Necessary For World/Extended Travel, June 8, 2009

The ExOfficio Boxer Brief is the best underwear out there. Period.
Get over the price-scare - yes, $25 is a lot of money for underwear, but they're well worth it.
Fits well, reduces chafing, wicks sweat, fights odor.
You can live on two pairs of these - wash one at night, wear the other. Wrap it in a towel, stomp dry - should be ready in a few hours.
I purchased a medium and a small. I'm 5'7" tall, 30" waist, and the small is a better fit.

Great for performance as well..., April 13, 2009

I wore a pair of these on a 3-day backpacking trip on the Alabama Pinhoti Trail. They kept me pleasantly cool, dry, & odor-free...plus they prevented chafing perfectly (I'm a 5'9"/190lbs man, so I have a little more fat on my inner thigh than I wish I had).
I would highly recommend these boxer briefs.

My daily wear boxers, June 7, 2009
By Michael H. Clark (Houston, TX United States)
|
|
I travel the world and these are perfect. Multi-day wear if necessary or they wash and dry quickly - overnight at the longest. I carry about 4 pair for multi-week trips.
I was skeptical at first but after trying them on the road, these are much more comfortable than any cotton underwear I ever wore. Really a great fabric. And they seem to last forever.
I now own about 10 pair or so for daily wear.

I don't get it., February 16, 2010
By Anaheim Shaolin (Anaheim, CA)
|

I bought two pairs of these boxes because of the moisture wickening. I began sweating a lot in my upper thighs and crotch as I got older. Also, like most men as they get older I get an occasional drop of urine after I pee. I also workout daily, I'm absolute gym rat. I have read all your reviews and I simply don't get it. I experienced none of the wickening and felt damp all day. I'll take my regular Hanes cotton boxers and boxer briefs any day of the week over these. A waste of money unless I'm missing something.

Still reading?, April 27, 2011
By JH (Westwood, MA)

First of all, I congratulate you for reading underwear reviews. Clearly you're searching for the best--not necessarily the best in underwear--but you may have searched for the best in safari, tropical, or travel clothes.
Like me, you're saying: Really? A pair of underwear got 56 people to log in, type up a word or two, and give 5-stars to A PAIR OF UNDERWEAR! Either ExOfficio spends way too much on a secondary product's social media or the Men's Give-N-Go(tm) Boxer Brief is the best pair of underwear ever!
Hard to believe, but it's probably the latter. Most reviews say that this underwear is great for a month's trek through wherever. It probably is and I wish I had this underwear when I roamed. I'll add this to those extreme scenarios:Any day that you wear this underwear, it delivers everything promised in adventure-wear. It's Teflon. It's cool, dry, and forgotten: all day meetings; sales meetings; presentations to your boss's boss--you won't think about what's under your suit.

The Best Activity Boxer in this Price Range!, September 1, 2010
By Still shooting with Film! (Farmington Hills, MI USA)
|
|
I am an underwear fanatic. For me its the most important item of clothing period when speaking about overall comfort. An uncomfortable pair of boxers can make even the most comfortable outfits unbearable. I have tried boxers from pretty much every manufacturer that exists and Ex Officio's Give'N'Go boxer is at the top of the list for the 25 dollar price range. I have read a lot of the reviews on Amazon and the people that say these are the best boxers on the market simply dont know what they are talking about. I dont know if they just aren't very good at judging underwear or if its that they simply haven't tried the better brands that exist. Either way there are better boxers out there, its just going to cost you more money to get them. For example, Cloudveil's boxers are not only more comfortable, they are also far better at wicking away moisture. With that being said they are also 60.00 a pair. Hanro of Switzerland is another brand that is superior to Ex Officio and there are others as well. So again dont listen to those trying to make these boxers out to be the greatest thing since sliced bread because there are better boxers out there. Again its just going to cost you more money to get them.
It may seem like I am giving these a negative review but I am not. These are outstanding boxers and I gave them 5 stars. They are extremely comfortable and the wicking properties are decent. If your a really heavy sweater than you might be a bit disappointed in regards to the wicking properties and you might want to think about investing in some of those higher quality brands. I wear the Ex Officio if I am going to be doing light to moderate activities. They are perfect for traveling. If I am going to be doing more strenuous activities like working out or skiing then I definitely reach for my higher quality boxers like the Cloudveil.
Bottom line - While these are not the best boxers out there as some have suggested, they are one of the best boxers out there in the 25.00 dollar price range. They have a nice fit, are extremely comfortable and have decent wicking properties. If your looking for the most bang for your buck then you should definitely try a pair of these. Odds are you will wind up buying more! If your new to Ex Offico then I highly recommend checking out their entire line of clothing. They are easily one of my favorite clothing companies. Their Insect repellent clothing...now that might be the greatest thing since sliced bread!!
Highly recommended!

