 Tiny & cute but not compatible for all bikes, November 30, 2009

Although this is a nice looking, sturdy basket, the velcro is not long enough for any bicycles with adjustable speed and brake cables running around the front and to the back of the bike. This basket is strictly for single-speed bicycles that have regular sized handlebars to accomodate the short velcro straps.

I read all the reviews before I placed the order. It was cute small basket just as other people mentioned. The dimension ( I measured the interior of the basket.) is Width: 10 inch ( the widest part )/ Depth: 7 inch/ Hight: 6 inch. It is big enough to put 6 oranges, size wise.. I like my basket. The little problems are, 1) the velcro is little bit short for my handles. 2) The basket ( velcro ) comes off from handle when I go over the bump on the street. 3) When I put a small water melon , about 4 Lbs weight, the velcro came down from the handle. This is not for heavy shopping anyway. Still, I am happy because of the look, and it goes with my little folding bicycle look anyway. Since I live in Down Town LA, when I lock my bicycle at a market parking, I always take the basket with me. It is very easy to remove the basket from my bicycle. The price was very good deal as well. I am happy about my purchase.

The basket is well made, looks pretty, and fits my bike perfectly. Size is a little small. If you want to go to farmer's market, this would be too small to hold any produces. I had read the review before I bought it, so it is expected. However it would be nice if they put measurement numbers in the description.

I bought this basket on a Friday and I had it by Monday. I love this basket, it is not big, but I like it because it fits my water, garage door opener, cell phone, wallet or whatever I might need for my ride. Love it!

We bought this basket to attach to a retro-looking 14" Diamondback Della Cruz bicycle for our four year old daughter. When the basket arrived, I initially thought it would be too big for her bicycle. But it turned out to be the perfect size. It is bigger - wider and deeper - than most children's plastic bicycle baskets. This has turned out to be quite a good thing. When my girls go bike riding, my daughter is always pleased to be able to carry the larger stuffed animals or her lunch sack or a huge pile out outdoor treasures (rocks!leaves!magnolia cones!).
It's held up really well. I'm ashamed to say we've left the bike out in the rain a few too many times, but the basket - despite a slight change in color - is sturdy as ever!
I'm not convinced this would be the ultimate basket for an adult's bike, but that all depends on what you're wanting to tote along. You could carry a small purse in here, or maybe a few (2-4) library books, or a small Sigg bottle and a paper lunch sack. But it's definitely not good for a trip to the grocery store or anything.
For our purposes, however, it was absolutely ideal. It's also easy to attach which is nice. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller basket for an old-fashioned single-speed bicycle.

I bought this for my college-bound daughter's new bike. When I showed her the online picture, she thought it would be too small, but upon arrival, she was pleasantly surprised to find it large enough to hold many more things than she expected. It's a great size for her bike, and since she wanted an old fashioned look to go with her retro bike, this was perfect. She really likes the quick-release velcro and handle in case she wants to lug it with her shopping or to class. I can't speak to the durability of it yet, she's only had a month, but at $9.99, I can buy another one or two and not break the bank. Overall, I give it a B+ to A-

I love my bicycle basket, although it took so long to get here I had to buy another one to make my vacation. I ordered it to take on a trip to Key West, where bicycles are the normal mode of transport. I wanted to decorate it and did not receive it in time. But when I got back home it was here, a little smaller than the one I bought but I will have a back up now. The basket is very cute.

I bought this basket for my 9 yo daughter for her bike for Christmas. The great thing about this basket is that you can remove it easily because of the velcro and use the handle to walk around with it. No, it's not big enough for shopping trips or anything like that. But, it's big enough for a water bottle and a barbie or snack. A sweater would also probably fit in there, if needed.

This basket is on the small side, certainly, measuring about 9.5 x 8 x 8", but that's still bigger than what I was anticipating based on other reviews. Probably not big enough if you like to stock up at the farmer's market, as others have said, but big enough to go return a couple of average-sized library books while still holding your keys and wallet, and maybe a few other small items. It seems sturdy, it's definitely cute, and I imagine that I'll have it for a long time.

I was looking for a basket for my daughter's beach cruiser, and came across this. I thought for the price, I couldn't go wrong! It came & I was so excited. It is the perfect size, fits her bike perfectly and she loves it. She goes for rides and is able to easily take it on and off for picking flowers or taking her little puppy for a cruise. The handle is great also, she loves to carry it around. We have personalized it with adding some flowers to the front. It is perfect for a child, but would not reccomend it for an adult size bike.

Great basket for smaller bikes. I bought it to go with my daughter's yellow diamondback cruiser (size 20"). It looks sooo cute and just completes the beach cruiser. I know she (age 6) will love taking her dolls and other toys with her as she cruises around the neighborhood.

Perfect for my folding bike, July 14, 2011

This basket works well with my folding Downtube Nova. My handlebars are straight and form a T with the stem so the velcro was plenty big and I have no interference with wires. Other reviewers gave the size, but I can share that the darkish, natural wicker did not look good on my blue/grey and black bike. It took me all of 10 minutes to spray paint the basket black, however, and now it looks great! I used Rustoleum hammered black because I already had it, but I would think others would work as well. I wanted to let others know because I noticed when I originally bought my black that there are some cool colors available. Had I known I could change the color, I would have bought it sooner.

