get the locking nozzle, October 21, 2010
By Eric Anderson (San Francisco, CA United States)

These nozzles leak if you place your bag on top of them or even bend over, it pinches it. This nozzle constantly leaks all our water out, soaks our bag and pisses us off. Our other bags have the locking one which is much better. The best nozzle I have used was some no name brand bag. You had to bite between two solid cylinders. That was great. The quality of rubber is good of course so it gets 2 stars... but seriously, get the locking one. You have been warned.

Bite Valve, September 14, 2009

What can you say? If you need a new bite valve, you need a new bite valve. It was for my 8-year old son's CamelBak which was still fairly new, but, he bit the thing all up. This came fast, it was far less expensive than a bike shop, and it's original manufacturer equipment. I am so glad to have been able to get it from dentalBookshop. Otherwise, my son would have succumbed to his thirst in the Florida wilderness and then what?

CamelBak Bit Valve, August 15, 2011

These values would probably last the life of the bladder, but I had an unfortunate incident with some mice and had to replace mine! Fits just like the valve that came with the backpack and works great!

Not Perfect but very, very good, April 28, 2011

I think this is a very, very good product based on several years experience. It will leak if you set something on top of it or let your pack roll over on top of it. After all it is designed to open under pressure. No valve will last forever. After enough hard use or pressure, or if dirt or grass gets stuck in the valve it will not close completely and will leak. More than once I've had water drip down the front of my shirt from a worn out or damaged valve. A few years ago I discovered the CamelBak Ergo HydroLock. I still sometimes forget to turn it off, but that's my problem not CamelBak's.
