A bike helmet can only do it's job if someone wears it. Most men just want something to function as it's supposed to. But most women want things to look good AND function as it's supposed to. My wife was worried because it says the colors may vary. It was a bit different (tiny bit darker) but my wife loves it. She wears it, which is the most important thing and she is setting a good example for our kids. It's very lightweight and comfortable. The dial makes it fit exactly as it is supposed to. She would buy it again without hesitation.

I know the item name says "Adult Woman" but I have to tell ya - either I have an enormously large "adult woman" head size, or these helmets are just too small. I don't think of myself as having a gigantor-sized noggin, but the helmet barely fit on my head and the straps - even when adjusted to its largest setting - wouldn't even touch each other. The helmet looked nice enough, but unfortunately, I had to return it for a regular "Adult" sized helmet, i.e. the same one my husband ordered. It's a shame, because I really did like how this one looked, but in the end, who cares how it looks - if it doesn't fit on your head, it's not going to protect ya. Happy riding!

This helmet is reasonably comfortable, especially for the price. The reviewer stating that theirs was almost identical to the picture posted is lucky!
The helmet I received is a dark teal color with a flower print, but a very different print from the picture. It's really cute and I like the way it looks, but it could be quite a surprise for some one expecting a more 'girly' look.

Broken size adjustment strap., August 20, 2009

The adjuster strap broke within 15 seconds. A piece fell off where the screw adjustment screw ties into the helmet strap. It is now fixed but a concern remains that in an accident that the helmet strap might not hold.

I have 21 year old daughter and I bought her a weird pink colored bicycle. I chose this helmet, expecting to get the one pictured because it is the EXACT color of her bicycle. Well, no such luck. I got one that looks similar to the one pictured, but instead of the pink color, its bright blue. I wanted the helmet to match the bike! Not mad, just disappointed. I LOVE shopping on Amazon and hit them up big at Christmas time. I don't EVEN deal with the crowds in town. Amazon delivers to my front door. I LOVE IT! If you want a specific color helmet though, specify, and maybe you'll get lucky and get the color you want!

The part where the design is printed is a thin sheet of plastic taped to the styrofoam. They used something like black electrical tape. Looks good from afar though, but when looking closely, you'll be disappointed. Don't buy. Add a few dollars to the price and you'll get a more decent helmet.

I know that the title said "colors and patterns may vary," but they need should at least list out all the colors and patterns they have. That way you can at least choose which one you really want. I thought I was getting the purple helmet, but instead got the red/pinkish one. A little disappointed there, but other than that, no complaints! I really like the dial-fit part of the helmet. You can adjust it to exactly fit your head! I'd recommend this, but I wish they'd let you know what color you were getting ahead of time.

Too small for adult woman or even most girls over 3, July 6, 2011

Would be a great item, if it fit!
This is supposed to be an adult woman's helmet. The label says "adult," but it is way too small for any adult. It's too small for my 5 year old child. It is *tight* on my 3 year old child. Color did vary from the photo, but it is very pretty. Too bad it's completely un-usable as described.

I think this was a good helmet. My daughter has no complaints and it was at a fair price. I think you could almost find it for about the same price at any local WalMart or Meijer, Target.

Luckily, I received the red one and not the teal everyone was talking about. It looks ok and the circumference of the helmet itself is adequate and fits comfortably. HOWEVER the straps are stretched to the longest they can be and it barely snaps. I'm tall and sturdy all around, but my head is not freakishly large and I'm luckily not sporting a double chin or anything. The straps need to be at least an inch or two longer.

This helmet fits well, and it's really cute. I know that it says colors may vary, but I was really disappointed that my helmet was a deep teal instead of the purple shown in the image. Color choices or pictures of the different colored helmets would have been good. Don't get me wrong, it's not a terrible shade of blue- it's just not purple. It's still a good helmet though, and I'd definitely recommend it for the price. Just don't be alarmed if it's a different color.

I love the light weight of this helmet, also the dial to fit. I can wear with a transfer or barrier cap underneath or not as how to snug it with the dial. Now that I am doing endurance and speed riding this helmet will be perfect! Ordered a pink, blue came but it matched my bike. So all is good and God is good!

I bought this for my girlfriend. Shes about 5'2, has very thin hair, and this helmet just BARELY fits on her even without the straps on. This should be advertised as a child's helmet.
The color is off, but it does say that the color varies on the description. The one we received was red.
Shipping was awesome! Ordered it on Thursday and got in on Saturday morning.
4/5 Stars because this is not an adult helmet.

Way too small. This helmet is more for youth, I wish I have read the reviews before making the purchase. This helmet is too narrow and it's impossible that it's a women's helmet. My 13 years old niece is now using the helmet. Do not buy this helmet!

