It is fine. Used it to disassemble my rear hub which was shot. Looks like the rubber strike surface could be changed if it wore down. It just threads on with a bolt.

Thia was a gift from my wish list. Didn't really need it, but love it. Park tools are usually top quality, and this hammer is no exception.

Not the hammer, April 25, 2012

First I would like to state that this hammer is no longer manufactured and it's not the hammer I received. I was sent (they emailed and asked first) the new and improved model which is heavier and much better than this one. They replaced the rubber with nylon and introduced a more hammer like blunt side of stainless and has a stout rubberized handle.
