Good quality, features could be better, April 10, 2007

This is a good quality lock as cable locks go (remember ALL cable locks are a minor deterrent). I bought it specifically to lock bikes to my Thule Hitching Post rack, and I selected the Thule so I could buy matching lock cylinders for this and my other Thule lock. However, this lock does not have a swappable cylinder, which neither Amazon nor the Thule website seem to tell you, so I'm glad I waited to buy a set. It could also be about a foot longer since it's kind of sold for use with Thule racks, and a little more length would be necessary to get it through two bike frames, all four wheels, and the loop on the Hitching Post. Still, it's worth the price if you're aware of the drawbacks.

Coiled Bicycle Lock, April 17, 2009

I purchased this lock when I purchased a Thule bicycle rack thinking that this would integrate with the rack. I was wrong. This lock is way over priced at $40 or so and a similar lock with a thicker cable for probably 1/3 of the price or less can be had from Onguard or Kryptonite.
This is a typical key cable lock that gives minimal security. I purchased it to at least lock the bikes to our rack so they could not easily be lifted, all of course when we travel with our bikes and keep them in view. This lock is not meant for security as a cable cutter will easily cut through.

Works great but wish it was longer., December 25, 2009

This works great...but I wish it was a little longer, so you can lock the front wheel or lock multiple bikes together to the bike rack. Pretty much all the bike's front wheels come off very easily (tooless), so locking the front wheel is a must. I just use multiple locks, but it would be nice to have just one very long lock for multiple bikes on one rack.

Great for securing single bike., April 16, 2009

This is a great item to secure a single bike. Unfortunately it is not long enough to secure two bikes. I highly recommend, easy to secure.

Good Cable Lock, May 19, 2011

The lock is as described. Fits through the loop on the bottom of my hitch rack to secure the bikes. I have a 4 bike rack, but have only tried the lock with two up to this point and it works fine.

Thule Cable Lock, September 5, 2011

Great lock for securing a sit on top kayak to your car. Just run the cable through a sculper hole and then through under the rack rails.