Excellent briefs, September 3, 2009
By shop girl (Sacramento, CA USA)
|
|
I bought 6 of these for my husband, because the one we'd purchased locally prior to that had quickly become his favorite pair of everyday briefs. Now, he has one for each day of the week, and although they're not cheap, I think they're worth their weight in gold. So far, after several months of wear, they show no signs of degradation, and my husband says they're the most comfortable underwear he's ever had. He also wears them when he works out at the gym and loves their wicking ability. My teenage son is now requesting some, too, so I'll be placing another order soon.

uncomfortable, drying ability substandard, November 4, 2010
By Troy Parsons
|
|
I bought these on the promises made by the product.
First off, they don't dry nearly as quickly as you'd expect. I have plenty of quick-dry outdoor gear, and under sub-optimal conditions, these things can stay wet for two days easily, while my other gear fares better (MSR Packlite towel, MEC undies - see below). Your body-heat will help dry them, if you choose to wear them damp, however. In dry and warm conditions, they will dry fine, but so will my American Apparel jocks, big deal.
Secondly, they are pretty uncomfortable. The seam is right across the ass cheek, making long jeep rides, kayaking, cycling, a right pain in the ass!
Size wise, these run large. Get a size smaller than you would normally.
My recommendation is the MEC quick drying underpants. So if you're in (or going by) Canada, hit the MEC. They dry quickly (actually - far quicker than Exoficio), are far more comfortable, are smaller and lighter. Neither of them are sexy or fashionable, so it's a draw there :)

I am 6' 160lbs with about a 31" waist. I ordered a medium but it seems kind of big. I ordered a small and will see how that fits compared to a medium. the medium is listed as 32-24" and small at 28-30"..... what about a 30-32" waist?!

Can't Go Without ExOfficio - Updated, June 20, 2010
By R. Richardson (illinois)
|
|
i bought 2 pair of these underwear after reading the excellent reviews.
i needed something for extended walks/bike rides (8-10 miles) to help prevent chafing and to keep me comfortable and dry. these definately do the trick. cotton briefs were making my walks miserable and to the point of being unbearable.
at first, looking at the $25 price tag for a pair of underwear, i was almost to the point of trying to live with the discomfort. thank goodness i went ahead and purchased these. it is unbelievable how much of a difference these make for my walks. btw.. i now walk/ride 10-12 miles at a time with no discomfort at all.
care for this item is almost too simple. i wash mine in the bathroom sink with a very small amount of detergent and hang dry for a few hours and they are ready to go again.
my advice - buy you a pair and you will not regret the price one bit.
UPDATE - after owning these garments for 5 months and after a good test run in the extreme heat and alot of hand washings, i recommend these underwear even more. they have held up great and the comfort is excellent. i initially bought 2 pair because of the price scare. i see them at $17.98(size large/ocean color) each with free shipping. keep an eye on the price as it fluctuates often. i am ordering 3 more pair today.

Worth the money, August 13, 2009
By E. Thornquist (Moscow)
|
|
The price seems steep. But it's worth it.
For once a product description fits. Wash 'em, roll 'em up in a towel, squeeze the towel a bit,
then hang 'em to dry for three hours. Considering my place has no washer / drier, the quick dry-ness
of the ExOfficio briefs is a lifesaver.
And they are the most comfortable pairs of underwear I have ever owned. Bought four for traveling
and threw out the old cotton boxers. They weigh as much as a handkerchief.

Sometimes I forget that I'm wearing these!, July 17, 2009
By D. Tran
|
|
They are light, comfortable, and like its been mentioned, they dry very quickly. These keep me relatively dry and fresh all day long (some things can't be helped by just a pair of underwear, no matter how good) even if I've been doing intense physical activity. They're also so comfortable that you sometimes can't tell you're wearing them. At first I couldn't bring myself to spend $20+ dollars on a pair of underwear, but once you wear a pair for a day, you'll understand and never want to wear cotton boxer briefs again.
To this date (going on June 2010) I still don't wear my cotton boxer briefs anymore! I wear my regular boxers, but with the ExOfficios, there's no more chafing. I tried wearing cotton boxers again... just uncomfortable.