I had the same problem with the fit as another reviewer. I'm an average sized female with an average sized head. The helmet felt tight even with the adjuster strap fully expanded. It didn't cover my head properly and, frankly, it looked ridiculous. I received the helmet in teal, and it looked nice enough. I ended up getting a unisex adult helmet that fits much more comfortably and properly.

It will do its job well I guess. Won't know until you are in a crash. REI recommended atleast a $40 helmet and I was thrilled to see this for 20's. But its el cheepo! The finish is real bad the plastics feel like it might come off the foam anytime. Ended up buying a Giro for the second helmet. You get what you pay for.

Bought this for my daughter - 20" circumference head. It was a tight but wearable fit. We ended up returning this because the description nor the features said to expect any other color than the one depicted (I did miss reading the sub-title, but it is still ambiguous). Thankfully now some other customers have loaded images making this more obvious. Amazon took it back no problem. Thank you. Watch out if your head is over 20" circumference - it may not fit. And Amazon still needs to post in the description that this item may not match the image depicted.

I purchased this helmet based on previous reviews...for my 12yr old daughter and it fits her perfectly. I tried it on and it was way to tight, so you might want to be careful if your a normal sized adult head. As for the helmet, it looks solidly constructed, is not too heavy, has good vents, and most importantly my daughter says it's cool enough that she'll wear it which is what's most important. We got the blue/silver color and are quite happy with it.

i really wanted this helmet. i love hibiscus flowers and this schwinn helmet is shaped sleekly. the color variation worked in my favor because i got sent the red one! and i was hoping for the red one! sigh... anyway...
the helmet felt a tad small for my head, which is 22" in diameter, a M/L in gap hats, and according to an NIH reference, about 75% for women who are ~63" tall. it's not tight (the dial is about halfway between tightest and loosest for me), but it just feels like it's just perched on top of my head instead of hugging it. the foam on the back of the helmet kind of curves up, which may be for aesthetic reasons, i don't know.
at any rate, the dial is pretty snug against the base of my skull, but the helmet is about 2-3 inches above it. to see what would happen if i fell backwards, i put the helmet on and laid on my back. either the floor would make contact with the dial, or with the dial and helmet, and the helmet would kind of snap my head forward since it only covers about 1/3 of the back of my head. the schwinn Thrasher helmet fit me much better and snugly cradles the back of my head.

I was worried when I purchased this helmet that it might be too big, but it fits great. The dial adjuster works perfectly and seems to be removable if the wearer needs a larger circumference. I received the silver with purple flowers on the back, which is lovely. I was concerned that I might be sent an ugly one as the buyer cannot choose the colors, but I was very pleased with the colors. I definitely recommend this helmet for the great fit and comfort.

I bought this as a gift for my wife at Christmas when she got a new bicycle. It seems to be a nice bike helmet as helmets go. This coming from a guy who doesn't always wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle. She like the style and color and it adjusts to fit well. BOTTOM LINE: Would I buy it again??? YES!

I bought this bike helmet several months ago and wore it all over the place. It was my solution to my scary-drivers-who-don't-care-about-bicyclists problem. This helmet has so far saved my head from some whiplash from violent trees. I do feel safe with it, it's cute, and it was reasonably inexpensive, but it doesn't fully satisfy my needs. Whenever I adjust it to fit around the circumference of my head, the plastic grabs my hair and won't let go without some serious messing up of my hair-do. Now, I generally don't spend a lot of time getting ready in the mornings, but when I do, I don't want my hard work to be sabotaged by a bike helmet that I could easily forego. I think it's important to wear a helmet when biking on busy streets, but I think I should be able to wear one without it pulling my hair. This issue also makes me hesitant to wear cute headbands or flowers in case they are attacked by my protective bicycle helmet.

Many many women have commented on this helmet, but I'll put in my two cents as well.
This product says color/graphic may vary. I did some intense sleuthing, and it seem that there are 3 possible styles:
1. light purple, as seen in picture 1
2. red/pink, as seen in pictures 2 & 3
3. teal/blue-green, not pictured, but the same design as the light purple one, just in a different color (if you search google, you can find pictures of it).
I got the red/pink one. This may have been my least favorite of the three. However, even as my least favorite, it is still pretty great. Waiting to see which one I would get was kind of like being a kid again, and waiting to see which color gumball, or sticker, I'd get from those quarter machines.
I think my head is about average size (at least, I've never been told I have either a small or large head), and my helmet did fit, but it fits snugly, so do watch out if you have a medium or large sized head.
The product itself seems great, and riding with it I have absolutely no complaints. All in all, a great helmet for the price, as long as you don't mind gambling a bit on size/style.
