 Comfortable to wear and easy to clean, August 1, 2005

I'm going back into the military and need to get into shape. My recruiter told me that he and other guys in the office used neoprene belts during PT and throughout the day.
I was very sceptical, at first. After the first weekend of using it, I have lost a little over an inch on my waist. Suprised me--it really does do the job.
Unlike a few other belts out there, this one would fit nearly everyone AND is washable.

First off, these belts do not "melt" fat from your waist. If you notice, your "love handles" are often times cool to the touch, which means that there will be limited bloodflow to the area. A belt such as this will do ONE THING: Help stimulate bloodflow to the area, which will INCREASE the CHANCES of burning fat from the love handles. They - like everything else - are totally useless if you do not exercise and maintain a proper diet.
Also, a loss in inches does not equal a loss in fat. To measure the fat loss of the area you need a caliper, not a tape. These belts are by no means miracle workers, but can be of some benefit to those who are having problems with the love handles.

I've used the Neoprene Waist Trimmer for a while now and it is the best thing I've found to flatten my abs! You can wear it all day without it being noticed by anyone and it works while you're doing your daily activities. Love the trimmer!

The Valeo Neoprene Waist Trimmer does help slim your waist. While using it with exercise (and sensible diet) will help improve your outcome as it does help you sweat more but exercise is not necessary if you just want a slimmer waist Why? The neoprene waist trimmer works on the concept of training you to suck in your gutt. Wear the neoprene waist trimmer for just a few hours and you will notice immediate results. The longer you wear it (it takes 21 days to form a habit), the easier it will become to suck in that gutt giving you the look of a slimmer waist. I do not recommend wearing this 24/7 or while you sleep (give your body a chance to adjust to sucking it in by itself)and each day you put it on that you try and pull it just a little tighter.

1- It gets you internal temperature up a lot quicker. Since you are wrapping yourself in neoprene and then working out don't be surprised if you feel really hot quicker then usual.
2- Taking it off is slightly gross, after a hard 30 minute cardio workout, I was dripping in sweat, then when I took off the belt it was completely soaked.
3- I'm burning more calories and my water weight burns off faster too.
4- I like the fact it's washable and doesn't shrink (and you just hang dry it)
5- Putting it on can take a few adjustments only because it's stays on with the help of velcro.
Don't expect overnight results, my whole goal is to just burn more calories. I was surprised that it actually provides pretty good back support (especially when doing crunches). I recommend it, and for the price you don't have much to lose.

Yes, this product does what it says...which is make your middle literally pour out water. The belt looked positively GROSS after a hard dance class (which I thought was WONDERFUL!) However, the next day I felt weak and lightheaded, only to discover that my blood pressure was dangerously low (87/65)due to dehydration!!! I do drinks lots of water, but no where near enough to rehydrate after the fluid loss this belt causes. After this, I will be certain to drink plenty of G2 and water before, during, and after my workout. Be forewarned!!!!!!

This is the worst trimmer I have ever purchased. I got three good uses out of this product before it started to come apart. It did what it was advertised to do in the way of helping burning away those stubborn fat cells around the midsection but it's just not durable enough.

It worked while it lasted, but it ripped in two places after a few uses, and I didn't really stretch it that much.
This is cheap for a reason. That's why this one is less than $10 and some waist trimmers are over $100.
Look for a more durable one and you'll actually save money if you don't waste your time with this.

I was excited about getting this waist trimmer. I have used several others over the years and the reviews looked great. I receive the trimmer pretty quickly but after only three (mon,tues, wed) uses the whole top part is torn completely off. Not sure what happend :-0(
I did notice it was much thinner than other waist belts I have worn before. Anyway wonder if this has happend before?

Pro: thin, almost invisible when wearing t-shirt over it.
Con:
1 The material is very cheap, I was just separating the Velcro and got a tear on the belt.
2 The Velcro width is same as belt width. When stretched, the belt is thinner than Velcro, so Velcro started scratching my waist, very uncomfortable.

terrible, wish i never bought them, after the glowing reviews I got two and within 2 weeks both fell apart, ripped to shred and unusable. I wrapped my belly, I'm only 5'0 and 112 so I'm not large but they tear easily and once there's a little tear, they rip wide apart!

I've bought it, washed it lightly and it fell apart! I didn't even have the chance to use it, at least once! The cover came off the neoprene part and now it's simply useless. I have two other similar products from a different company and I've washed them over and over again and they're still ok, unlike this one. Besides, it's pretty narrow compared to all the other products I've used, it looks almost like a expanded belt. Don't buy it, it's probably the cheapest of its kind you'll ever come across!

