Not the best option, December 21, 2007
By Clair Divino (Italy)
|
|
I bought this product and Coleman's. Coleman's is better in my opinion; it has much better pattern, which allows one to sleep better, and user friendly system of letting the air out. It took me 1 minute to let the air out of Coleman, and 20 minutes of hard work to get it out of this. They are both somewhat uncomfortable, but this one a lot more so due to highly anti ergonomic pattern. The positive side of it is a better air pump.

great value, August 13, 2008
By B. Bingham
|

this bed takes only ten to fifteen minutes to inflate (not hard work) and I had absolutely no problem letting the air out within two minutes. i didn't notice any leakage at all yet either.
it is attractive and as comfrotable as i imagine an airbed can be, though the pillows are kind of worthless and do leak for some reason. it's not luxury but it's a great value. don't waste money on an electric pump. this one does the job.

Great value, February 4, 2008

This mattress + 3 inches of cheap, low density memory foam = bliss
If you put a cheap, low density memory foam pad on a normal mattress, it does not support you and you end up lying on the hard, uncomfortable mattress beneath. But this mattress, because it's filled with air, behaves more like a waterbed, allowing you to sink into it and thus be more throughly surrounded by the memory foam on top. This mattress is not hard if you don't overfill it. I think the combination of this with memory foam is a great idea. I cannot speak for how comfortable it is without memory foam.
The pump that came with this is useful. It's made of strong and durable plastic. It filled the mattress pretty quickly. It comes with 3 ends for fitting different sized air input valves.

Queen Airbed with Pillows, May 14, 2009
By Loveguitar (USA)
|
|
We bought 2 queen airbeds and pillows mainly for camping purposes, but also to have when family comes for a visit and bringing their kids. So far we have used the airbeds only for camping. We are very pleased with them. They are truly "queen" size and my husband and I shared one and we had plenty of room each.
Pumping up each mattress took about 10 minutes using the included hand pump and my husband broke into a slight sweat while pumping them. I don't like my mattress hard so he didn't pump it up to full capacity. The air pillow just wasn't very comfortable to use, it's better than nothing but we all tossed them and used regular pillows instead. My husband didn't much like the deep grooves (big tubes) which formed the airbed mattress, but it didn't bother me. I kind of liked it because I could lay with my bony backbone between the round tubes and in the deeper grooves and found it rather comfortable. We did not notice any air leakage from the beds. My husband and I shared one airbed while our 2 kids shared the other. They seemed to be as full the next morning as they were when initially pumped.
The airbed material seems durable enough, but I would lay something extra underneath them if they are to be placed on a surface with rocks underneath. We camped out in our backyard in a tent on a relatively cold evening. It got down to around 45 degrees F. The mattresses of course radiated the cold from the ground right up to us so a few blankets on top of the mattress helped with that. And we let our dog sleep in the tent with us. She's an Eskimo Spitz with a lot of fur. She didn't sleep on the airbeds but beside them and the airbeds collected a good bit of her hair, but that is really no problem. (We're used to her hair being everywhere anyway.)
Deflating the airbeds was fairly painless. Once the plug was pulled and after some basic squashing of the airbeds was done, it was easy to roll them up somewhat tightly to get the remaining air out of them. We plan on using them while camping a lot more this summer and if they turn out to be failures I will certainly update this review. But for now, I am pleased with them and feel we made a good purchase.
UPDATE: 6/30/09
We went on a week-long camping trip last week and used the airbeds the entire time. They worked out perfectly. Maybe some air loss by the end of the week but not enough to be a problem. They were very comfortable to sleep on especially when a flat sheet was placed on top of them. The only thing protecting them on the underside was the tent floor and a tarp. They had no sign of damage whatsoever. I highly recommend these airbeds for camping purposes. The pillows however, were not very good but still usable if lightly inflated.

Suited Our Needs, January 28, 2010

We bought this for a last minute attempt at camping. Although some murderous hobo thwarted our camping experience, the bed was easy to fill up, let out, pack up, and use again. The pillows are kind of a joke but the bed is super comfy and durable. We put a foam or feather topper because we're snobs but it's fine without. 6'3" Boy Fits.

air mattress, September 14, 2009
By Jonathan Kemp (MA)
|
|
I used this for one night on a camping trip, it worked out great, it was the most affordable mattress that came with a pump, the pump takes 10 minutes of pumping, and makes a wheezing sound the entire time, there is no need for vigourous pumping, just take it easy and ten minutes later you'll have a bed. it is not the size of a queen bed you have at home but it plenty big for two. I imagine that more expensive mattresses will provide a more comfortable night's sleep but this was adequate. HERE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART: it comes with two pillows, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THESE AS PILLOWS. you will not be able to sleep on them, get a real camping pillow, bring your own, or use some soft clothes, these inflatable ones will haunt you all night. HOWEVER, they make Fantastic cushions for sitting on. also, the bed is heavy.

