5.0 out of 5 stars.  Super Comfortable Saddle!!!, October 19, 2007
By Alexander Brenner (Huntington Station, NY United States)
This is a GREAT seat, I bought it to replace my stock seat (specialized comfort seat) It is nice and soft, wide and I love the hole, it keeps the sensitve area pain free and cool. I have tried several saddles and this is the best one!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very comfy, February 4, 2008
By Rob from NYC
As stated by the other reviewer, this seat is great for the sensitive area for guys. It's gel helps out on bumps. The only reason I stopped in the past was due to that pain/ feeling guys get on standard seats. I only stopped on this seat the other day because I'm out of shape (8 months + without riding). My quads began to hurt bad, not to mention biking in the cold isn't great for breathing. Buy the seat, it's great.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice, wide, soft comfortable., May 25, 2008
By Hooty Hoot (Amish Country)
I had purchased a Schwinn Sierra after no riding a bike for 35 years the bike seat was terrible so I shopped until I was tired of looking, my bike has the micro adjust seat post where rails connect to the post, this comes with an adapter for the simple post, remove this and mount the seat to the rails and you are in business, except the BMX as I believe their rails are a 7mm or at least different but do not fret about mounting as this fits both the pipe type of post and the post that accepts the rails.

I wanted something wide as I am 5 feet 6 in at 210 pounds with a 28 inseam, this seat is plenty wide and comfortable, it is not too wide between the legs as I feared, it has the rubber bumper type of shocks that in my opinion better than springs as with limited experience the springs allow your butt to wobble, a bobble head butt ... not with this.

A customer with the name of Robert gave a review of a different Cloud 9 saddle, it was good and he provided pictures and it was evident that he was a serious rider not someone with health issues looking to ride and look so I added 2 inches to the size he liked and did good by ordering the same seat only 2 inches wider, thank you Robert, Amazon and Niagara.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  A Comfortable Seat!, August 23, 2009
By LadyGaleCarlisle (Shelton CT)
Thanks to a permanently detached tailbone, I cannot ride bikes equipted with regular seats. This is my second Cloud 9 seat: the last was narrower, with the lycra cover. As I ride to do all of my errands as well as for fun, comfort and durability are both key. This seat is wider than the regular ones, which is better for me on long runs. The leather-like cover promises longer wear as well. If you suffer discomfort on regular bike seats, the deep, vented groove will be a revelation. In concert with the gel padding and shock absorbers, this seat is heaven on long rides.
Be aware, it is not designed to be used with an underseat bag. I was able to mount my underseat bag only after making some minor modifications.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  It really works, January 31, 2009
By An Engineer and Business Person (San Francisco, CA USA)
This seat really does the job. The numbness is gone. It's exceptionally comfortable. With all the gel it contains, it will probably be a bit heavier than the seat that came with the bike, but it's by far worth the weight. The smooth cover appears to be more durable than others.

It comes with the standard thick wire mounting capability, along with a bracket to slide onto a bike tube. Some bikes use an integrated bracket welded to a tube to save weight, so you'll discard their bracket and use the one that came with the bike.

It takes only a few minutes to remove your old seat and install this one. I was expecting problems on a 20 year old mountain bike that has been through the mud of the out back, expecting all the bolts would have been rusted, but removal of the old seat and installation of this one was effortless.

It's really comfortable, and I'm glad I bought it.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great seat, May 5, 2009
By T. Rynberg
I bought this seat to replace the original on my airdyne exercise bike. I must say that this seat is most comfortable. It takes a lot of the pressure off your tail bone. It is quality constructed, and should last a long time.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  best seat ever, July 15, 2009
By Tarik Brown (fairfax, virginia)
I received my seat 4 days after purchasing. Setup was easy may have to take clamp off seat depending on the bar setup of your bike, but pretty easy to install. Seat is very comfortable, rode 20 miles with no problem.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  wet butt!, March 2, 2010
By Chess fanatic (Zigzag, Oregon USA)
Well, it is a comfortable bike seat...but it soaks up water like a sponge! Not good if you are biking in the rain, that is for sure! It takes a while to dry out, so be prepared for this task if you get it wet.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Comfort and Value, October 1, 2009
By Electronics Geek (God's country TEXAS)
I've just started to ride a bicycle again for exercise and realized the reason I couldn't ride very long was the seat was just too uncomfortable, so I shopped and this is what I bought, and couldn't be happier. Now I can ride until the rest of my body can't take it.

Sunlite Cloud-9 Bicycle Suspension Comfort Saddle, Cruiser Select
I recently purchased a bike just for exercise and leisure riding. The seat on the bike left my rear hurting. I purchased the Cloud-9 Comfort Saddle and what a difference. The seat is extremely comfortable. It was delivered within a few days and I couldn't be happier.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice, while it lasted..., July 26, 2010
By Escrimeur
This seat was really quite comfortable, even on longish rides (40 miles or so is my limit) and was great for my 7 mile commutes. It didn't last forever, alas, as its suspension bar on the bottom snapped at the bracket leaving me with a rather lopsided seat. This was after a bit over a year of steady biking on rough pavement (and a not-so-small rider at 195lb), so perhaps the 1300 miles I got out of it is not unreasonable. I've ordered up another one, which indicates my satisfaction...

