4.0 out of 5 stars.  Life Saver on Long Hikes, July 22, 2011
By J. Vincent
This stuff is exactly what I needed for backpacking. It prevents chaffing perfectly and only needed to be applied in a small amount. I would have given it a 5 star rating if the packaging was more thought out. Your choice is to buy the 8 oz tube or the rip top packaging. The 8 oz is too much to take out for a week on the trail and the rip tops are messy and difficult to keep inside the container once opened and put in my pack. I just put it in a plastic bag and make due but a smaller version, say 1oz- 2oz tube with a lid would be an ideal carry size. Still love the stuff and it has really really saved me from serious discomfort. I just knocked off a 32 mile trip with absolutely no chaffing! Worth the cost!

When you want to walk all day at a Music Festival in shorts or a skirt and don't want a rash from your thighs rubbing together, get this lube!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Not just for bicyclists, August 25, 2011
By cjk
While preparing for a 60 mile backpacking trek this summer I came home with annoying chafing in the nether regions. The Mrs got right on line and found this stuff. Worked great and a number of other members of our trek appreciated it too. Not only for down under but worked on the hips/hip belt area for some of our skinnier trekkers. The trek was challenging enough and Butt butter made it that much less uncomfortable. Happy trails all!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  A DEFINITE MUST FOR BICYCLING!!, March 5, 2011
By Melissa Westbrook (West Central FL, USA)
If you bicycle more than 5 miles at a time, you definitely need to use this product. The first 2 times I cycled, I did not use this product and I was very irritated. After that, I used it and there was no problem. It is a definite MUST for women! It really makes a difference. Take my word for it. Amazon.com has the best deal!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Convenient size good for travel, February 14, 2011
By Visit my Amazon Profile page! (Bay Area, CA)
There is nothing special to this other than the really handy pre-package for travel. You do not have to worry about airport security with these pre-packaged little squeeze bags.

If you are going somewhere and worry about airport security with a big Butt'r jar, then get some of these and just use them for the trips alone. That's what I do.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Don' leave home without it, August 7, 2010

Don't be fooled by other brands. I've tried them, this one is the best, and the individual packs are SO handy when you're on a long ride for added comfort along the way.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Simple easy and quick transaction, June 1, 2008
By Fabrice Beaulieu
Great product , hard to find in LBS. Glad I found it. Very handy to have for those long days in the saddle. Could also use Body Glide but this is way more efficient and lasts longer. Great transaction, honest merchant, will most likely purchase another pack in the weeks to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great product and the packets mean you CAN take it with you, January 6, 2012
By Todd Donovan (Bend, OR USA)
I've been using Chamois Butt'r for years - and the only downside was that it was hard to take it with me on long rides. I keep these in the drawer with all the energy bars and gels so when I'm going out I can just add one to the mix. Especially good on hot days when the effectiveness of the first application deteriorates faster.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  It does what it does well enough..., October 15, 2011
By A. Wickman (Lincoln, Nebraska United States)
I use Chamois Butt'r (from the large tubes) before most rides longer than 30 miles or so and carry the small packets with me "just in case." Often, on 50 or 60-mile rides, I feel like something is rubbing and I'll use one of the small packets to take care of things. It always works, although it often feels a little slimy down there right after I've applied it. Everyone's different, but I feel safe in saying that it's not for sitbone problems and it's no substitute for getting saddle-conditioned. But I believe that it adds comfort, even for the saddle conditioned. As for the stuff in the larger containers, I've tried both the regular variety and the one with menthol (the "European" variety) and can't tell any difference in performance. Also, the directions talk about applying the product to the chamois itself. I've never done that and don't see a reason to do it; opinions contrary to that are welcomed.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Cream That Does The Trick, October 14, 2011
By J. Berg
There's plenty of cream in each of these little packets. They are just the right size to take along on multiple-day rides. Because they are so small and light, they hardly take up any room in my rack bag. Great purchase.