I Never Imagined Myself ..., February 8, 2010
By Giordano Bruno (Wherever I am, I am.)
|
|
... writing a review of my underwear! But Valentine's Day came a little early this year, for practical reasons, and I'm saying an oblique "thank you."
These are without doubt the most comfortable briefs or boxers I've ever worn. And they wash out and dry just as quickly as other reviewers have already declared. I may even go and buy a few pairs for myself. However, the prices here on the Big River, from all the suppliers, are double or more what they cost at Sports Basement.

Super quick drying. Feel great against the skin., February 7, 2009

Yep, these actually do dry very quickly. Probably only 2 or 3 hours max to dry. Also, these things feel great. They're way more comfortable than my usual cotton Hanes underwear. I might even switch to using these daily.

Money well spent, February 10, 2010
By T. Yehl (Florida)
|
|
Purchased a few of these last year for a two-week motorcycle trip. These aren't cheap but cost nearly half as much as a similar product marketed specifically towards motorcyclists. They feel great, pack light, can withstand multiple days use between washing, and dry very quickly. Wearing these I've also survived two three-day trips to Walt Disney World with zero chafing.
I've just ordered enough so that I'll never have to wear cotton underwear again. Worth every penny.

Unmentionably Excellent..., March 30, 2011
By R. F. Harrison (Honolulu, HI)
|
|
As cyclist who does not wear cycling shorts I've been searching for underwear that protects against chafing and stays comfortable mile after mile. I've been wearing box briefs for some time but generally made from cotton. These have fulfilled my first criteria but after a few dozen miles in the Hawaiian sun start to fall short on the second. I've had to carry a spare pair to replace the first pair once they get soaked.
I just received my Ex Officio boxer briefs and immediately went for a ride. They more than do the job when it comes to preventing chafing. I'm a big guy and the XXL size fits perfectly on my 42+ waist. The length of leg is great, a bit longer than what I'd been wearing which is great. This morning I spent an hour in the gym which generally soaks my underwear, my shorts, and everything else I wear. While I did bring a change of underwear (as usual) I was amazed at how dry these boxer briefs were at the end of my workout. My gym shorts were soaked, my shirt was soaked, my hair was soaked, and my Ex Officios were at best damp. By the time I'd finished showering I could probably have worn them again in comfort - this bodes well for all day biking sessions.
I can't say anything about their durability as I've only just received my order but on inspection they seem well made and the fit is great. I don't feel any seams when on my bike which is a big plus (and the reason many folks wear bike shorts I suspect).
I'll be riding across Iowa this summer and I think a couple of pair of these (and an extra just in case) are probably going to work just fine.
I'm seriously thinking of ordering 4 more while they are on sale (currently $18.75).
Aloha

A Traveler's Dream, January 5, 2011
By nateowens4

Couldn't believe the amount of reviews. This is single handedly has the most reviews of any men's underwear ever. People are coming out of the wood work to review. So I Tried them out. After six months here are my thoughts.
I am on the road about 45 weeks out of the year. Surfing, sailing, climbing, consulting.. and so on.. I have four pairs and these get me by quite nicely. They wash up great. Pack small. I wash a pair in the shower, pop on a fresh pair and repeat the procedure for the year. I've tried other techie-under-garments like under armor and helly hansen and find these to be the best. No need for more than a few pairs as they are so easy to wash. Black is the best color for a long lasting color and class. White could get dirty. Blue has a funny looking elastic band. My size 32 waist fits nicely in size small.
Tossed or donated all my old stuff.
Other good travel products include Columbia Mountain Tech short sleeve tees for undershirts. Columbia silver ridge long sleeve shirts. IceBreaker merino wool socks.
A great review: [...]
Cheers.

Streches out a little bit, August 24, 2010
By xaminmo (Highland Village, TX)
|
|
These are pretty good. They're definitely better than Fruit of the Loom brand boxer-briefs. There's a little bit more pouch in the front of these, which helps support everything while moving around.
They breathe well and feel well ventilated and cool, even at the end of the day.
Unfortunately, the elastic/lycra/spandex/whatever content is low enough that these will stretch out throughout the day. Support and fit decrease, and waistband rolls up by the end of the day.
Overall, I rate these 4 of 5 stars.
X-Bionic brand hold their shape better throughout the day, but don't cool as well as these.