Very comfortable; Well designed, January 4, 2010
By C. MacPhail (Solana Beach, CA USA)

|
The mattress is extraordinarily comfortable. Possibly better than your bed at home. The flocked top surface prevents your slippery nylon sleeping bag from oozing off the edge as you sleep.
The large "Boston" valve is great for fast inflation and deflation.
Prices are all over the place. Shop around.
My family has 4 of these. The walls are pretty thick (14 mil), but I've had 1 or 2 small punctures over the years. Easily repaired with duct tape or the included patch material. (Make sure you bring it.)
Get a heavy nylon stuff sack, so it won't get punctured during storage or transport.
It's kind of heavy (9.5 lbs). Not a problem for car camping or in-home use.
** 12-18-2010: This review (and stated weight) is for the mattress only. My review somehow got moved over to the bundled mattress + pillow + pump product.

You get what you pay for. Learned a lesson today., October 22, 2009

Item looks great. But check it out when you get it to see if it holds air. Went camping 5 weeks after we purchased this item. Wound up sleeping on the ground. Tried blowing it up several times. Was not a fun night. Used a spray bottle of soapy water in it to try to find the leak, Nothing. I guess the leak is to small to track. Mattress stays inflated for about 2 hrs, before you hit the ground. Return Policy 30 days on products sold on Amazom. Lesson learned! Check out each and every thing you buy, make sure there is a return policy available that suits your needs. Guess we are just out of the money, we will buy another at Walmart, even though I don't like doing business there, a no hassel return policy there for up to a year, can't beat that.

Great bed for the money, April 12, 2011
By Tim W
|
|
I bought this for a camping trip I am taking in May. After reading all of the reviews posted here, I made sure to test this out as soon as I received it. I realize that this is a forum for opinions, but I have to say this deserves no negative criticism whatsoever. Using the included hand pump, it took me 5 minutes to inflate fully. It is very comfortable to sleep on even without any sheets or a sleeping bag. I even broke out my sleeping bag and tried it out for a night on a hard wood floor. The anti-slip material held onto the sleeping bag and did not let it slide around on the mattress.
I left the bed inflated in the middle of my living room (much to the wife's dismay) and laid on it whenever I was watching TV. I never needed to add any additional air to it in three days time. When it came time to deflate, it was decompressed, folded up, and put away in five minutes. The pillows were more of a problem to deflate than the mattress. The pillows, by the way, work just fine and I found that if you stuffed them both into one pillow case, they worked even better.
I will update this review after my camping trip, but for the money, I have to say that this is an excellent value, a comfortable bed, and is perfect for any family camping trips.

Ok buy for a hardworking person, June 2, 2011
By Dilbertblue (New Jersey,USA)

I used this aero bed a few times. The air filling process is a bit strenous
Pros. 1. Nice finish 2. Good height. very comfortable.
Cons 1. Pillows are useless 2. Filling air is strenous. 3. There is a knob that needs to be rotated to keep the air in. Kind of tricky to use the knob as I thought I turned it quite right but still the bed got defalted. however sometimes the bed kept its air intact. Therefore a touch and go. While camping, when you come back to the camp a little drunk and its dark, its difficult to figure out at that time whats going on with the knob.

This is great for sleep overs. It is easy to both inflate, and deflate. The only negative is the smell of the plastic. It is overwhelming. When the kids sleep over, I put a sheet on the bed to help elminate the smell.

Good price - nice size, December 21, 2010
By Nüvi 660

Did not have any problems yet. Cannot share the problems (like losing all its air over night or the air pump doesn't fit the nozzle etc.) people had so far. Sure it loses a little bit of air after 2 or three days, but with the air pump (that is included in the delivery) it's not a big deal to refill it.

much better than sleeping on the ground, June 21, 2010
By Steveareeno

These are a must when camping. This particular mattress worked great for us. Very comfortable. I also noticed that, when properly inflated, one person moving around doesn't affect the other, which is more than I can say for my bed at home. It did deflate a little on us, but that was probably the temperature change (went from 80 to upper 40s).