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good for the money., May 17, 2010
By adrenaline junkie (South Florida)
If you need a seat a little larger than normal, this one is great. Very comfortable, but the plastic on the bottom will not stand up to abuse. But, then again, most beach cruiser seats don't take much abuse. I'm 220 with a large rear, and it was great as my first seat, no pain at all, while I got in shape on the bike. Now after a month, I'm mostly riding singletrac mountainbike trails, so had to find a skinny gel seat. Satisfied with product and put it on my wife's bike.

Great price! Shipped same day ordered. Received in perfect condition, 4 days early. Seat is as described; a well made sturdy seat. It is much, much more confortable than my old seat. Looks good and sporty on my bike. Very easy to install. I can ride much longer and further with less discomfort. TJ in Florida

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Butt still pains me..., September 13, 2010
By Dave (Glen Rock, PA)
I bought this seat, based on reviews of others, to replace my stock Schwinn Voyageur GS (2009) seat. I have taken the bike out several times since, but nothing over 10 miles, all on rail trails, and all at meandering speeds of 6 to 9 mph. I thought maybe my discomfort was the fact I wasn't on a bike in a few years, but found out that isn't it at all.

I'm standard build, 6' 2" and have the riding position set properly on the bike.

Yesterday, we hit the rail trail for a 33 miler in preparation for a 120 miler next weekend (which will span 4 days of cycling). I was pulling a Schwinn trailer (20 lbs) loaded with 53 lbs of gear.

My butt and groin are still tingling from this seat. It wasn't a pleasant experience to say the least.

Today I went to a bike shop and told them my issue. They said the Cloud 9 was "good" seat and left it at that. I showed them my riding position, and they said my seat height was right. Well, after discussion and looking at what they had, I replaced the Cloud 9 with a Serfas full suspension Cruiser saddle, which they let me try in the neighborhood for as long as I wanted (I had my bike with me).

The Cloud 9 has what looks like grommets where springs should be between the seat and seat frame. This setup doesn't allow for any play when the legs are pumping. The Serfas has a cross spring setup under the seat pad, more cushion for the sit bones, and real springs between the pad and the seat frame. I can feel the seat moving with my body now, instead of feeling it resist my movement.

When I purchased my Cloud 9, I also got a Ladies version for a friend who rides with us. She was in great pain before reaching the turnaround point 16.5 miles into the trip and walked the last 1/4 mile.

The section of the rail trail we rode on started at 413' in elevation and ended at 878' (at the turnaround point), with just a few small downhill grades along the climb up. So, we were pedaling uphill most of the way along the 1st half of the trip. Neither of us could have continued up hill with the pain we were experiencing.

Buy this seat if you want, it's your money.

I'll locate the Serfas seat in Amazon and will post my review after our 120 mile trip. Hopefully, my tush will stop tingling by then and I'll be able to give the Serfas an honest review.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Wonderful upgrade!, March 30, 2010
By R. Lowers (Jackson, Miss.)
The Cloud-9 seat installed easily on my Next bike, replacing a slightly smaller stock spring-loaded 'comfort' seat. And what a difference in comfort! Great product at a reasonable price.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  No more sore butt., March 22, 2010
By Leo F. ONEIL (Houston, TX)
I use this seat on my Schwinn Cruiser SS and my Giant Sedona.
It's the best I've ever found for preventing the old aching tailbone.
Go for it. It's the one.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Super comfy!!!!, March 17, 2010
By J. Olarte
I bought this for my 1984 Schwinn fat tire classic cruiser, the saddle is super wide and comfortable. The anatomical void and vent panel for the family jewels is well thought out and executed. I am able to cruise the boardwalk for hours now. This saddles cost $20 more at the LBS. It is worth it to wait for the 5 day free shipping. I would recommend this saddle as a stock or upgrade replacement to anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Much better, September 24, 2009
By J. Carlile (St Louis)
I bought these to replace seats that came with bikes I purchased. The difference is like night and day. WAY more comfortable. The old seat pretty much had me in pain within 15 minutes of riding. I rode on this seat for over six miles with no problems.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  uncomfortable seam, July 15, 2011
By el_reviewor
I got this, and unfortunately it has a hard seam along the crotch.

Otherwise it looks good, like they dangled perfection in front of your face and then yanked it away.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very comfortable seat - highly recommend it, December 11, 2010
By Carol
My husband purchased this seat after much research. Previous seats he had tried really hurt his tailbone. This seat corrected that problem. He rode 20 miles the other day - with no tailbone pain at all. Price was great also. I may be investing in one soon also. Thanks for the great product.!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Riding my bike was a real pain in the butt, until now., July 21, 2010
By E. Pasco (Island of Kauai)
This seat is really comfortable. It takes the pressure off your rear end and your front end. I was trying to get into riding my bike regularly, but my butt would end up sore and my man parts would start to lose circulation. This seat helped alleviate those issues and made my afternoon rides much more enjoyable.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Different from shown on the picture, September 9, 2011
By leo
The saddle is 3-color, a different (cheaper) model from shown on the picture. I hoped it to be all leather-covered (as shown on the picture) and, therefore, waterproof. It is 3-color and is not waterproof and soaks a lot of water during rain.
