2.0 out of 5 stars.  Not good for a toddler, September 24, 2009
By Larisa Nieto
I bought this helmet thinking it would be good for my 22 month old toddle since it does say toddler bicycle helmet. It was too big and it just kept covering her eyes that finally she got irritated and now doesn't want to wear a helmet (not good) This helmet is more for a 3year old or even older..it shouldnt be advertise as a toddler should say "child helmet".

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Potential life-saver, March 1, 2010
By Quality pays (Snowed Under, MN USA)
This helmet was first purchased for my 3 yr old son last year. On the first day he went over the handlbars of his new bike in the driveway, leaving a nasty scratch right where his little forehead would have been. But I am compelled to write this review today because of what happened in my workshop.

He was playing "construction worker" with his Bell "Shadow" toddler helmet on. I did not notice him tipping a 4 foot by 8 foot playhouse wall frame (made from very heavy treated lumber) over, that I had irresponsibly left leaning against a wall. I turned and saw him trying to get out of the way but the top (horizontal) 2x4 landed on his head, that was sandwiched between the cement floor and the frame. The helmet has cracked plastic on the right front side and the interior styrofoam is cracked to the opposite side at the back. He is fine and I feel like the luckiest person alive today.

I realize this is not what the helmet is intended for, but as a parent I hope to show how well made these things are. My biggest advice would be make sure it fits snugly. I also agree that this helmet is for at least 3 year olds, probably 4 year olds. We are going into town tomorrow to get another one and the kids are not allowed in the workshop again.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Toddler over 3 years, June 24, 2009
By SHS (Denver, CO)
It is a very cute helmet, good price, just too big for a 2 year old. I didn't realize that when I ordered it, but it does say on the tag that it is for 3+ years.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Good value, October 15, 2009
By B. Inman
The color is much lighter and a pale lavendar. Very cute and my daughter loves it. A little too big for an 18 month old, tightens up good though. Much cheaper than in the stores.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good, but big, April 15, 2011

This is a good helmet, but definitely too big for a toddler. It's too big for our 3 yr but fits our 5 yr.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Box says 3+, November 28, 2010
By Jess in NY (Long Island, NY)
I guess I missed reading the last review that said it was too big for a 22mo baby. I purchased this as a gift for my 13mo niece and it came down in the front all the way to her mouth. DEF not for toddlers, but more for children. I will get a different one instead.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  ByckMom, September 7, 2010
By Rees (Fairfax, VA)
This helmet came in a slightly diffrent color then what I expected . It is lavendar and pink. I was hoping it was a darker shade of purple and orange so that my son could also use it .Other then that it is a bit big for my 2 year old , but will be good for when she is 3-4 years and we wont need to buy another . The one thing I would change about this helmet are the straps, they are not made from the best material and should be a bit thicker (that is why I am giving it 4 rather than 5).

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Toddler Helmet, August 25, 2010
By Andrea LL
It is not made very well, but it works with some adjusting and glueing the design back on. Funny... I order two of the same and they arrived similar but with a different stripe and falling off. Like I said... they work.. but don't spend more than 12$ for them. That is what I paid and that is what they are worth.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good helmet; daughter loves it, August 20, 2010
By Katie (DFW, TX United States)
We purchased this for our 3 year old; it may have been a touch too big then but we were able to get it tight enough by adjusting the straps. Fits even better now at 3.5 years old. I think this was her favorite Christmas gift, even more so than the glider we got to go with it! She wouldn't even take it off for her nap on Christmas day! Cute butterfly design and good product. She willingly puts it on to go out on her trike or glider.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Perfect fit!, July 21, 2010
By MissMommy
I've been searching for a toddler helmet and was surprised that they are so difficult to find. So when I found this one, I read the reviews and felt confident in purchasing it for my 3 year old daughter. It was delivered today (on time) and fits perfectly and she adores it. :)

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good for the price, March 23, 2010
By J. Mar
Got this for my 3 year old. Very basic helmet. A bit big for her lil' head. Unfortunately didn't come with additional cushion stickers to make the helmet fit better. It will be a perfect fit in about 6 months, when she gets bigger/older. She loves purple and butterflies, so two thumbs up for colors.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  It`s on the bigger side, but very cute and safe-looking, March 4, 2010
By nodsu
I read the reviews earlier, so i knew it would be a lil big for my almost 2yo DD, but it`s ok, she`ll grow into it and the straps are adjustable, so you can make it smaller to fit little kids too (it just may limit their view :D)- but we`re gonna get good use out of it for a few years now :)
