5.0 out of 5 stars.  Wonderful Autumn Ride While You're Indoor Cycling!, July 25, 2007
By 24theroad (Los Angeles, CA, USA)
I'm an avid cyclist and this dvd is definitely a great compliment and good buy for indoor cycling. I originally saw them at my gym before I got my indoor cycler.

The forward motion visuals push you ahead without getting bored. It's exciting to view real roads this way, much better than watching TV programs or out a window, and makes up for not being able to ride outside when weather is bad. I ended up getting all their dvds and use them daily. It's the best investment I've made other than my stationary bike.

In this ride you cycle through the fall colors around Washington State and it's gorgeous country. You'll ride up to roads near Mount Rainier and also out to the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, and a little ride through parts of Seattle. I loved it.

I also appreciate that there's no distracting commentary, graphics, or other riders in the virtual ride spoiling my views. It's almost as good as being out on country roads enjoying the scenery.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Good scenery, bad bike simulation!, November 25, 2010
By J. Hendricks (Kalamazoo, MI United States)
I bought this as a gift for my wife who frequently uses a bike trainer. I am from Washington state but no longer live there. This DVD was a little nostalgic and brought back wonderful memories of the places and scenery. The DVD is great scenery and is great for showing off the beauty of the state to those who have never been.
The trips are filmed in a car and follow routes used by cars. Frequent pullovers and sideshots of scenic views are made. All of this is nice but it takes away from the realism of riding a bike. It would have been better if it had been filmed using a helmet camera by someone on an actual bicycle. I am not rating the soundtrack because my wife didn't like the music that accompanied it, so I just had it on mute with my own music playing. Overall, it is a nice distraction while on a bike trainer, but I would prefer a little more realism.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  I "cycled" through gorgeous Washington State today - in 75 minutes!, March 6, 2010
By Bold Consumer (USA)
What a great way to stay fit! I'm working my way through all of the Bike-O-Vision Cycling DVDs. I haven't found one that I didn't enjoy.

The scenery in the Washington State DVD is just outstanding! There is quite a bit of variety, which I really prefer rather than barreling down a straight road for an hour. This one took us on all kinds of terrain, all of it gorgeous.

In the past it hasn't been easy to stay motivated to get on my exercise bike, elliptical, or treadmill. Knowing that I'm going to take a trip to someplace beautiful and get fit at the same time really does it for me. There have been a few times when I preferred my own music, but for the most part I enjoy having the music they've chosen to keep me on track. I'm getting much better results than I've ever had before on my elliptical, which used to be drudgery for me.

I'm building muscle easier than ever because I'm enjoying the ride. Of course when you build muscle, the scale goes up temporarily, before that muscle starts burning fat and it starts going down again. Right now I'm at the point where I can see the difference, by the way my clothes fit, but the scale hasn't yet started down.

Yesterday was Washington State. Today I may go back to Hawaii, or possibly Yosemite Park. I love all the choices because some days I'm in the mood for a beach vacation and other days I want to remember my Washington D.C./Virginia vacation or maybe go to Oregon, where I've never been, or ... You get the picture. The dread of, "Oh no, I need to go work out" has been replaced by, "I can't wait to go on my next adventure."

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Love to Travel on my Exercise Bike, February 27, 2010
By Cylb (OH United States)
Bike-O-Vision does it again with the Washington State cycling dvd. I have a bum knee which makes it almost impossible for me to walk the way I used to. The Bike-O-Vision series gives me the opportunity to exercise & stretch the knee safely while allowing me to see other states. This is a wonderful series. I highly recommend the series to anyone.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Bike-O-Vision, Washington State - Journey #11, August 12, 2009
By Last useless journey (Virginia, USA)
Things to consider before viewing - don a Dramamine patch and lederhosen - waste of money. Low budget DVD - filmed from a car?