Extremely Comfortable!, April 10, 2010
By terrance (Yorktown, VA)

|
I have been wearing Calvin Klein boxer briefs for quite some time and although comfortable, decided it was time to try something different. Looking at numerous brands wherever I could, I accidentally stumbled on this brand and the ExOfficio company surfing Amazon. So after doing a little research and reading some very strong positive reviews, I decided to try a couple pair and see for myself. They are honestly the most comfortable pair on boxers I have ever worn. They are very lightweight and yet very supportive at the same time. Although they are a little more expensive than the "average" pair of briefs, I certainly think they are worth the extra cost. I highly recommend these and can't wait to try other types of products from this company!

These are amazing underwear. Started with one pair and after about two weeks ordered 6 more. A little pricey, but amazingly comfortable, and don't get stretched out during the course of the day. I highly recommend these to anyone for everyday wear, and if you are the adventurous outdoorsy type then you should definitely own a pair or two of these. Seems odd to get so excited about underwear, but what can I say, these are amazing!

Expensive But Better Than Competition, February 3, 2010

Expensive. Yes. Worth it... yes.
I bought these and similar competing products that cost less. These are perfect, fit great, and down "roll up" or "roll down" like the competition does. I haven't tried washing these in a sink while traveling, but in terms of comfy, high quality briefs to no bag up like tradition boxers, I think these are great.

The Most Effective Brief, September 12, 2009
By A. Mok (NJ)
|
|
I bought this brief to wick away moisture and maximize breathability, it proves its effectiveness at first use.
During the summer months where temperature and humidity are at peak, this brief will eliminate heat build up with its increased surface area which acts like a heat sink.
The results are 100% dryness, no clammy feel and gives off a cooling effect.
I recommend this to everybody.

Really great underwear, August 5, 2009
By Shawn
|
|
I initially didn't want to pay these kind of prices for a pair of briefs, but after biting the bullet and travelling with a couple pairs of ExOfficio Boxer Briefs, I'm a believer. They really do make a difference compared to cotton or even some other "breathable" briefs I've used. They are cool, comfortable, and easy to move in. And really, there's no comparison for ease of washing and drying if you want to travel light. These things will dry in a matter of hours, rather than days. Highly recommended, now I just have to figure out how to afford replacing my other briefs with more of these...

I'm a believer, March 21, 2011
By J. Hogenesch (Philadelphia, PA)

After reading all the glowing reviews, I bought a pair. They are fantastic. They offer support, don't ride up or down, allow for great airflow, and are easy to wash. Basically, I wash them in the sink with a little soap, roll them up in a towel, step on them, and they are good to go the next morning or sooner. The only annoyance, which is minor, is the tag at the back - I cut it off as it was bugging me.
I bought a bunch more pair, and will get rid of my old stock.
Yes, there are a lot of money, but if they wear like their reputation, it will be money well spent.

Best Boxer Briefs for the money, hands down, December 6, 2010
By jrjohnson
|
|
I recently purchased several different brands of boxer briefs in search of finally finding a pair that not only felt great to wear, but would last over time. After wearing a pair of ExOfficio over the last few months, I can say with certainty that they are the best value in boxer briefs. They are amazingly comfortable, and handle several washes without any signs of wear. ***It is important to note that you should air dry these kinds of shorts, which takes no time at all. The runner up to the ExOfficios was a pair from Hanro which were about equally amazing. The Hanros had a shorter leg, which I did not prefer. The Hanro's style and comfort are top notch, however at $70 per pair they are hardly a bargain. BTW, some brands to avoid... Munsingwear, Calvin, Tommy...

they breathe very well, prevent rashes, and overall just treat your junk super nicely. they also don't lose their stretch (and therefore look stupid) over time.
i highly recommend for sports or daily wear.

Comfort, Comfort, Comfort, August 20, 2010
By jpn

I've purchased the ExOfficio Boxer and Boxer Briefs. They are both extremely comfortable. Ditto on all the other positive reviews. I've notice some comparison between the material and comfort of this brand vs. the Under Armor brand. Frankly, I'm a big fan of the UA tees and the entire range of products. But I like the Exofficio boxer and boxer briefs much better. The boxer are about 1-2 inches longer and better made. I like the extra length. The UA is only 4 inches in the inseam - too short and nerdy. The boxer brief is not as tight around my body as UA. In both cased, the elastic waist band is also more comfortable - doesn't pull as much. You can't go wrong with UA - but ExOfficio is the best. I've since purchased several more of Boxer shorts and Boxer Briefs. I also like their Tees. It's all pricy, but well worth it. You'll love them too.