"comfortable good night's sleep", November 28, 2009
By S. Lbck
|
|
Received its first use this weekend by an otherwise finicky house guest, who claimed she got a "comfortable good night's sleep" on it. The hand pump worked efficiently and it stayed fully inflated for two nights (so far) of continuous use.
Although I feel it has already paid back its modest cost, I expect it to provide many subsequent evenings of comfortable sleep.

Great Item :), February 17, 2009
By Naveen Nayak (Gainesville, FL USA)

Shipment was quick, on time and fully packed.
Its a good bed worth the money - i got it recently and have been using it - had pumped air into it 4 weeks back and it still has lot of air left in it - air leak is very less. There is a soft velvet covering on the bed - it is very comfortable to sleep on and it does not make that screeching sound like my old airbed when i roll over. Comes with 2 mini pillows and a hand pump - it would be great if the pillow sizes were large
I am satisfied with the product and definitely recommend it.

Very nice and fits my bill, June 13, 2008

This mattress passed my 3-years-old's stress test. Yes, he and his brothers jumped on them for at least 10-20 minutes each night but the mattress itself suffered no damages. However, this mattress is not a substitute for any durable inflatable toy. I slept on it one night with my children and it's quite blissful. I agreed with other previous reviewers that the pump is useful; however, get a decent electric pump and combining it with this manual pump, you will get a very nice air bed to sleep on.

Extremely basic, April 14, 2010
By Brummiegirl
|
|
I had a very bad experience with this airbed, in that it got a very bad puncture after being used only a few times and in the end it was impossible to salvage resulting in me purchasing a much better airbed. While I am aware that one off experiences of punctures are not that helpful in determining which airbed to purchase, hopefully this comparative experience can help me shed some light on what is more generally wrong with this product.
Firstly, this does product does not feel like a 'bed'. If you are looking for something pretty basic, for example for camping, then I can imagine that this wouldn't be so much of an issue, but if it is for use in the home then it is unlikely that guests will be telling you they have slept well on it. It doesn't raise you much off the floor, and the material gives it a distinct smell that is not too pleasant.
The pillows are very ineffective and uncomfortable, being very small and flat. Again, probably useful to you for a one night camping trip, but not when trying to offer a higher level of comfort. I found them less comfortable than ordinary travel pillows.
On the plus side, the hand pump that is provided is very effective - it is not at all tiring as it works on a double system, and so is also very quick - it only took a few minutes to fully inflate. I'd therefore suggest that on the whole this offers good value for money, considering how cheap it is, but only for a short camping trip. I think that for any more prolonged trip, or for use as a guest bed, it is worth spending the extra money on something of a higher quality.

Good mattress, May 23, 2012
By jjvjessica

This was worth the money spent. 30 dollars is a very good price for this air mattress. When we got to the campsite, it took about 5 or so minutes to pump it all the way up. Didn't use the pillows though. They are crap. We brought our own pillows though so no problem. The first night it deflated, but we think it was because we didn't screw it in correctly because the next two nights it stayed inflated the whole time. I slept like a baby. My boyfriend said he didn't like it as much though because I got the inflated side because I weighed less.

Pros: 1. Price-***** 2. Size-***** 3. Perfect for outdoor use: fits in 3 person tent, doesn't require electricity for inflation, comes with hand pump 4. Waterproof: floats on water well, good for lake use 5. Easily inflatable
Cons: 1. Unpleasant plastic smell that lasts 4ever. If covered with blanket to contain smell, then-OK. 2. Deflated requires plenty of space 3. Repair patch too small 4. Damaged areas barely detectable, unless submerged fully into water.
Durability-Acceptable

