2.0 out of 5 stars.  Much to be desired, October 10, 2009
By Laurence Burdett (Salt Lake City, UT)
I purchased this product to go along with the Delta bike rack. Yes, it will keep your tire off the wall and I suppose it is somewhat complementary in style to the rack in that they both display a similar curve. But there is much to be desired here. The piece is only about six inches long and therefore will only separate wall from tire at that one point where the bike is completely suspended from the rack. Since the securing of the bike in the rack requires a higher lift and then a lowering to its final resting point it would have been better to have a tray of some length that the rear tire could roll in as you secure the bike in the rack. And of course since it is so short that you are out of luck if you try to hang a different bike whose wheels aren't separated by the exact same distance.

Another complaint is that this item is just a solid piece of translucent plastic whereas the rack is metal, so when you see them on the wall it's not quite obvious that they were meant to go together. Lastly the attachment to the wall is via an adhesive pad. There is no hole for anchoring it more securely and of course when you get a new bike and need to have the rack and tray at a different distance from each other you'll likely damage the wall trying to relocate it.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Good Product........but, not for me., May 5, 2008
By P. KAIN
Actually, this little gadget is well made and probably appropriate for some folks. I bought it together with the wall-mount bracket from the same manufacturer. Unless you mount the wall-bracket...which is used to hang the bike by the front wheel....as low as possible to the garage floor, it could be an effort for some to secure the bike in place. Once you've accomplished that and assuming you've positioned the wall-bracket as low on your garage wall as possible, you will have to satisfy yourself with the bike protruding from the wall and quite possibly relinquishing valuable horizontal/floor space in your garage. In those cases where this might not be an issue, I think it would be worthwhile to consider. However, just won't work for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Simple and cheap!, July 4, 2011
By Rockies Road
These are great if you have limited space in your garage, and the ceiling isn't available. It works on both road and MTBs and is easily installed on wall or post. Be advised that the bike needs to be centered in the hook and trays (I also bought the bottom tray for more stability) or it will shift on you. Not a problem unless your car or doorway is nearby!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Perfect little device, December 2, 2010
By Ron (Columbus, OH USA)
For a very reasonable price, the Da Vinci tray keeps the bikes from leaving scuff marks all over the garage wall, and it stabilizes the bike in its hanging position, too.

This piece effectively keeps tire tracks off the wall when hanging your bike from a hook. Very sturdy design.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great purchase, October 13, 2008
By brwneyedgrl (Chicago, IL)
This is necessary if you want to preserve the wall that you hang your bike on. This prevents the bike from scracthing the walls.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Easiest possible install and it works. Having a friend help with the install saves your wall a couple of scuff marks., May 25, 2012
By D. Brennan (New York, NY)
I purchased this as a companion to the Racor B-1R Solo Vertical Bike Rack I purchased. Paired together you get an efficient way to store your bike. I cannot possibly explain how simple the install of this product is. After you install the Bike Rack Hook, you hang your bike and have a friend make a mark on the wall where the bike's back tire touches the wall. You use the sticky tape included with the Tire Tray to attach it to the wall, and then use the weight from the hanging bike's back wheel to hold it in place.

That's it.

My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that I have a certain sense of buyer's remorse when it comes to the Racor B-1R Solo Vertical Bike Rack I purchased. The product works fine (as long as you can find a wall stud to mount it in to and I fortunately have a stud finder in my toolbox) but I subsequently discovered the Cycloc Popsicle Wall Mounted Bike Rack: Orange, which while being MUCH more expensive is aesthetically and space-wise more appealing.
