Visually appealing but not worth the money., June 7, 2007

My daughter loved these but they are trash. She uses the Disney Princess basket to carry the Disney Princess bell & handlebar streamers purchased with the same order & broke (bell) or has never fit (streamers) since the first day. The basket has a laminated princess photo that has broken off on one side. Save you money & buy a Disney Princess bicycle instead. It probably cost just a little bit more.

Wouldn't have had any problems attaching the basket if I had removed the . . ., November 28, 2009

. . . bumper.
This is a cute plastic woven basket that appears to be quite durable. Attaching the basket was a little difficult simply because I wanted to leave the foam bumper thing on the handlebar (the soft thing wrapped around the top middle portion of the handlebars with characters on it -- don't know the actual name of that thing). That meant I needed to wrap the ties farther out or around the bumper; and either way, it was a stretch. If I had removed the bumper, there wouldn't have been any problem.
My daughter likes it all for looks. She doesn't put anything in it; but the bike doesn't have a kickstand, so it gets thrown on the ground a lot. Still, the basket has remained intact and it looks great.

Perfect for a little princess, May 19, 2008

My daughter loves this basket. It goes perfectly with her Disney Princess bicycle. The material is thick enough to do the job and it looks very nice on her bike. My daughter is still learning to ride, so it hasn't taken a lot of abuse yet, but it seems sturdy enough to work well. Would definitely recommend.

Princess basket, April 6, 2011
By bookreader "Melanie" (Snoqualmie, WA)

My daughter loved this basket. It fits just fine on her small 12 inch bike. I just had to take the plastic padding off the bicycle to get the basket straps to attach. No problem. We have had this for over a year now and it is still in awesome shape. Nothing broken or falling apart!

Bottom fell out after 2 weeks, November 19, 2010
By PurplePeopleEater

We actually bought this basket at WalMart with the streamers and a bell. It was hard to attach since we wanted to keep the foam cover on the bar but using cable ties solved that problem easily. We loved the basket and thought it was so cute on our daughter's Disney Princess bicycle. She doesn't ride the bike a lot and not very far so I was pretty surprised when the bottom broke open on one side after less than 2 weeks and everything that was in the basket fell through. My daughter had collected a few rocks, sticks and pine cones as we rode up and down the street and I also had my keys and garage door opener in the basket. I don't think they weighed it down too much and upon inspection, I saw that the plastic that the bottom is made of broke apart on one side. I inspected the other baskets like this one when I took it back to WalMart and decided against exchanging for the same one as they all looked like they could possible break apart in the same way. Bummer too because this seems to be the only Disney Princess basket on the market right now. Thankfully, my daughter decided she would like one with just flowers instead.

Measures 9"W x 6"Deep x 6"H, May 28, 2010
By Mom of 2: Wyatt, my son in Heaven & Danika, ... (St. Louis, MO)

Bought this at Walmart for twice the price listed here, but it also came with handlebar streamers and a bell, which I'm not sure this item comes with those.
The basket measures 9 inches wide, by 6 inches deep (at the top of the basket), by 6 inches high. It was too big for my daughter's Fold & Go Trike, but did fit her Stroll & Go Trike just fine with room to spare.
The white plastic ties are pretty much junk, so I think we'll be attaching the basket with zip ties very soon. I don't think my daughter will be able to put much in the basket without it falling off with the ties it comes with. Also with these ties, you can't get the basket on tight enough in my opinion.
I'm very excited that she'll be able to put things in this basket and know she will just love it. Plus, it will cut down on what I have to carry, even if it's just not having to carry a sippy cup!
Seems sturdy and flexible and will serve its purpose so I like it. The colors are also cute - the princess characters I could do without - those are attached with zip ties, which I find funny since they should have included zip ties to attach the basket instead of the junky white things they do include.

Ok--not great., May 16, 2011
By A Farah
|
|
The basket itself is fine and small enough to fit comfortably on my daughter's tricycle. However, the plastic ties that came with it are not very useful. We used our own plastic ties--smaller ones that fit tighter and without getting in the way of the handlebars. Once we used our own ties, it fit fine. It was cheap enough that we didn't mind having to be resourceful.

Nice basket, January 8, 2011

This is a sturdy little basket for a tricycle and holds little treasurers, drinks etc. while the child is riding the tricycle. I was not real happy with the attachment for the handlebars as the basket is somewhat floppy.

Bad smelling plastic, December 26, 2010
By Ben
|
|
It's nice that this basket is cheap and cute but the plastic smells terrible with a rotten fishy oder. Washing it helps some but only temporarily. The worst part is the bad fishy smell transferred to the stuffed animals that my daughter put in the basket. Avoid the chemical exposure and spend your money on something else.

It's to soon to tell, we just put it on the scooter in April 2010. Bought it April 1, 2010. Seems sturdy enough for now, we'll see how it holds up over the summer being outside in the heat.

Cute basket, daughter loved it., September 25, 2009

Basket is really cute and seems to be of decent quality. Only complaint would be that the straps provided were a bit short and would not fit around handle bar pad. I had to end up using my own cable ties. Other than that very pleased with it.

This was a really girly basket but the one dtriment was the plastic bands for attachement. I doubt if they will last very long. I would recommend changing them. Otherwise it is great.

We love our Princess basket!, April 27, 2009
By T. Biblis

After my daughter tore her plastic, zipper (backpack type) basket that came with her bike, we had to replace it. We found this Princess basket and it is perfect. She fell over on her bike and fell right on top of this basket and it bounced right back. She loves using it to collect all her treasures when we go for rides. However, the holes in the bottom are too big to hold her rocks. So you may want to consider if it is to be used for small items.

Just like the basket I had as a child!, February 11, 2009
By TW (Braselton, Ga)

We bought this for my daughters tricycle and it fits perfectly; however, we used our own ties to hold it on to the handle bars. The ones that came with the basket did not hold it up well. It holds two small baby dolls, along with a few other small toys. My daughter loads it up with every ride. The basket is a perfect size for a tricycle. Great price as well.

Insert Toto - we're off to the land of make-believe, September 6, 2008
By Little Book Worm (madison, nj United States)

My daughter received this basket for her fourth birthday and she loves it. Of course she's a little princess queen, so having the Disney princesses adorn her very own pink bicycle basket is just a recipe for fun and imaginative play. She puts all sorts of things in her basket from rocks which "need" to be transported around to fairy dust. Can't say I have any complaints about the quality either. It's woven plastic and seems sturdy enough for the price and the amount of time she'll probably be using it. Great buy!

Disney Princess Basket, August 16, 2011
By Austin J. Ray (Mangaf, Kuwait)

Nice pretty little basket for my 4+ year old daughters little bitty bicycle. the applique though on front is attached very shabbily and the plastic "T" connection strips to attach the basket to the bicycle won't last long if the basket is actually used lots, loose fit to handlebars and flimsy. Still rather than a 3* review I'll give a 4* review as there isn't a 3 1/2 stars.
