4.0 out of 5 stars.  Bag Balm, April 13, 2010
By P. Cooper (Centerville, MA United States)
This product has been around just about forever. I first became aware of is while working in a nursing home where it was used to moisturize and protect the skin of seniors who were largely immobile and prone to bed sores.
This has proven itself to be a reliable product to alleviate dryness, repair chapped skin and promote healing.
It's a good product that should be in every medicine cabinet.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Too small for the money!, November 10, 2007
By A. Dormer (usa)
Imagine my surprise when a TINY one inch or so square green tin shows up in a big box in my mailbox!! I obviously didn't read closely enough in the item description that it is 1 oz, so I was expecting the usual 10 oz tin to show up.

Don't waste your money buying this super small tin of bag balm - shipping was about half of the almost $10 I spent to have this delivered. What a waste! I went through it so quickly. Thankfully, I found a big 10 oz tin of it at Walgreens for only $7.50!

This is one of the best products that I've found to use on my lips during the cold winter months! I never leave home without it.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  The best diaper rash ointment!!!, May 7, 2011
By Disappointed
I had several people tell me to use this for a diaper rash cream for my baby after she had bad rash from milk allergies as a newborn. I had tried all of the other ointments for diaper rash and nothing got rid of it. I bought this at a fabric store and tried it on her after her pediatrician said it wouldn't hurt her. FREAKING AMAZING!!!! is all I can say. Her diaper rash was gone by the next diaper change. I have used it for every rash, chaping, chaffing, etc. I have even used it on my dry skin. It is a miracle cream. i have told EVERYONE about it. it relieves diaper rash and eczema instantly. Walmart and joanne's fabric used to carry it but it has become harder and harder to find so now I have to resort to buying it online and I am stocking up!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  world's best chapstick, January 16, 2011
By MD
It's my favorite chapstick and it also never gets flagged by airport security as a "liquid" (although I think pastes are supposed to be), so that leaves more room in my 1-quart 'allowable liquids' plastic bag. You could use it as lotion in a pinch (although it's quite heavy for that I think).

5.0 out of 5 stars.  good salve, September 14, 2010

a nice size to carry on a trip. Use large size at least twice a week to keep my heels soft.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Perfect moisturizer for the worst skin., March 9, 2010
By BigLittleTim (Boston, MA United States)
The moisturizer of last resort... when NOTHING else works, "Bag Balm" heals the driest and most cracked skin. Great on dry knuckles, elbows, heels, etc.

This is great stuff. Worth the money spent. I didn't need a lot and this fit the bill. I recommend this for anyone with the various skin problems our lives bring upon us.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Portable size miracle cure!, January 18, 2009
By J. Arena (Williamsburg, VA)
I can't recommend this stuff highly enough! In winter, I can develop patches of skin so dry that I find myself raking it with my nails almost to the point of drawing blood. The irritation is maddening.

THIS is the product, more than any other moisturizer I've used, that brings almost instant relief to those irritations. It's great for your hands if they've been exposed to extreme cold or you've spent way too much time in water using cleaning products. Massage it into your cuticles at night for wonderful results.

Don't expect a perfumey scent. It's just a touch medicinal, but that's a very small trade-off for something this good. You really wouldn't want to put any flowery scent on top of what amounts to wounded skin!

If you've ever experienced that much discomfort, Bag Balm is the most amazing cure you'll experience without a perscription. I can't imagine anything better at any price.

By A Resident (Lee, MA USA)
I was surprised when it arrived. VERY SMALL. Guess I could have figured that out from the 1 oz size.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Bag Balm = Vaseline?, July 30, 2008
By Karim Bayaa
I got this and it reminded (and smelled just like) me of the smaller vaseline containers that we use to buy. It also didnt seem to help my cuts or sweat pimples on my upper chest more than anything else would (and expensive for a 1 ounce..) =)