I'm a new mom and bought this product wanting to get rid of the baby weight. I had never heard of a waist trimmer, but after reading the reviews for this product I decided to give it a try. I have been using this product for about a month now. I recommend using it whenever you're exercising because it makes you sweat A LOT!!! After taking it off when I was through, I was amazed at how much it really burns off!
It's also washable!!! I didn't want to buy a waist trimmer that would have to be replaced soon. Because of the material I thought the washing machine would mess it up, but I've washed it PLENTY of times and it's still as good as new!
Last but certainly not least, the results are FABULOUS!!! I actually don't have measuring tape to see how many inches I've lost (which sucks because I would really like to know), but I plan on going to get some soon! I can definitely see the results though! My husband has even mentioned a couple of times that he loves the waist trimmer for the results himself. :)
Love the product and do recommend that you try it! You won't be disappointed!

This product definitely works. You still have to workout & eat right, but using it in conjunction will definitely help you see results. I started wearing the trimmer at the gym & I have noticed a significant change in my stomach. I measured my waist before I started using the product & two weeks after and I had lost an inch. I just bought one for my boyfriend.

I didn't necessarily believe that this product would work, but then I used it. I'm not a large person to begin with, but I was still impressed with this product. When I used it, I could really feel my waist area getting hotter. When I took it off, it was pretty sweaty. I've lost 4 pounds, and I'm back down to a 32" waist, which means that most of that weight came from my waist. Quite impressed! However, I would not recommend using this product if you have lower back issues, since my lower back seemed to tense up a little bit, and I don't even have back issues. But it is not bad enough for me to stop using this product.

This is a great product to use if you already or are going to start exercising. It helps with posture during workout and after a week of continuous use, I lost 5 inches around my belly. It is a great product if used while exercising but not for little chores here and there.

I ordered this item expecting very little... at most a little compression and support while doing squats, pushups, curls, etc... I got much more. This is in no way a "miracle item" nor is it a stand alone waist line reducer. I did not expect that from this product, as that expectation would have been unfair and ill placed. This provides (slight)compression and minimal support, as expected. It also provides concentrated insulation, as many neoprene products do... this helps produce more sweat and circulation in the wrapped area(oddly I experenced no noticiable increase in heat). Which, in turn, will reduce the cellulite, waist line circumference, or burn fat(in that area only!)... but you will have to use it often, I used my during exercise(1-2hrs a day, 3 days a week). The only bad thing is it started to get bushy where I kept securing the Velcro end, this also was expected. I would buy this product again or recommend this product to a friend. It's worth the price and is reasonable quality and does what it was intended to do.

I bought this thinking that it could help me lose a bit of belly fat. I thought it would be a miracle product. I wore it every workout, and the neoprene got very wet with sweat, dripping, even, but saw no weight loss or change in my stomach. Not a good prduct at all.

The very first time I pulled the velcro away from the belt to open it up and put it on, the material seperated from the neoprene. So, every time I use it it keeps getting worse and it won't be long before it is useless. Buy a different brand.

I wanted to counter some of the earlier reviews about poor quality of the product. They almost prevented me from buying this item, but I have found them to be wrong. After 1 month of use, I have found it to be very good quality. No problem with material or workmanship. It cleans easily and does make you sweat more during exercise. I don't know if it reduces specific areas of fat around the waist faster than normal, but again, I have no problem with the quality of this item.

Last spring I bought Valeo Neoprene Waist Trimmer and had problems with it. The materials were cheap and the neoprene ended up fraying very quickly. The velcro ended up ripping off. Stay away from the Valeo! It seems like the quality has gone down since it was first introduced to Amazon in 2005
I bought the McDavid Waist Trimmer (Item model number: 491R)over a month ago and love it! I am impressed with the quality of the materials and the velcro. The McDavid fits very well. It offers the support I was looking for and neoprene for heat retention. Unlike the Valeo, I have not had any problems with the velcro or fraying of the neoprene material.
Spend the extra money and buy the McDavid!

I bought this after a co-worker recommended it to me. Like others have said, it is not a "Fat Melter" but it DOES make you sweat. The band itself is not hard to put on and it is surprsingly pretty comfortable! (You can't wear too tight t-shirts otherwise you'll see the band!) After a hard cardio work out, I am completely dripping (pretty gross, but must be good!). I notice the more water I drink that week, the more sweat it produces...so I am probably loosing water weight...but any weight loss is good for me! I have noticed after 4 weeks of using it 3 times a week my midsection is a bit tighter! Good product that I'd recommend!

