3.0 out of 5 stars.  good for occasional traveler, May 8, 2007
By C-Money (Sugar Land, TX)
We mounted this on our Sienna and traveled 900 miles to New Mexico. It was able to withstand both rain and hail because everything stayed dry. The two main complaints about this product is that it is not truly aerodynamic and the zipper is not smooth. At 80 MPH, the wind compressed the front of the carrier making it look like a rectangular box. The zipper works but it was very hard to negotiate around the corners. One last thing I have to mention is that it was hard to open to put our items in it. You have to use one hand to hold the top piece back while using the other hand to load your items. The alternative would be to get help from another person. It also comes with two long straps with buckles that was easy to mount. Overall, this product is good for one to two road trips per year.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  So far, so good. Looks great., January 31, 2007
By Erwin (Thonon, France)
First of all '11 cubic feet' means a little for me so if you were wondering about the dimesions of this bag, look no further (because nor even in lund's web site you could find this valuable information). The dimensions labeled in the box are 44"x36"x16" (l,w,h). So far I stuffed it with six letter size stackable white cardboard boxes like those you find at Office Depot (15.5"x12.5"x11") intended for your backlog (by Willamette), it's not easy at first glance but, believe it or not, there's enough room for them. Te curb of the aerodinamic shape ends some 18" from the front side to the back to reach the 16" claimed. For me it seems like a parabolic shape because the height continues to increase slightly up to around 18" in the backside. With my 6 backlog boxes in place there's still some 26"x36"x5" of room above them.

Material seems to be strong, the only think I don't like is the zipper wich seems to be regular one not one intended to support strong wind force. Well, in two weeks I'll tell you what happened with this bag during my 600 mile trip.

So far, so good.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Don't Buy For a 4Runner, March 12, 2007
By Colorado FF (Denver, CO)
This bag was junk on a 2001 4Runner. The poor fit made it hard to secure and even more difficult to load and unload. I realize it isn't made for all vehicles but I purchased mine only after speaking with Lund, who confirmed the bag would work on my vehicle. Spend the extra money and buy a hard shell unit with adjustable hardware. Great service from Amazon, terrible service from Lund.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Best Solution for Our Trip, June 24, 2008
By S. Riedley (Simi Valley, CA USA)
Bought this for a trip to Yosemite. Did not want to invest in a hard-side carrier solution because my minivan lease will be up next year. Was able to fit 4 soft-side travel bags and a couple bags of beach towels and toys. Probably could've gotten more in, but did not want to push the 100-lb limit suggested. When the front straps started rattling, all we did to fix it was tuck them under the carrier. The weight of the luggage held them down and the rattling stopped. Instructions are vague, so to be sure the carrier did not get pushed to the back of the vehicle by the wind, we tied the loose ends of the straps onto handles inside the car. Saw this same carrier on other sites for $149, so at Amazon's excellent price, this was well worth it.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Damaged my car, July 25, 2008
By Michael J. Deering
The product is advertised as being a durable, long distance carrier but on the first trip I used the carrier, the bottom tore off and the carrier flung wildy against the side of my car until I could safely exit the highway. I wll be seeking a full refund and reparation for the damage done to my new car.