These are excellent fitting boxer briefs. They manage to stay dry and comfortable in heavy activity. Great for travel--you can wash them and they dry in a couple of hours.

best undergarment for travel, March 14, 2010
By goaliemom (Pittsburgh, PA)
|
|
This item was purchased for my son who was traveling to another country. He thanked me so much upon his return. He was with a group that was camping for several weeks and said this boxer brief was the most comfortable to wear, the most convenient to launder and quickest to dry. I then purchased one for another son who travels; he agrees. Considering their positive comments of this product, I would say this is by far the best undergarment you could purchase for travelers. They are wearing them on a daily basis now as well - one to wear, one to launder.

i just bought two pairs of these underwear and they feel really nice....true to size, comfortable, good fabrics BUT i am very disappointed that i hand-washed them and hung them out in my bathroom in the night and the next morning they were still WET.....i bought them mainly because of this feature....so if u are looking for something really quick drying DO NOT buy these bottoms

Gotta hate synthetic..., April 7, 2011
By DAMIS (North New Jersey)

|
I really don't understand the whole "odor-shield" thing with some products nowadays. They never last! That's a fact! I don't know, maybe I'm just a smelly guy or something, but these things smell even after washing them. I hand wash all my clothes and these are the easiest to wash and I still find that even when all my other stuff smells good these sometimes smell ripe. I know synthetics absorb smells really easy, but come on! These are tauted for being amazing to wear day after day. I bought two to interchange after wearing one for 3 days or so. I find that the legs ride up as well and sometimes they tug on my leg hairs which is annoying. I still like the product for it's quick drying and thin, lightweight material. But I may look into some Icebreaker underwear next time around.

Poor Material, March 13, 2011
By That Guy

I bought five pairs of these to start replacing another brand that I've worn for a decade. In the first week, I wore two and washed them...both had serious piling of the material. I didn't expect such low quality material from Ex Officio but they are "Made in China"...you get what you pay for.

Men's Giver-N-Go won't stay up, March 10, 2011
By TomC
|
|
These boxer briefs are made of Nice material, but they are useless to me after only a few times wearing them because the elastic waist band is no good and lost it's elasticity and then the darn floppy things are always sliding down inside my trousers. No, they were not machine washed in hot water...I only hand washed and rinsed them in warm water while showering. And they don't dry near as quickly as my cotton shorts do.

Pretty darn good, August 5, 2010

Used these on the trail and they work as advertised. These are pretty darn comfortable. They are on par with the un&er @rmour and a sm@rt w0ol boxers out there. However, if you are looking for the MOST comfortable I'd say the p@tagonia's are still a better pair of boxer briefs... of course they're twice as expensive so I guess that makes sense.

$25, yes it's actually wroth it, June 29, 2011
By Lee

There is no way I would have ever paid this much for underwear, until a business trip got extended and in a pinch I bought these by accident at a store near the hotel. Figured I got ripped off, but at least I had clothes. Turns out it was a great accident.
These are easily the best underwear ever created. Comfort is great, and no matter what your level if activity is they keep you dry.
Once I discovered how good these were, I started saving my one pair for hiking trips, or days when I would be in town driving around all day in the heat. They are fantastic for everyday use also.
If I could afford it this would be my 7 day a week choice.

Excellent Comfort, June 28, 2011
By Alex Raz
|
|
These are fantastically comfortable and feel almost like wearing nothing. They are very airy and great for lounging around on hot summer days.
I wear these at work in an unairconditioned warehouse doing physical labor (walking and squating in 90+ temps with high humidity). However, the material is very slippery which makes my pants continually slide down as I move about, regardless of how painfully tight my belt is. The 3" inseam is also just too short and tends to roll up with a lot of movement.
Unfortunately, these are just not as good as Underarmor's "O" series which I now prefer. To be fair, I actually bought the give'n'go first because nylon doesn't block body heat like polyester...however I had to look elsewhere when the give'n'go just weren't cutting it. The "O" series is slightly less comfortable, but far more functional.
To save money, I only have a few pairs of either that I wash in the sink after work and wear again the next day (I do the same when I travel and go camping.) I haven't noticed any difference between the drying time, durability, or packing size between the two.