It does what it is intended to do. I would have paid 14+ dollars for a similar or less quality trimmer at Big5 Sporting Goods, which I did prior to buying this one. Neoprene will make you sweat no matter what brand you buy. The big issue is comfort. Some of these may have the velcro too close to the edge and that may overlap and cause discomfort. This is not the case for the Valeo trimmer. It was a good buy.

This is the 3rd time I've purchased this Waist slimmer.The First time. It had a nice thickness and lasted through normal wear and tear. the 2nd time it was flimsy and only lasted maybe a month. the 3rd time I bought this slimmer, it was very flimsy & and ripped after the 2nd time i wore it. I purchased one from Bally's total fitness. It is cheaper and more sturdy. I don't recommend that you buy this one, unless you're tiny, and can wrap it around you twice.

I generally don't buy rediculous gimicky products like this, but it amused me so I gave it a whirl. I have definitely lost inches, but not because of this belt. It is more so attributed to the increase in healthy eating and exercise. I will say though that this thing does make your midsection sweat, so if that is what you are looking for, this is your product. And with all this sweat it is good that it is easily washable. So you're probably wondering why I gave this three stars if it doesn't do what it set out to do. Here's why. It is the best product for menstrual cramps and lower back pain. This of course was an accidental discovery but it is definitely a saving grace at times. Maybe this just needs to be marketed differently. Hhhmmm.

WOW! All I can say is, this belt works!!! I walk everyday, and so far, I've lost about five inches of my waist!!! Be prepared to sweat tho....it really does a great job, and it was a worth while investment!!! Pay no mind to the nay sayers! Buy it, try it, and see your results!! WONDERFUL PRODUCT!

I was a little worried when I bought this trimmer. I read several bad reviews about this particular one as well as all waist trimmers in general. But it was such a great deal, I gave it a shot anyway. I love this product! I wear it snug but not tight. I wear it when I work out on the eliptical and when I'm at work. I have a pretty physical job, so I sweat a lot in the stomach region when I have the Valeo Neoprene Waist Trimmer on. Does it work? I'm not entirely sure, but it does make you SWEAT. I'm on a major weight loss program anyway, so I am losing quite a bit of weight. Regardless, my waist size has gone from a 44 to a 36 in about 4 months. So, I plan to keep wearing it! It's lightweight, no one can tell it's wrapped around you. It doesn't smell, even when you wear it all day. It dries very quickly if you hang it up after wearing it. The only downside I can see is that the soft velcro part is coming detached a little. I guess this is pretty normal from putting it on and taking it off all the time. I wear it A LOT. Next time around I'll probably buy 2 more of them so I don't have to worry about it. I love this product!!

This item was fantastic out of the box. I wore it to the gym for my typical daily cardio workout and definitely increased the sweat levels of the workout. After just a week of use I felt like I could see a difference in the mirror. UNFORTUNATELY, after only 2 weeks of use (10 times to the gym) the product began to fall apart. It tore in three different places, by which time I could no longer wear it. Was worth a try, but now I understand why it was so inexpensive to purchase - it needs to be replaced every couple of weeks. Now that I know I like the idea of the product I will try to find a higher quality replacement.

I walk on a treadmill every morning for an hour wearing a waist trimmer. After several years, my old waist trimmer wore out so I purchased a new Valeo Waist Trimmer. By the fifth day it started coming apart. The material covering the neoprene separated from the neoprene. Within a few days later I had to discontinue using it. I purchased a new waist trimmer of a different brand from Wal-Mart and though it was cheaper it works much better.

I bought one made by LP which costed about $10 (but no free shipping). This one costs $7 (free shipping). LP has fabric on both sides and edges are stitched. This one has fabric on only one side and no edge stitching. Feels like an oversized mouse pad to some extent. I'm sure both can achieve the same results, but I think that fabric on the inside would definitely feel better than wearing exposed rubber.

I do not recommend Valeo Neoprene Waist Trimmer.It has it's good points though it makes a nice tummy tucker worn under a shirt it's narrow enough not to be seen.But for a workout I did not care for it,When exercising belt curls up and curls down.

I love the Valeo Neoprene Waist Trimmer! It's very comfortable to wear and does not limit your movement. I purchased this one to replace an older version I used to use and it's a lot better. I only gave it 4 stars because as I stretch it to fit me (as I am a little smaller) the velcro then hangs over a bit and scratches my skin. I have to make a few adjustments in order to prevent this. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking to retain heat and sweat more around their midsection. That's exactly what it does. The sweat is a little gross but it's very easy to clean (washing machine/air dry).

