 Rolled down within 10 minutes, February 20, 2010

Title says it all. They rolled down within 10 minutes of normal walking wearing saucony classics shoes. Sigh...I've gone through so many pairs of ankle socks that roll down, it's ridiculous. You'd think non-rolling down sock technology (like non-inverting umbrella technology) would be a solved problem by now, but I guess not. It seems quality elastic threading is something most companies either cheap out on or don't know how to get right.
I've only had success with 2 companies' ankle socks not rolling down: Nike and Brooks Brothers; but that was years ago, so who knows what it's like now.
I gave these 2 stars because they are soft and they fit pretty well.

I've had to stop to pull the socks up over my heal several times. I do not recommend them for anything requiring a lot of foot activity....hiking or running.

I am a size 9-10 in Men's and these socks fit great. I especially like the all black color. However, I went to both Target and Walmart and noticed that the socks were much cheaper there so I would recommend going to the store first to compare prices. Otherwise, I like the color and the fit is good.

I have size 11 feet and they feel a little small for me. In retrospect I would by the size above. but maybe after wearing they will stretch out more and then I'll be glad I bought the size i did? otherwise comfy and very cushy/thick feeling even after 2 washes.

These are so comfy that I put them on and never have to ever pull them up or anything. Even despite the fact that I be moving around and kinda fast for many hours a day. Good socks, cheap price, no shipping or tax. AWESOME.

really comfortable socks. They stay tight on my foot even after a couple of washes. I really hate it when i wash socks and they get all loose and start falling off my feet and these don't!

Bought these and they've lasted and washed well. Price is iffy, can probably get them cheaper elsewhere but if you are in a rush or don't leave your house then get them here. If they were cheaper they'd get a hire rating. Seemed as good as any sock of this level should perform.

My shoe size is 9 and these socks fits very well and very comfortable. Giving 4 stars because of the price, six socks for 10 bucks is little expensive.
PS - I got the same socks from Target but they are not as comfortable and the length of the socks are little bigger.

I'm not sure I should blame the socks since I think this is partially caused by them being very low cut but the process of walking takes them off my feet in a few minutes. Do other people not walk places in their socks? Do they have a different style of walking?

They're very well styled for socks I think. They're solid black with just a red line at the toes. They're more comfortable than some of the cheaper black Hanes socks you'll find, but they do slide down sometimes as mentioned in other reviews.
I'm a size 9-9.5 and they fit well, I wouldn't get them if you're above a 10 though.

These are just adequate socks. They stretched out fine to fit my very large feet. They don't slip down in back like cheap low cuts. However, I would never use the word "cushion" to describe these: they're actually very sheer for athletic socks, offering zero padding for your skin against leather or durable materials in your shoes. I expect that they'll suffer from holes and thread baring after just a few wears. Compared to Adidas' middle of the road low cuts (available at Amazon in 3 pk), these things feel paper thin while the Adidas feel quite substantial. For a couple of bucks more (or for the same $ at Costco for 6 pk!), the Adidas offer better protection and wearability.

Our family has been using Hanes products for as long as I can remember. I'm disappointed with the quality of these socks. The make is not very good. After a month of constant washing, the heels are beginning to bear a hole! The quality is a little different from the ones that are sold in the malls here. I do not recommend you get them even if they come in a pack of 6.

Didn't care for these socks, they are only 61% cotton, and don't feel like soft cotton. They have a medium pile lining that has more of a stiffer polyester feel. The fit was good though for my size 10.5 feet, no complaints there.

I'm not sure how much there is to say about socks, but these are comfy and thin enough so they fit perfectly with my running shoes. They are a bit big in the back so they aren't as "low cut" as I would have hoped, but I think that's because there is such a large gap of shoe sizes covered. No real complaints though.

These socks are very thick and soft.
I buy the low cut ones for jogging to avoid a high "sock-tan-line."
I've owned a lot of Hanes Socks over the years, and they have always held up well.
Plus for $7 you cant go wrong!

I usually hate socks like this, because they don't stay put. These are the only exception I have ever found. I wear a size 10- 10 1/2 show size. I love how comfortable they are & how they stay on. Definitely worth a try. The other reviews & stars speak for themselves.

I ordered a few packages of these in black and haven't really had a problem with them. I bought them for everyday use, and I even run/hike with them and I haven't had a problem with them rolling down. I'd recommend getting one package to make sure they fit right before ordering more.
Besides that, they hold up pretty well to repeated washes, I've had them for a few months now and they've held up fine. They're definitely not the highest quality socks in the world, but they'll get the job done.

Being a size 12 the socks fit perfectly and without much effort. Nothing more can really be said, apparel might be cheaper when in store but you'd have to travel out. I do most of my shopping online so it's just one less thing I have to go out and do.

I like having shorter socks, especially with shorts and these are perfect. They are thick, but light and breathy. Perfect length for shorts or low top shoes. Hanes quality and a decent price on Amazon.
Pros:
* Perfect Length for shots and low top shows
* Good Quality
* Breathable
* Grey patches for tow and heel.
Cons:
* I want more of them. :)