Perfect but pricey, June 26, 2011
By Justin Hilliker

These are perfect for hot weather. They are very breathable, quick drying, great fitting, but also expensive. As great as they are, if I did it over again, I would not have bought them, just because they are so expensive. Try to find a good deal on them somewhere else.

worth the money, June 12, 2011
By Dan Butcher (Hoover, AL)
|
|
Bought these for a 10-day trip to UK--everything had to fit in a carry-on. These live up to the product claims: comfortable, easy to clean, dry overnight.
Only problem I had is that they were starting to wear on the inner thighs. The fabric is a mesh, so it's not a tight weave. The constant friction from walking all day produced visible wear (and I rotated these briefs with 2 other pairs of somewhat cheaper "performance briefs" from another manufacturer). I'm a big guy, so there's more friction for me than there would be for a smaller guy, but still--I'm not sure how these would hold up long term.
Even with that issue, I don't regret buying them and would buy them again for a trip like this.

Great underwear, June 10, 2011
By Isaac B (USA)
|
|
First off, let me start by saying I'm not an Ex Officio guy. I got into this underwear by chance, when I got a gift card to Ex Officio and had no idea what to use it on. I ended up purchasing several pairs (in black), and liked them so much, I went to Amazon to get more. These are great for warmer weather, they keep everything fresh and airy, and also hold up very well in exercise.
Edit: Also, keep in mind that the boxers I received were the updated design, not the old design as shown in these photos. It's the design with the Ex Officio waist band and logo on left leg - the one you see on their website.

Only underwear to make me say "WOW", June 7, 2011
By Justin Wu (Miami)
|
|
I never thought that I'd be excited about underwear. I am embarking on an adventure overseas and I need to save space and pack light. I have a thing about always wearing clean underwear but I didn't want to pack 14 pairs of cotton boxer briefs. I ordered 4 pairs of these Ex Officios and they are comfortable and stylish! I got the black ones in small. They look the best in my opinion. Very comfortable to wear with good support. I'm gonna try hand washing them later and seeing how long they take to dry. So far so good!

best underware hands down., May 27, 2011
By fatboyjoe

I ordered a few pair to try about a month ago. very happy with the fit and the breathability of these underware. yesterday i received my second batch, i have like 10 pair now. I threw away all my cotton hanes boxer breifs. they are junk compaired to these. I ordered a size smaller than i usually take. i ordered med. instead of large like others had mentioned. the med. really holds everything in place especially when working out. i'm 200lbs with a 36 waist and they fit perfect. i first purchased for working out but now i wear them everyday as my primary underware. also, i got mine for like $15.00 on sale. that's a great price for great underware.

If you're into comfort ....., May 23, 2011
By Chase Leon (United States)
|
|
....then these are the bloomers for you.
There may never be a perfect pair of "sport" underwear to suit all men, but, this style from ExOfficio comes awfully close. First off, they don't 'ride up' or bind nowhere as bad as other expensive underwear. They are extremely comfortable even as they gently cup and support your jewels. (and this "cupping" sure looks great when you wear jeans) After a couple of washings, they even seem to mold to the shape of your junk AND your trunk for a custom fit. I have tried many different styles and brands of sport underwear in the past, but these are definitely head and shoulders above the rest . . . or should I say balls and buns above the rest ?
Try a pair for yourself and you'll soon experience what I'm talking about.

Great item for packing light while traveling/camping. 2-3 pairs of these are good for 5 or 6 day trip because they wash out easily, dry quickly, and take up very little room in a bag.
Very light weight and comfortable to wear. They breath well and I stay cool in them all day long. Also great for wearing under unlined swimming trunks, as they dry very quickly once out of the water.