I purchased this and even though it cost me more for shipping because I live in Canada it was still worth it. This is the 3rd waist belt I've tried so far and this one has made me sweat the most so far. It also seems pretty rugged. I owned this for 3 weeks and it shows little wear (as compared to my "go fit" one that lasted me 2 days before it ripped apart). Would definately buy again even if it only lasted a couple of months, you can't beat the price

The Valeo Neoprene Waist Trimmer is comfortable enough to wear under your gym clothes. I use it to exercise, when doing spinning, walking/running, lifting weights without any major inconvenience. I have not seen significant wear on it and have used it for the past wight weeks. All in all good value for your money - it makes you sweat as intended in the region it is supposed to do so.

I bought this product reading the good reviews. I am not satisfied with the way it has worked for me. The belt lost its shape very quickly and I don't really feel a lot of support / pressure or anything using it. Maybe I am using it wrong.. But I must say, I didn't think it will lose its shape so quick.

I ordered this item on a Tuesday, and had an estimated delivery date of a week. I ended up recieving it two days later!! It arrived in perfect condition, and is very easy to use! It fits very comfortably and wearing it from the time you wake up until you go to bed really helps! I have already started to notice a difference!! Along With 1 hour exercise and this belt, I lost 2 inches in 2 weeks from 35 to almost 33 size and in 1 week I should be ready to wear 33 size Jeans. It is comfortable, it works, I clealy see the burned fat symptoms on my waste/stomach area.I am giving
4 star because it is not wide enough to cover your belly, so you have to wear it on the upper part half the time and wear on the lower part half of the time. Hence ordering second belt.

The waist belt with velcro closure works very well. It is not at all bulky; I don't even notice it beneath my shirt when I work out. I wear it every day when I work out for lifting, running, biking, etc. and it shows definite evidence that it is working. I am incorporating it into every daily workout.

I used to have a Bally's one and this one is MUCH BETTER, the velcro lines up well and doesn't scratch my belly like the one I had in the past and I sweat WAY more in this one than the Bally's one and I feel the difference in my abs after a work out

I bought this trimmer as a way to look slimmer at the moment while I am losing weight and as a way to keep my mid section warm during these few crazy snow storms. If it does help me lose fat around that area, then that's awesome but does anyone else get seriously itchy after wearing it for a day? I tried wearing it over an undershirt as well but that didn't seem to make much of a difference.

Was not enough detail about this waist trimmer. I used it on the bare skin and had difficulty in pulling and keeping the ends on top so the velcro will line up evenly on top or the lower portion of the waist trimmer to prevent it from pinching the skin. If it had something to hold on to for pulling evenly that would make it a better product. If you plan on using it over the shirt it would be more pleasant to use.

I want to start by saying I am not a large person to begin with but after a year of working out to get and stay in shape I thought a waist trimmer would help give the extra push I need to trim up my waist. First, it does sweat your waist and it is not uncomfortable at all. I purchased one for myself and my daughter. After using it for the last week (everyday but only a week), today it started tearing up completely. I am guessing if I am able to use it again tomorrow, that will be the end. The velcro fits really tight and it has pulled it totally apart. I would suggest purchasing a different waist trimmer and brand.

Good value for the price... helps keep calorie melting heat in the right places during a workout. I will buy more items from Valero. The garment is decent quality, it appears to be quite resilient, and fits very well. Slightly less result than the shorts I bought... but I attribute that to the wearer not the garment. In a few months it will fit properly.

For the price, it's not bad. Could be better quality, but, it does give you extra support while excercising and it DEFINITELY makes you sweat! It says one size fits all, but, I have to admit it was a bit too long. My waist is a size 28 and I had to cut it. I wear it under my clothes and it isn't bulky.

I bought this trying to get rid of that very last bit of abdominal fat on my lower stomach. at first the belt worked good but began to deteriorate and the material that the Velcro would stick to detached from the neoprene belt making the belt unusable and the neoprene eventually ripped cause its so thin. Overall this product was made cheap, so the quality will not be there. Beware

Came new as promised, but after one use the sides upper, and lower started to curl. Then after a few uses it became hadder to wrap around my stomach. Keep in mind I am only 150 pounds. I bought this over the other items because it was less expensive. Big Mistake. You get what you pay for.

I just recently purchased this item and honestly i love it, i had previously purchased another belly band belt which cost me $65 and is really waste of money because doesnt do anything to your belly and is so uncomfortable, where instead the Valeo Neoprene waist trimmer is great is soft and is really not visible under your clothes I love it, i wear it all day and does not leave any rashes or burns.
trying to lose my belly after my pregnancy and c-section i had which was really hard during these 3 months after i had my baby, the delivery was quick of the item im very happy with it and I want to purchase another 2 for my mom and an extra one for my self,....