Held air just fine during my entire trip., February 10, 2012
By maryelise (Northwest Illinois)
|
|
I bought this air mattress to use at my aunt and uncle's house. (The last time I visited, they had some expensive air mattress that lost air in the middle of the night. I woke up on the floor and my back wasn't the same for days.) This time I thought at least trying something less expensive wouldn't be disappointing if it didn't work, and I could leave this with them for future guests if it did work.
Well... It worked! Over a period of nine days I did add air only a couple of times. (The air mattress was on a carpeted bedroom floor though, so perhaps this item is better for indoor rather than outdoor use, based on some of the reviews?)
Important things to note... It comes with a hand pump! Actually, it's a great arm workout, and it really didn't take long to inflate by hand. But be prepared for it. The pillows are ridiculous...like little air bricks! Maybe if you have a small dog or something with you they'd be ok pet beds. But don't plan to use them; bring your own pillow. When you pump up the mattress, you don't have to quick pull out the pump and put on the cap before all the air leaks out. It doesn't; it was so easy! And I don't understand the complaints about the shape of the air mattress. I slept great! And I have trouble sleeping usually. I did sleep in a sleeping bag on top of this air mattress, with my own pillow, so maybe that made all the difference.

beam pattern provides more comfort during sleep, January 25, 2012
By Rommel (Los Angeles, CA USA)
|
|
this is the second time we purchased this product. our first version of this airbed was purchased at walmart under the brand name ozark trail. intex is the manufacturer of ozark trail airbeds. the ozark trail version cost twice as much as the amazon version because of the battery operated air pump. the ozark trail airbed lasted six months before it gave out under heavy abuse from my 5 yr old nephew who loved to use it as a trampoline. the amazon version comes with a very nice and capable hand pump and two inflatable pillows. i like the amazon version of this product because of the recessed inflation valve and cap. the ozark trail version had an inflation cap which extended out almost 1-1/2" on the side of the bed. deflation was easier with the amazon version because its a simple counter clockwise turn to remove the cap. the ozark trail version required twisting to the unlock position and then a quick tug to snap off the large cap. the unlock position on the ozark trail version is marked with a tiny embossed icon which is difficult to see in low light situations. i sleep more comfortably with the beam pattern of the intex airbed compared to the coil pattern used by coleman airbed which i also own. no neck cramps or back aches in the morning.

Worth the money but not highest quality, January 10, 2012

After using the mattress as my main bed for about 2 months one of the seams that create the rigs seen on the top of the mattress tore internally. The mattress still holds air its just twice as tall as it originally was on one side. It's like the mattress is now a foot less wide. Not ruined just awkward. I still use it for camping.

Good Value, Good Bed, January 2, 2012
By Deirdre (MANHATTAN BEACH, CA, United States)

I bought this air mattress to have on hand when there are too many guests, and it fills that bill very well. It provides a good night's sleep for a night or two. I probably won't have occasion to use it more than once a month. It takes a little bit of time to blow up with the hand pump, but it is far less noisy than electric and can be used conveniently where electricity is not accessible. The air pillows seem kind of useless to me, and I doubt I will ever use them. The bed is also pretty easy to store as it is not over large. All in all, I am happy with the quality and usefulness of this mattress for my purposes.

AMAZING BED--AMAZING PRICE!!, April 24, 2011
By dansbooks (Mill Valley, CA)
|
|
OK, I don't own the company, or any stock in the company. But considering how incredible this bed is, I wish I did. I bought this because my daughter's boyfriend is 6' 4" and we did not own a bed big enough for him. I thought I should try it out before he arrived to make sure it did not leak or have serious problems. I've had three surgeries on my back and have not been able to sleep comfortably in any bed (including some very pricey ones) in ten years. I sleep on the floor, which is better, but not great. So I pumped up this bed to the max to be sure it did not leak and went to sleep. I woke up with less pain and discomfort that I have in years. The bed retained 99% of the air over the course of a week. My daughter's boyfriend found the bed to be fine. I am planning to buy a frame for it and sleep happily ever after. I never bothered with the pillow after reading the reviews, but who cares? I received a better bed for $24.99 than I got after spending thousands of dollars on other beds. Simply incredible.

Good enough for our needs, April 2, 2011
By Mariana S. V. Garcia (EUA)
|

We used the mattress for 5 nights and it worked perfectly, although one of the pillows kept deflating every night, because the valve would open. The bed did smell like plastic, as we read on another review, so it's a good idea to leave the mattress inflated for a few days before you have to sleep on it. The manual pump takes a while to inflate the mattress and it requires some effort, but it works very well.

excellent camping/spare bed, December 10, 2010
By meld72

|
We purchased two of these for our camping trips. We use an electric pump to air them up...I'm not sure how long it would take with the hand pump that is included...but I wouldn't want to do it.
I rated it four out of five because the pillows that come with it are a joke. I'd rather pay less and have those pillows left out.
Even though we purchased this for camping, we have taken it when we visit relatives, and also use it for a spare bed when we have company. It's a very comfortable bed, but I do recommend using sheets because the felt covering causes pajamas to stick. When using a sleeping bag, obviously, that's not a problem.

