Bright...Safe, October 14, 2009

Bright! The flash setting is almost too much. The only problem is it doesn't have additional reflective elements. They should make the areas around the LEDs reflective and the light would be incredible.

tail light, November 14, 2009
By tooth doc (Marshfield, WI, USA)

I did a minimal amount of research on this bicycle tail light. Was pleased when I got it.
The mounting is easy, the battery installation is easy, the design is terrific and the removal off the mounting should you want to clip it to a backpack/bike shirt is excellent.
Though not exactly inexpensive, the light is worth the money.

Decent, March 17, 2011

This light is a definite step up from other cheapies I've used in the past and the mounting bracket has been solid. The thing is, I recently bought a Planet Bike Superflash and it is leagues better--definitely worth the extra money. It seems roughly twice as bright and the blinking pattern is much more eye-catching. Plus, Planet Bike donates 25% of its profits to bike advocacy, so some of the extra money you'll spend will go to a good cause.

Diminutive Size, Brilliantly Bright, March 20, 2010
By Kent (San Antonio, TX)

I recently purchased this product for my hybrid to make myself more visible when riding for exercise in the evenings and early mornings around my neighborhood. When I received it I was amazed at just how compact and lightweight the product actually is. It tucks neatly up under my saddle when attached to the seat post and doesn't interfere with anything/anyone in that location but is highly visible from behind. The mounting mechanism allows for adjusting the "tilt" of the light which allowed taking into account the angle of the seat post so that its still level to the road after mounting; a nice design touch. Good product, great price. Recommended.

Works great, June 25, 2008

No complaints so far, except that it's very easy to take off, so someone could steal it easily if I didn't take it off the bike when parked in a public place.

Bright, dependable, good on the bike or clipped to your clothes, February 24, 2012
By CD (Japan)

I like this light a lot. It is bright, has the typical modes (flashing, strobe, etc.), and has a nice flat profile that makes it easier to wear on your clothes (it comes with a clip for that purpose). The price is very reasonable, too. I ride in the rain a lot and this light has not let me down. Finally, the on/off switch seems to be located so that when I put it in my backpack it doesn't get bumped and inadvertently get turned on (thus draining batteries). This has been a problem for me with some of the Cateye models, but not this one. It gets a solid 5 rating from me. Not even a little niggle.

I have three. No excuses for hitting me in the dark, March 30, 2011

These little lights are great. I have one facing backwards and one on each side (tied with the very convenient base to the tongs of my front fork). They're bright, they have a variety of attention grabbing flash patterns, and they must be very energy efficient because I haven't had to replace the batteries and I've used them a lot.

Overall I'm very satisfied with this light. Installation was slightly challenging once I figured out how the strap worked.

Well made, a bit heavy, but worth it. Not the brightest light out there (planetbike light is brighter), but for $12.00 you can't complain.

Not bright enough for me, September 15, 2011
By Earth Watcher

Note: I have posted this same review to the product pages of all the products listed below.
I reviewed the following products, and have listed them in my order of preference:
1. Cateye TL-LD610-BR 5-LED Rear Bicycle Light ([...])
2. Planet Bike Blinky "7" 7-Led Rear Bicycle Light ([...])
3. Cateye TL-LD150 LED Bicycle Tail and Safety Light (Red) ([...])
1. Was definitely the brightest. It was also the best-built, with the most number of blinking options. It's easy to attach and change the batteries -- all around a good design. The bicycle store clerk also said it was the brightest he had. But they're expensive.
2. Is the best bang-for-your-buck. It's less designed, and not as bright, but still bright enough.
3. I wouldn't recommend this one. It was significantly less bright than the other two.

I first mounted on my seat post and it was quick and easy. I then bought a wedge bag and used the supplied clip to connect it to the bag and again quick and easy. The light is bright and can be seen from a great distance.

Good light for the money, April 9, 2012
By Joe

This is a very good tail light for the amount it sold for. Relatively bright and the different settings are a plus and will alert vehicles behind you or even other riders. I would suggest though if you live in a very dark area or plan on riding where there is little to no street lights to invest in a different light so you can be more noticeable.

does the job well, bright, March 2, 2012

Bright, very visible, simple to install. So far it's held up well (about a year of use), so I'd say fairly durable. Definitely better than other blinkies I've used on my bike. Still on original batteries and I ride every day. Good buy.
