1 out of 5 stars.  Does not work for the Kindle, May 19, 2009
This is probably a good reference book for the otolaryngologist; however, I cannot recommend the Kindle edition because the Table of Contents is NOT HYPERLINKED!!! As a result, there is virtually no way to navigate through this 1000+ page book on your Kindle, unless you don't mind flipping pages after pages a thousand times. If you use the "Search this book" function of the Kindle, it will take so long that you will think your Kindle has just frozen (I suppose because of the massive data the Kindle chip has to search through.) Go buy the regular book, not this Kindle Edition.

4 out of 5 stars.  Read it cover to cover to review for ABOTO Boards, March 22, 2009
I read this book cover to cover as the basis for my board review. I own KJ Lee as well, and got this book as option 2 because KJ LEE was too difficult to sit and read for hours. The material covered seems similar, but the layout of this book is much easier to read. It reads like a normal text with full sentences, yet is relatively high yield. It does have some overlap from chapter to chapter which was actually helpful in recognizing which concepts were obviously very important to remember. I agree with the other reviewer that it is a bit skimpy on the facial plastics, but it does cover the sections that are most important for the in-service, mainly trauma, cleft lip/palate and facial nerve. (I am biased because I am in a facial plastics fellowship, so I have plenty of other sources for that material). It seems it would be well suited for medical students as well. It is a relatively quick read with good information.

Overall, I found this to be interesting enough to keep reading, thorough enough to be a single source for knowledge foundation, good diagrams and line art, decent tables, and BETTER THAN KJ LEE! Would recommend different sources for practice questions if using for exam review.

4 out of 5 stars.  Good ENT board review, October 15, 2008
Read book cover to cover for boards as main resource for studying, and found it to be sufficient. Its very heavy on otology, which for me was good, and weaker on plastics and peds. More uniform than KJ Lee in my opinion (2004 edition, haven't seen new one).
