5.0 out of 5 stars.  Another beautiful and important book for children, July 17, 2015
By Ben V Hoff
There aren't many, if any at all, other books like the ones Mr. Rogers wrote. There should be a page at the end of many that say. "Thanks for buying my book. Now, go to one of Mr. Rogers books to see what I would have written if I could."

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Fantastic book with some dated elements, September 13, 2013
By Abby L. Smith
I hate giving any Mister Rogers anything less than 5 stars, but there are a couple of dated parts of the book, most notably that dental hygienists are identified as only being women! Now to be honest, I've never met any male dental hygienists, but there's certainly no gender requirement. I skipped over that part, but I thought I'd mention it. Otherwise, it's a great book and truly helped my three-year-old twin sons prepare for the dentist.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Thank you, Mister Rogers, April 19, 2011
By Christa M. Hegland
I trust Mister Rogers to give a gentle, thoughtful introduction to new experiences - and this book is no exception. It is easy to read and talk about with your child. He touches on all the parts of a dentist visit that might be worrisome to young ones and allows room for parents and teachers to add other advice and experience for the child's benefit. The photos are now a bit dated, and yet this does not detract from the purpose of the book. We talked about how a room or a chair might look a little different, but that the children, dentists and hygienists were people just like us (and yes, the book portrays the rainbow of people in this world - as do all Mister Rogers books). Great book with which to introduce (and revisit) going to the dentist.
