You Get What You Pay For, June 24, 2008
By Ora Et Labora! (CHICAGO! USA)
|
|
The one thing I'll say about Bingo is that it's important to have a cage and balls that roll about. This is essential because to keep kids attention and focus they need a little bit of action. They all want to get a turn spinning the cage and this increases their enjoyment of the process. Kids are competitive and are riveted by the suspense of which number comes up next. The game has them on the edge of their seats. This particular model is not very durable, but, if you don't have a whole lot of money to spend, it's well worth purchasing. I may get a more expensive and involved version of it in the future, however.

Great Cage - Everything Else is Flimsy, July 5, 2009
By Trecarra (Colorado)
|
|
The cage that comes with this game is very nice, works well and is well made. The number balls are made of two pieces that fit together - MANY of the number balls that came with our set came apart and had to be glued with super glue. Also, the numbers are very hard to read on the balls. The game cards are VERY thin paper and easily crumbled up by young children. The masterboard to hold the numbers after they are called is useless - it is just a thin piece of cardboard that came bent in our set. The balls are placed too close together on it and the slightest bump sends them all flying off. The markers work fine but there aren't enough of them if you have a large group playing - we had to resort to beans.

Good quality for the price!, January 7, 2008
By Lisa (Yreka, CA USA)

The cage was sturdier than I expected. The other parts aren't so well made. Such as the bent cardboard pieces that hold the balls after they have been called. We bent them some and they work okay but any movement to the table and they roll off and onto the floor. That said, the price was half that of similar sets that are not as well made as this one. All in all, I am pleased with this set.

great for autistic grandson, January 28, 2008
By L. Tenney (Salt Lake, Utah)

My 5 year old grandson is autistic. Number and letter games are great for autistic children (especially since most of them are obsessed with numbers) He has loved to pull out the balls and read the numbers and put them on the master card. The cage is a little difficult to open with just hands. We now call my grandson 'Bingo Ben', as it is his favorite toy.

Wire Cage Bingo Set
I bought this bingo set for my grandchildren, looking for a game where everyone could play on an equal footing. The cage for the balls was good (-we let the winner crank for the next game-) and the cards functional. They would be too flimsy for weekly use, but fine for my purpose. Overall, it was very satisfactory game for a very low price.

It's a Bingo Set...just as advertised...not fancy, but it is whatwe expected. I've seen better quality sets, but for the price, this one works just fine for our family.

Can't beat it for $10, December 26, 2008
By Kathleen (Omaha, NE)

We got this bingo set for our son for Christmas and really, we couldn't be happier with it. The cage works perfectly and will definitely hold up for quite a while. The cards and the called ball holder are extremely flimsy & cheap, but all we cared about was the cage. We can always get more cards elsewhere, but for $10, it's a fantastic deal.

Came on time and in perfect condition. The only change I would make is to include more chips for the bingo cards.

Deluxe wire Cage bingo, September 12, 2009
By Tania

Hi,
I'm not happy with this purchase for the following reasons:
First, when you 'spin' the cage some balls drop off, because the distance between the bars in some point are greater than the ball size.
The ink on the balls tend to erase or just fall off, so I was forced to used a permanent pilot to mark them again
Last, when you have all the balls inside and you "spin" the cage the little door tend to open due the pressure of all balls inside,so picture lots of ball dropping of the game....
Regards,
Tania

Not worth the money. Useless!, June 27, 2009
By Nole Woman

I ordered this to use with my volunteering at a nursing home. The wire cage didn't work and the balls rolled out the side. In addition, the balls weren't all printed correctly, making it very hard to call. I would not recommend this for purchase.

You do get what you pay for...., June 20, 2009
By S. Cooper

This product arrived timely (thanks Amazon) but...the balls fell through the wire cage and every spin necessitated a scramble to catch the balls. The cards are very flimzy and I glued them to foam board so the children could play. The board that you are suppose to put the balls on after they are drawn is also flimzy and the balls won't stay on it. Overall I was very disappointed and maybe learned a good lesson...not to buy this kind of product online.

fun but a little cheaply made, May 24, 2009
By Cheryl Johnson (provo, utah)
|
|
THe product is easy to use, fun, but the pieces that roll around inside the cage that you use to call the bingo numbers are cheaply made. 15 of the little balls were broken, and I had to glue them to use them. That was a disappointment. The cage works well and so I will be able to use this over and over again, now that I corrected the balls falling apart.

Great for the price!, March 9, 2009

The balls are 2 piece plastic design and some of them had split apart. We used superglue to bond them together again. For $10 thought, what more could you expect. It's a heck of a good value.

Ridiculous for a child to use, August 6, 2010
By ajl
|
|
First of all, the cage is really hard to open. I had trouble, and for my daughter, it was impossible. It's a glitzy, sturdy cage but unusable. Then there was this stupid piece of cardboard with holes in it to hold the balls. Please! They rolled all over the place. In addition, as another reviewer said, the numbers on the balls were hard to read. I bought the set in a store, and it's going back. I'm disgusted enough to want to write an online review--something I rarely do.

A complete waste of money, April 21, 2010

A complete waste of money and time. Everything is so cheap that won't even last one round. DO NOT BUY IT, spend more money on an expensier set.
