4.0 out of 5 stars.  Quick review on hydration bladder, June 1, 2010
By Thomas E. Gill (Tucson, AZ)
I received the hydration bladder within six days. I consider that to be relatively quick considering that we had a weekend and holiday with no postal delivery within that time span. The bladder is well made and seals well. I can not complain for the price I paid with free shipping ($13.95) Overall, it is exactly what I expected. I did see bladders at Wal Mart for $9.95 not including tax, but they did not have the large opening. That to me is a must have, it makes it much easier to put ice into the bladder. There are however, two things that could be improved on this bladder. One, is the absence of a valve at the mouth piece the other is that the insulation along the drinking hose could be a bit longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Durable Product, October 20, 2009
By A. Brown (Phx, AZ)
Bought this from the Global Sportsman and it was a great purchase. Product is durable and fits in all the camelbacks we have in this family. Bladder, hose, and tip are great products. Bought extras since my old gear was needing replacing - made a great choice ordering this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Perfect Price and a Perfect fit, August 10, 2010
By Matt
Bought this bladder to put in my hunting pack. Using this bladder is much more comfortable than having to wear a seperate camelbak pack under my main pack. The hose and bag are sturdy, and the plastic opening is large enough to fill without spilling. I expect to be using this for a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Buy, August 17, 2011
By Hunter AG
I got this water bladder today. First thing I wanted to do is test all the little issues people said on reviews. The lid: filled with hot and cold water squeezed, no leaks. The mouth piece: Again filled with hot and cold water and gave it a squeeze, no leaks. The hose insulation: I moved it to the mouth piece, the short side will sit inside your pack, no problem. Bite valve: I filled the bladder with hot and cold water and gave it squeeze, no leaks. Now the bite valve has a shutoff valve as well with no leaks. I don't have the filter for refill, so I couldn't test that.
My summary:
The bladder is a excellent product and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. The plasic seams to be military grade, and I will have years of use out of it. The lid is more than big enough to put ice inside of it. The handle on lid is thick and sturdy. The mounting holes will work fine for camelback packs, and the handle can be used for the single mount velcro style. Then there is the price, worth more than I payed $6.99+shipping. I would pay $16 for it. Thanks Amazon!!! I found these also on eBay and they are asking $20+shipping:[...]

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good but o ring too big., July 5, 2011
By Chris Leedham (Henderson, NV USA)
Holds a lot of water but the screw cap sometimes leaks a little because the o ring is too big. Otherwise a good product at a great price.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Go with the Camelbak, June 15, 2011
By 30-Something from the City (Baltimore, MD)
I have not had any issues with leaking, and the materials all seem to be great quality.

However, there is a 'standard' size that Camelbak and others use in terms of the hose and drinking valve. I bought a Katadyn water filter that includes a hydration pack adapter to make for quick refilling without having to pull the pack out, unscrew the cap, and stuff it back in the bag. Alas, it does not fit this bladder.

No complaints other than it is a non-standard size. I would suggest spending the extra $2 on the brand-name packs.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Replacement Bladder, Best Price Around, May 22, 2011
By Jim
All of the seals and parts appear to be top-notch. No leakage at all, even crammed into our fully loaded packs with gear pressing up against them. I was a little hesitant about trying these out since the price is 1/3 of what REI charges for a similar hydro bladder but after trying out 2 on my last camping trip, I highly recommend. In fact I will be ordering 2 more just to have as spares.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Affie H2O, May 9, 2010
By my miki (USA)
Not happy with this, it does not have a cape to cover and the leak is pathetic since I use it for my dogs mostly.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Replacement bladder 84 oz, January 11, 2012
By U.S. Army Ret. (Newberry Springs, Ca)
This is your basic low cost replacement bladder. Works well with my vest as it already has it's own bladder pocket. Have to be gentle with the lid as it is made of rather thin plastic. The bladder material is also very thin and could be easily torn by any sharp object. The hose is fine with sheathing most of the length. The valve is quite basic but seems to work well. I feel that this bladder would be best suited for a rig that has it's own bladder pocket where it can be kept safe from sharp objects. This wouldn't be the kind of bladder I would just throw in my rucksack with the rest of my gear. However, it does fufill the need of an inexspensive, leak free, replacement. Just not top quality, you know how they say "you get what you pay for", it's true, but this does work well for the occasional user with a budget.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Its alright, November 17, 2011

for the price it does OK. You have to make sure you tighten the top correctly or you will be dripping water.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Bad Taste, Cheap Product, September 23, 2011
By C. Anderson (Illinois)
I ordered two of these. One for both me and my wife, unfortunately one was broken at the mouthpiece upon delivery. This alone wont make for a bad product, but all together this thing sucks. Using the non-broken one will often end up with the mouthpiece being pulled off when you go to drink from it because of the way its designed. This too would be forgivable if it werent for the horrible taste given by drinking from this resevoir. I thoroughly cleaned it with soap and water, then meticulously made sure it was bone dry. still, after several uses, the taste remains. It tastes like the cheap rubber that its made of. Do yourself a huge favor, and spend 10 extra dollars to get a resevoir thats decent. You wont want to drink from this one anyways!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE, September 23, 2011
By SPARTECUS
BOUGHT TWO OF THE WATER BLADDERS, ONE FOR ME AND ONE FOR MY WIFE. BOTH ARRIVED VERY QUICKLY AND APPEAR TO BE NICE QUALITY, ESPECIALLY FOR THE MONEY. FOUND ONE HAD A SMALL PIN HOLE WHICH LEAKED, LOOKED LIKE IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A FACTORY DEFECT. NOTED THIS TO THE SELLER AND WAS SENT A REPLACEMENT IMMEDIATLY. OVERALL AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE PURCHASE AND WOULD RECOMMEND.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Returning the item - leaks air and can't get a good gulp of water, September 19, 2011
By JT
This bladder pack is cheap. When I adjust the valve on the mouthpiece, it either leaks air and doesn't create a vacuum to get water, or the water doesn't come out. I'm returning it.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  It's worth the price!, September 15, 2011
By P. Lai
My husband and I bought two for our first wildness hiking. It costed us roughly $7 each. It's totally worth the price! BTW, the plastic smell of the new product can be removed by leaving tea bags in overnight.
