30 minutes and your nose will feel more moisturized and open without pumping moldy humidifier mist into the room. Putting honey in your nose will also help keep it moisturized and less irritated, and will not hurt your body.
