I bought this for my son when he got braces since the flossing with braces was next to impossible. We are very happy with this product. It holds enough water for one complete floss. The batteries are not rechargeable but it's been 2 months and I haven't changed them yet. He uses this morning and night and loves it.

Not as effective as the HydroFloss (how could it be) but it's a great alternative for the road, boat, camp site, etc. Easy to use and one set of batteries lasts pretty long. Couldn't do without it anymore.

great product! I have sensitive gums and this really helps clean the last of the plaque off while not making them bleed. Don't use on you tonsils...that was not one of my greater ideas.

I have been using this irrigator daily since I bought it (~4 weeks ago), and have travelled with it once as well. It collapses to a reasonably convenient size (similar to large wallet or heavily padded case for eyeglasses). It's easy to fill and seals well. Its 'high' setting was initially too strong for me, but I could tolerate it easily after about a week (YMMV).
My 'morning breath' has improved and my gums no longer bleed when prodded. I feel that my dental hygiene has greatly improved -- I have trouble using floss effectively due to my permanent retainers and find it really hard to keep up the habit. In contrast, I've been using the irrigator consistently twice daily so this is definitely a huge leap in the right direction for me.
If you're not ready to shell out for one of the more expensive plug-in units, this one is still a good choice. I tried out my mom's waterpik and found it to provide a similar experience except that the reservoir for the Panasonic irrigator is smaller. You could just run through this irrigator twice if you want to floss for longer.