Don't get this one, March 10, 2012
By stones

This bed stopped holding air after about 5 nights of use by one person. The pump is a small hand pump that takes 15-20 minutes to inflate the bed and leaks air when using it. The pump is annoying and tiring as you can only use your arms, it is not made to stand on it to pump. We threw out the useless air pillows that leaked on the first night. I would not recommend it nor would I buy it again.

I replaced this one shortly after buying it. I purchased a queen that is supposedly "Never going to leak." I've had it for over a year and it is awesome. Inflates itself. Don't buy this one. Spend $20+ on a better one made of stronger material.

cheap airbed, perfect for guests or as temporary bed, November 12, 2011
By alessia (basel CH)
|

The airbed is ok. It works just fine, but the airbed bumpy pattern (on the sleeping side) does not make the airbed very comfortable and the airbed feels cold. However, by adding a thing mattress-pad, the airbed is much more comfortable; the mattress-pad does not make you feel much of the bumpy pattern and the airbed does not feel cold. The airbed is perfect for guests or as temporary bed.

great for the price, November 9, 2011

This is a great air mattress for the price. I like the manual pump, as I did not want to need electricity, or count on an internal pump always working. It was comfortable, and stayed firm through 2 nights use. I used the pillow to put between my knees. I always seem to forget to pack a pillow for this. It worked perfect.

Comfort, October 28, 2011

I purchased 2 of these air mattresses because the first one was so admired by my guest., to make a long story short , I gave it away as a gift. So, I purchased another one. They are so comfortable considering it's an air mattress. The only thing I don't like is the time it's takes to pump it up or let the air out. There is always a microwave solution; just purchase the automatic pump right, but this is a great price compared to other brands, I've researched.

I guess you get what you pay for. We received our inflatable mattress last week and took it camping this weekend. It did not hold air through the night and the pump broke upon using it the 2nd time. It's pretty much worthless.

Intex Classic Downy Queen Airbed with 2 Pi..., September 14, 2011

My kids slept on this one when we went camping. I don't think another brand would have made it thru that camping trip without getting holes in it. My two boys are preteen and a teenager they dont jump on the bed but they don't sleep light they move alot and feet everywhere. The airmattrice took alot of abuse. I love that brand.

poor quality, August 7, 2011
By Leon

|
well just took my air mattress camping...spent the night between 3 rocks... i felt them all as the mattress deflated after 20 mins ... the stitching around the air vent was made so poorly you can hear the air escape. Returning policy makes any kind of return useless as you will spend more money shipping it back to the seller. Buy something better...

It works... but the pump is cheap, June 28, 2011
By Amol Kumar (United States)

Okay, so it works okay. I think it lost some air during the night. My main complaint is with the "Hand-pump". It kinda feels like it might break in your hand... it didn't. But not sure it will last.

Great product for the price - and otherwise!, June 19, 2011

I was a little skeptical about buying an airbed, having read several reviews about leakage in low-cost airbeds. After a month of usage I think I can safely say that this is one of the best airbed bargains out there. This one comes with a handpump that you could use to easily top up your bed with more air if need be. Well, for the first couple of weeks it would need more air after 2-3 days, but now after a month is holding pressure quite well [edit: I think this was the bed stretching out to its normal size: I recently inflated the bed after storing it deflated for a while and again I had to top it up a few times over the next few days]. It is really comfortable, though really wide and a bit heavier than the two smaller sizes available in the same brand. If you're looking for a comfy makeshift bed, this is a great option to consider - though you may want to consider the smaller versions with battery pumps for outdoor use - the handpump takes a while to fill up th-s bed! (~10 minutes) Note on accessories: The pump is really light and works much better than I thought it would and fits both the bed and pillows - and beds from other manufacturers. The pillows however are rather small and the valves on them don't really work - still, there is a rubber plug on the nozzle that if you get on fast enough will do the trick.

This product is quick and easy. It came in the mail within 2 days using Amazon Prime and I was very pleased with that service. The airbed is soo comfortable and easy to set up and it stays heavily inflated for up to a week before I need to put a little more air to get it hard again. I am very pleased with this product.