This is the perfect size basket for my 26" Huffy Cruiser. The velcro straps are easy to use and keep the basket securely attached to my bike. The price makes this basket an excellent choice.

Before buying i wanted to check out the reviews and most consisted of its too small or it can only fit one speed bikes. I placed the order anyway and took a chance. It's actually not that small i can fit a towel and all my swimming stuff for when i ride down to my pool. It fits on my 5-speed mountain bike. I just had to maneuver the straps through my brakes. its durable and hardly moves when I'm riding. I live in a neighborhood with literally no cracks in the sidewalk so that might be a factor. it looks great and i would recommend this product to anyone looking to buy a bike basket for a low price(:

The basket was much smaller than I expected (about the size of a KFC bucket); however, as others have said, the velcro is too short to attach it to a bike. Maybe you could attach it to a baby tricycle.
Otherwise, it's a nice, tiny basket. It's just not for an adult bike.

I purchased this basket for my daughter's electric scooter. We have had the basket for three months and it is working great. My daughter loved it upon opening and immediately put it on. It holds a few things such as a lock, large water bottle, gloves, etc. It is very classic looking. I would recommend this for a bike or scooter that has a kick stand and will not be thrown down.

I was looking for something light weight to put on my 20" Prodeco Folding Electric Bike. This basket is perfect. It was a little tricky to attach to my handle bars since my brake lines were in the way, but I was able to get it attached. The lower velcro strap was easy to attach and the basket seems stable. I've taken the bike out a couple of times and used the basket for my dog's leash, my cell and my wallet and there was plenty of room for a water bottle, and sweater. If I filled it up, I would probably use a small bungee cord across the top to hold my worldly goods in place.
I love that it is easy to take on and off and has a handle so I can use it for shopping. It also gives just a little touch of whimsey to my ride.
I am very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 5 year old daughter. The size is perfect for her. She immediately started filling it with things and attached the basket to the scooter that she also got for Christmas. It fit perfectly and it hasn't come off since. I'm sure the basket will eventually make it to her bike but I love that she can use it on both. She is very active and loves to be outdoors so I'm sure this is one gift that will get lots of use. I had read all the other reviews about it being on the smaller size which is why I bought it and it is absolutely perfect. I do think this would work for an adult as well if you don't want a really big basket. Really happy with this purchase.

This basket is much better quality than most of the kids bicycle baskets on the market. This one has velcro straps, so it holds on nicely. Others use plastic that wears and breaks easily. We put this on a retro-looking Schwinn tricycle we have for our 3 year old, and she loves it. It's plenty big to carry her favorite doll or stuffed animal around with her.

I bought this Avenir Wicker Bike Basket in Nov'2010 on Amazon for my young daughter. The wicker basket look is currently the "hip and trendy" look (at least according to my wife and daughter). This basket is cute and was easy to quickly install on her 20 inch Electra via the velocro straps.
My daughter is happy with the basket and feels stylin' as she rolls through the neigborhood as it is stuffed with her various critical needs such as a couple of juice boxes and her stuffed rabbit. As her practical dad, I am happy she likes it but I have noticed that in less than one year some of the wicker strands are frayed and/or broken. I think getting caught in the sun and/or rain accelerates the wear and tear. Probably one more year left for this basket. Personally, I prefer a metal basket in silver or chrome. But I guess if my daughter is happy then a couple of years use for this basket is still worth it.

We bought this little basket for my daughter last Christmas. She loves this little basket. She has a single speed DiamondBack "Grind" bike. The basket fits perfectly and is just the right size for her and the bike. She totes all kinds of things in the basket - anything from 1/2 gallon of milk and doughnuts (early morning breakfast ride) to water bottles and stuffed animals. The cat won't stay in it so she settles for stuffed ones! :) We've been extremely happy with the quality of the basket. The wicker is strong and durable - it has no sign of wear or tear. The top handle is pretty much useless and unneeded, it's a good thing it sits flat against the basket. We haven't had any trouble with the velcro or the way it fits onto the bike. All in all, it was a great find! Everyone who sees this basket loves it and asks us where we got it. SO much better than the cheap ones they sell at the toy store!

This basket is the perfect size for my 26" cruiser. I mainly wanted a basket for aesthetic purposes but also to have a little storage for keeping my cell phone and wallet so I wouldn't have to wear a purse while biking. This was very easy to attach to my bicycle and it feels pretty sturdy however I wouldn't recommend this for someone that needs to haul textbooks or groceries or anything crazy heavy like that.

This is an absolutely beautiful basket and looked perfect on my daughter's new 16" cruiser bike. (She's 4yrs old, BTW.) Unfortunately, it did not last past the third tumble on the bike. Literally, the top edge of the basket ripped right off and left a gaping chunk missing off the back side of it. So, maybe a natural wicker is not the best choice for durability and a preschooler who is learning to ride.