Great for vacation trips too!!, May 13, 2011
By RunJorel (Dallas, TX)
|
|
My wife and I visited Rome, Paris, and London within a two week period. This was my second trip to Europe and during my first trip I packed a lot of cotton clothes and learned a hard lesson when I tried to do laundry myself. In case you don't know, that hard lesson was that none of my cotton clothes dried completely over night. Some smaller people don't have issues drying their cotton clothes over night, but the larger your clothes are the more time it takes to dry.
So, this trip I decided once again that I would do my own laundry to save on laundry costs while travelling. I bought 3 pair of this underwear and I have to say that even though it was expensive, it was one of the best purchases I made for the trip. I read reviews of people only needing 1 to 2 pair (wear one, wash one each day) but I took a more conservative approach and packed 3 pair of these as well as 3 pair of cotton. However the only underwear I used the WHOLE TRIP were just 2 pair of these and just did a washing every night. Truthfully, you could get away with owning 1 pair and just washing it every night. I found that that they dried within about 3-4 hours of me hanging them up.
As far as comfort goes, at first I didn't like how they hugged me kind of tight because I am used to boxer briefs. But after I broke them in so to speak I loved it. In fact it was hard for me go back to cotton after this. Regardless, they are comfortable and will also protect you from chaffing if you will be doing a lot of walking.
Some reviewers of the underwear have said that the quality of this underwear has gone down. Seeing as how I have never owned a pair previous to this, I dont know what they are talking about. They may be legit, but in my experience these were very good quality and I can see them lasting a long time. The fact that they never stretched out, dried quickly, and never retained that 'I just washed my clothes on my own' smell despite them going through about 8 days of washing (16 days on 2 pair), being wrung out and twisted each night, and then air dried proves to me that they are very good quality.

Underwear, April 23, 2011
By John Zion
|
|
The underwear fits like a charm and is very well made. I haven't worn and washed it out every day as it is designed for, but I do use it in regular rotation. But in the future I will take it with me when I do go away. It is long like Bike shorts but it fits great. I prefer their regular briefs though as these are a little longer then I'd prefer. Highly recommend either one depending on your preference.

I was skeptical on the polyester garments but from all the raves people were making, I thought I'd try them. They raves were right! These are soft and stretchy and will last alot longer than cotton shorts. They are not absorbant like cotton(it has its upsides and downsides) but the comfort factor alone puts them at 5 stars with me. I'm dumping cotton!

Very comfortable, no chafing!, January 18, 2011
By T. J. Anderson
|

Like a previous reviewer mentioned, I probably have more fat on my thighs than I should which leads to chafing with regular underwear. I took two of these on a 5-day canoe trip through the Florida Everglades. They dried quickly, prevented chafing and were very comfortable for extended wear. At this price I won't throw out my current supply of underwear, but I'll probably work these in as replacements as the others wear out.

These are very comfortable, but I did not think that they dried as fast as many had mentioned in the post. I got a pair of underarmor sport briefs and I think I like the underarmors a little better. Oh man is this awesome. Oh MAN!, August 22, 2010
By Erik Gregg
|
|
The first thing I did when I got these was strip down to my birthday suit and slide these bad boys over my legs. The soft nylon is a perfect material for underwear. Why is it so hard to find?! Cotton is the worst, and you'll be saying it with me when you try these on. Anyway, the have really nice support for "your boys," which comes in handy for bike riding and other activities. The odor resistance is awesome too - the actually don't stink after a 4.5 mile bike ride! And washing is awesome - just rinse with a little soap, and hang dry - they will dry in an hour or too, and you'll be ready to glide them over your leg-hairs once more!
The one minor con is that they have a lot less friction than cotton, so if you wear loose pants and bend over, you can almost be sure that your underwear will do everything in its frictionless power to escape the confines of your Levi's. This is minor though - wear a belt.

Great, not worth the money, May 20, 2011
By Zune lover
|
|
I saw the awesome reviews, and decided to just blow some money, which I never do. And I never will again. I'd say these are worth $10 max.
-Pro
Probably most comfortable boxer briefs ever
breathable
lightweight
dries somewhat fast
-Con
VERY expensive
stinks up even after one day of hiking (not anymore than other underwear, but certainly not what they claim to do)
still chafe slightly with them
Really, this is a great product, and a lot better than normal boxer briefs. But be reasonable, and buy something cheaper. It's too much for a pair of boxers, idc how rich you are.

These bunch of and are very uncomfortable. i think its because i hike and cycle a lot and have larger thighs then most people so the tight part of the brief slides up. Still the material lives up to its claims so i ordered the boxer version of these and I've been wearing them comfortably since. if you think you might be built like me then just get the boxer version. I'd give those five stars.

I have mixed feelings about spending $16.00 on 1 boxer brief. I tried these out and love how they are light, breathable, and wick moisture away from your body quick. Why am I paying almost $20.00 for 1 when they are made in china? Somebody else needs to get in the nylon boxers market quick.