Works!, December 7, 2010
By James R. Copley Sr. (Charleston, WV)

The bed is just fine, doesn't lose air too bad. Used just once for 2 nights. Didn't use the pillows, I suspect they are terrible. The hand pump works great but takes some time for a bed this size, I would suggest using an electric pump to inflate and then use the hand pump to get the desired firmness.
Not bad for a spare bed or to travel, you could spend way more and probably get a much nicer set up but for me I will use this once or twice a year and there is no reason to spend a lot on a mattress that is likely to get a hole from being left in the bottom of the closet most of the year.

I Intex Classic Downy Queen Airbed with 2 Pillows and Double Quick Hand Pump
So far, so good. Some air did leak out the first night but we tightened the screw and it seems to be holding in the air. For the money, I think it's pretty good.

Totally worth it's money, August 8, 2010

Been using it for a month now - no problems, very comfortable (I sleep on it every day). Smelled with rubber when I unpacked it, but the smell vanished in a few days. Inflates in about 5-10 minutes with the supplied hand pump. Needed to pump some additional air only once since I bought it. Haven't tried the pillows.

Doesn't hold up very long, June 3, 2010
By BLS (Houston, Texas)

I bought this as a replacement mattress for my mom when her old air mattress had a leak. She really enjoyed this mattress and said it was very comfortable. It took a little while to pump it up though and was a little difficult and did not come with any instructions, but she figured it out. Unfortunately after a week of use, there is now a hole where the pump plugs in and it can not be fixed with the patch. This may be nice for short use, but it won't last long.

Good deal, September 9, 2009
By cassie

Good, sturdy mattress. I used it for a long weekend of camping, and it stayed inflated the entire time, unlike other airbeds I've tried before. Very affordable too. Hand pump was nice, takes longer than a battery powered pump obviously, but it's nice not to worry about your batteries dying while camping, and it's much lighter to carry.

SERVED THE PURPOSE, August 31, 2009
By Camp Beverly Hills (Los Angeles, CA)

First time camper here, wanted something comfortable and durable for the weekend. I tried to blow the bed up with the hand-pump but found the process exhausting. Fortunately, another camper in our group had a battery operated pump which I was able to use. The bed inflated in a couple minutes and the pillows too. The bed was comfortable and stayed inflated the whole weekend. The pillows are small. I was able to put both pillows in one regular size pillowcase. Over all this was a good purchase and would definitely recommend it.

great buy, August 20, 2009
By blue water

Bought the item around a month or so. Good deal for the price. The pillows are not so useful; they are not comfortable, but the mattress is great. It inflates in around 10 minutes of hand pumping and another 10 minutes to deflate it. It gets a little deflated when we woke up. Anyway, you can just pump it back the next day. We also use it for indoor purpose and we loved it.

Not Bad For The Price., December 13, 2008
By Em.Mae (Oxford, MA USA)
|

This is a pretty good air mattress, I use it as an everyday bed on top of my horrible mattress. I sleep pretty good on it. The only complaint is that I have to put more air in it every day or two, but thats not that big of a deal considering the pump that came with it. The last air mattress I had to blow it all up by mouth. That was just rediculous. I thank so much that it came with a pump. If your looking for a decent air mattress, don't hesitate to purchase this one.

Didn't last a single night..., February 5, 2012
By kafuela

This bed was comfortable enough (at first) and easy to inflate/deflate. However, it didn't even last a single night before springing a leak and becoming unusable. It required refilling because I was hitting the floor at least twice a night.
Completely useless. Really a shame I couldn't get a refund on this product.

It simply doesn't work., February 11, 2010
By Aaron Williamson (NYC, NY USA)
|

I had family coming into town to stay, and needed an air mattress in a hurry, so I ordered this. I made the mistake of waiting to try it till the last minute, and immediately regretted ordering it. The pump comes with 3 nozzles, none of which attaches securely to the valve on the bed. There are no directions for inflating it, which shouldn't be an issue for such a simple mechanism, but using the largest nozzle (which the box shows as the appropriate one to use to inflate the bed) no air makes it into the mattress at all; there is just a high pitched whistling noise. The second largest nozzle doesn't stay in the valve. The smallest nozzle causes the bed to inflate very slowly and with enormous amounts of effort, but only till the bed is about 90% inflated, at which point it will inflate no further.
My guest is lying on a limpid air mattress and I am sorely regretting my purchase.
