One of a kind conceptual anatomy textbook, December 24, 2009 |
I used gray's exclusively during my anatomy course in medical school. The authors focus on concepts of anatomy like no other... I never used Netter's or any other overwhelming anatomy atlas and I did very well in this course. If you want to buy an atlas that accompanies gray's, I highly recommend Rohen's atlas... the combination of the two is excellent!!!

A Refreshing View on a Classic Reference, December 24, 2009 |
My father is a surgeon, and I grew up reading the old, classic editions of Gray's Anatomy that he had retained from medical school. Though I decided to pursue a career in management and business following the completion of my university studies (and degree) in biology / pre-medicine, I maintain personal interests in the production of fine art (drawings) and exercise physiology. This book is an excellent refresher and reference on the functional aspects of human anatomy that are important to many other disciplines, in art and athletic training for example, besides the practice of medicine.
