Great value for the price!, June 20, 2009

I bought two of these for what it would have cost to buy one of lesser quality at my local bike shop. I screwed them into a 2x4 to put in the bed of my pickup truck and they work just great. I was surprised at the workmanship quality of this sturdy fork mount. Highly recommend the product.

Works well what it's intended for, May 5, 2011

I have 2 bikes and an SUV. I was able to carry only one bike by lying it down. I bought 2 of these; now I can mount both my bikes (or one).
Pros: So much cheaper than a bicycle rack, safer against theft and the elements.
Cons: I deducted one star because the axis is lower than the handle...therefore, is not easy to rotate it 360 degrees. First I mounted them on 2 pcs. of 2x2 cut as wide as its base to give enough clearance for the handle then screwed them on a 6x1x48 wood.

Can't go wrong with this fork block!, October 4, 2010
By S. Brasel (Seabrook, MD United States)

I purchased two of these and mounted them to a pine 1x6x36" in order to create an interior bike holder for my 2006 RAV4. Refer to the photo gallery above. My bike fits fine but I can see that for bikes for tall riders it would be necessary to remove or lower the saddle/seat post assembly (or use a larger vehicle). With an interior bike holder the bike is both held securely -and- well-protected from theft, vandalism and the elements.
In any event, these fork blocks are great; no need to go with a costlier version sporting a fancy brand name.

Economy priced but built to last, September 21, 2009

This rack system is simple, but gives you flexibility. It worked great for me because I already have a hitch mounted cargo carrier. All I had to do to make it a bike rack was to drill these T970 Fork blocks to it. I bought two. Holds my bike and my wife's bike very securely. I would highly recommend this product.

Does the job, January 4, 2009
By D. Williams (Bethany, OK USA)

I mounted four of these along on the side rails of my 10 foot utility trailer in order to haul my my family's bikes and camping gear for weekend outings. What can I say, it does what it's supposed to. The only problem with the rig is that the rear wheels migrate toward the back of the trailer (since bikes are sitting perpendicular to the direction of travel). A few long zip ties fixed that.

Happy all the way, March 20, 2009
By Jean Francois Busque (USA)

I saved myself at least 220$ and I now have the freedom to carry my bike on my SUV after only drilling 2 little holes in my factory rooftop rack. I use 2 bolts, couple rubber washers and 2 wing nuts and that is it! I use a strap to secure the back wheel.
It is easy and fast to setup and take down. It looks like it was factory installed. This will put THULE out of business. Can't go wrong with the price either.

After making two bike holders for my other bikes I purchased this one to try for another bike that has smaller forks, It works well, the design good, well made. The only thing bad was that I had to take it off and paint it over again because the paint faded in less than one week. I Powder coated it and it has been looking great since. Spray paint for plastics also works. I would recomend leaving the axle part locked in your house or vehicle, I caught some kid trying to steal mine.

Can't beat the price, August 11, 2011

I ordered 2 of these to make a bike rack in the back of my Honda Fit, I bolted them down to a 2x6 and strapped that down in the back and it works perfectly. My only gripe is that the fork block is somewhat loose, I have to screw it down a bit to get the bikes locked in tight, and unscrew a bit to get them out. Not a major issue, but something to note, if that kind of thing will bother you, I'm sure the fork mounts that cost twice as much will be better on that front.

does the job for less, July 18, 2011
By consumer of products and other t.. (Tangier, Morocco)

They do the job they were designed to without an expensive brand association.
I have two of these and one Yakima Blockhead fork mount. I prefer these hands down over the Yakima, which was difficult to mount due to the fact that the vertical bit slants back over the bolt holes making it nearly impossible to mount if you are using bolts that have screw driver (philips or flathead) heads. Also, after a short while the Yakima mount has become really difficult to tighten down without using pliers. The Hollywoods on the other hand are still going strong. Have one mounted on my truck with the Yakima, and another mounted on a home-made steel tube load bar on top of my car. Like.

I've bought two of these for the back of my car, I just screw them to a plank of wood and i can transport my bikes inside my car (where they are safer) - much cheaper than a set of bike racks.

Good to Go, July 23, 2010
By Scooter

Purchased 4 of this so that I could transport our bikes to the mountains for weekend fun rides. These worked well and allowed me to customize my mounts. These were about 2/3 the price as my local store had them for. I wasn't worried about the fact that they didn't have a locking feature, however if I was going to use them for road trip or into the city I would rig-up a way to lock the bikes up. Good item for the price.

Works great. I bolted two of these to a 2x4 in the back of my truck to haul our bikes. It makes it nice so the bikes aren't laying down on top of your other gear. I wish they were spring loaded like the wheel on my bike but for the price they work great.

I plan to mount these on a long 2X4 which I'll clamp to my truck bed so I don't have to drill into the truck. I have not used them yet but they appear solid and well built.

I bought 6 of these racks for a trip with several heavy and lite bikes. They works flawlessly and we had no issues at any time. Don't spend double the price on essentially the same product, save the money and go with this product.

I bought two of these fork mounts and installed them myself on my truck. Once my bikes were locked in, they didn't move at all. These fork mounts are high quality and I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a good set of fork mounts.

Spend the extra money for a better product, June 14, 2009

Maybe it's the width of my forks (Specialized Allez Elite), but it takes a lot of screwing/unscrewing to get the bike secured. Yakima makes a fork mount that is much easier to work with.

Fork mount is well made and performs as it should. Paying $10 for this is just common sense, I usually say you get what you pay for but in this particular case the Hollywood fork block is just as good a product as the high priced ones.

Fork Blocks work Great!, May 24, 2012
By Garett Cunningham

I bought these fork blocks for my pickup and was able to use them within minutes. I cut a 2x6 stud long enought to go across my truck bed and screwed the fork block to the wood stud. Within minutes i was headed out with my bike to go ride. I use them at least 4 days per week. The bikes clip in and out as easy as I could imagine. Great Product!
