Not Good If you Own a Spinning Bike!, June 30, 2009
By Alfred (Miami, FL)
|

I was mislead to believe this DVD was for spinning bike owners! It is not! If you own a spinning bike with a resistance knob, it is no good for you!

I was sweating buckets, December 10, 2008
By M. Sakamoto (Arizona)
|
|
I have a spin bike and thought maybe this wouldn't work, no one was on a spin bike. I also ride a Mountain Bike when the weather permits, so I'm familiar with the gears, I just followed their candance. Wow what a workout! I have alot of other spin DVD's but like this better. I will be getting more Spinervals!

Have A Towel Handy!, November 16, 2008
By D. R. Schlott (Waynesburg, PA USA)

As my title says, have a towel handy! This Spinervals DVD gets the sweat flowing quick, and that's a good thing! This is an excellent spin workout for getting your on the bike fitness level up. If you're looking to step up from the Spinervals 1.0 fitness DVD, buy it. It's a lot more challenging than you may think from it's description.

Have increased endurance and fitness level, January 21, 2009
By Viera (North Carolina)

By using the Spinerval Cycling DVDs, I have increased my endurance and fitness level significantly. I particulary like the Cycling with Iron Girl. Couch Troy is friendly yet motivating and I am never bored. I alternate the Spinerval DVDs with the virtual riding DVDs by Bike-O-Vision. This combination has really been a plus in my training routine.

Great workout, December 2, 2009
By linsey (Colorado)

The first time I did this workout, I wasn't all that impressed. Then I took the time to count the teeth on my rear cog and realized that I was riding in much lower gears than called for. Once I got in the right gear, I loved it. This workout is all business. No cutesy stories about being chased by dogs or bees, just plain old hard work.

I just didn't like the instructor. Thought he was kind of annoying and not motivating at all.

Good but not good enough, February 15, 2011
By Jimmy P (Indianapolis, IN USA)

This is my second spinervals dvd. While I am in no way claiming to be a pro or experienced rider, I am not a beginner. The naming is misleading. It was just too easy. The dvd is for beginner to intermediate. Even when you are doing the high cadence sets the gear ratio is not hard enough to get my heart rate up close to i. The hardest part is a pyramid set. I am now using this dvd as my recovery day exercise.
I am much more a fan of Suffer-o-rama. I have been doing this DVD for the past winter season, and I still get my butt kicked every single time. Plus the "scenery" on the tempo exercises is not too bad either.

Cheesy but gets the job done, November 23, 2010

I used this workout dvd with pretty good success this past winter. It has horribly cheesy music and cast, but the workout is great and a good variety within the dvd.

As expected with Spinervals....they work you hard and relate easily to a road bike on an indoor trainer

This is a great video to get started with indoor training on your bike. It definitely gets the sweat and the heart pumping! They need more sequences on the DVD though.

Great Workout.., January 9, 2010
By Hope Swanson (California)

This is our fourth DVD, third for the Spinerval Training workout. We have enjoyed it. Great cardio, keeps you motivated. I just like how Troy words during the exercise keep you going, he makes you laugh, and the people are normal folk.
Enjoy your ride!

Spinervals Fitness 2.0 Sweating Buckets, April 30, 2009
By glmunde (Utah)

Like others I found the trainer clear, the music appropriate and the selection of companion riders on the video helpful. Since I'm on a spinning bike the reference to gears on the road bike which directly influences intensity would have been better to provide both gear ratio settings and "knob turns" for spinning bikes. I would also like good stretch instruction at the end of the work out.

For 45 minutes I have a great workout, December 23, 2011

I am not a cyclist, but like to spin to stay healthy. Troy is great coach and this workout involves fast spinning sets, interval sets, and hill sets. I was not bored at all and boy did I feel like I got a great workout. Between each set there is a rest time, and to some degree you need it provided you put in 100% during the set! The group included all age group, all with decent fitness, so you are not training with just triathletes! Although there were references to cyclist terms, this you figure out pretty quickly what it means by looking at the leg speed of the group! This is my first spine rival DVD workout and I am impressed and I will look into getting a few more. One less star since I wish they had references for spin bikes too.
