handy tray, but you can improve it..., July 17, 2010
By T. Burgess (Tulsa, OK)

SEE INSERTED PICTURE ABOVE. I like this tray, pretty sturdy, but I made one improvement. I added some rare earth magnets and collars one uses in woodworking to hold cabinet doors closed. [...] has some in varying sizes, just search rare earth magnets. Anyway, just use a wood screw to screw it to the tray, I used a washer under the collar since my screw was a tad too long. (poke a small hole in the tray where you want the magnet to go). Now you can keep those small parts handy without them getting lost.
The PCS-10 stand has the mounting collar needed to mount the tray, the PCS-9 does not, and I almost bought it; glad I got the PCS-10.

I didnt think this would be all that useful, but I got it as a gift along with my Park Tool stand. Much to my surprise, its super handy and along with a magnetic bowl makes keeping your crap in line easier than normal.

Just what the doctor ordered, November 29, 2010

The work tray does a great job of keeping everything I need within easy reach... works great, however, check the Park website before ordering the required clamp and make sure it'll fit your stand.

Tools in one place, September 6, 2010

Nice little add on to the work stand (I've got the PCS-10 - love it). Always good to have all the tools you need within close reach. The only thing that would make it better is if a small section of the tray was magnetic for screws/bolts, so you don't need to get a separate tray.

This tray is excellent keeping everything handy as you work or clean your bike. Be sure to buy the optional collar for your stand to lock the tray in place.

Not that great if you consider the price, February 12, 2011

Comes with a metal base that can be adjusted (by force) if you have a different base wide (see images attached) or you wold need to buy the adapter. The plastic tray is OK, with the rather simple Park tools sticker on the side (not painted so may fall). So, even when is good to work, is not the expected quality for the price.

Very handy for repairs, servicing even washing your bike, January 28, 2011
By D. A. Walker (Trinidad)

Any time my bike is on the stand (usually 3 - 4 times a week) the tray is attached and comes in very handy. If you're anything like me... then you are always putting things down and can't find them again. This tray solves this problem. All the tools I am using at the time stay in the tray so I can always find them.
Its also handy for holding your brushes when you are giving the bike a wash down.

This is the work tray to have for your Park Bike Stand, August 10, 2011
By drnail (St. Louis, MO)

Park Tools are the best for bikes. I ordered the nicer work tray for my PCS-1 bike stand to replace the old broken tray. I've had my bike stand for many years and a few moves, so it has taken a beating, and works just great for adjusting and repairing the bikes. For the new tray you do need the adapter. I have the older pcs-1 stand and I had to sand out the collar to attach the tray to the stand. No big deal. 5 minutes tops with a Dremel. The collar is made of thick hard flexible plastic. The material is easy to remove, and the collar is thick enough that removing a little does not compromise it's function. The quick clamp works just fine, and this tray is really nicer than the shallow model. The #106 tray has a stout wire frame for support and also to provide a holder for towel and lube is great. It is large enough to accomodate a magnetic bowl for metal parts. Tools and cables don't slide off like the old model. I thought I was splurging to pay the extra for this, but after I got it I thought this is what we should have started with! It is worth the money.

Park Tool Work Tray, July 15, 2011
By Zach Hunt (Reno, NV USA)

This tool tray works great. You will need to ensure you have the correct work stand because if you dont the mountining collar (Park Tool Accessory Collar for 106 Work Tray) will also need to be purchased. I didnt have the stand with the mounting collar so I had to install mine with electrical tape. This works, just not like it will with the correct mounting collar. Tool tray does work effectivley.

Makes my bike maintenance much easier, July 3, 2011
By phillyhouse (Moosup, CT)

I bought this tray because I was setting parts I removed from bicycles on the floor, and one of my kids would invariably come by and kick them or step on them, or I would kick/step on them myself. I am not sure this tray would be useful to someone who has a workbench right next to their stand, but I don't so for me it is great. I like how it attaches to my PCS-10 Park Tool Stand. It could be a smidge larger in my opinion, but then again where do you draw the line? I gave 4 stars vice five because I have not found a use for the "tool holes" shown on the front of the tray. None of the bike tools I own really fit into them well, even in the picture all they could muster was an allen wrench. Like their repair stands, this tray is very sturdy. Overall I like it.

Awsome, April 23, 2011

Sure is nice having a place to sit your tools and parts while working on your bike. I use mine with a PCS10 and together they make a great combination especially for my 50 year old back that likes to minimize bending over to the garage floor but doesn't have a place to set up a nice workbench and pegboard workspace.

This works great for me with the PCS-10 stand Park Tool PCS-10 Home Mechanic Repair Stand. The tray plugs right into the top of the stand (or middle) keeping everything handy.

Handy Tray For Your Bike Repair Stand, March 3, 2011
By Ste7en2buy
|
|
Overall the tray works for it's intended purpose. Could be a little more rugged in it's thickness of plastic, it's very light. It's a little tricky with hanging tools in the front as pedals do not move around the tray very well. Mounts easily to stand and makes easy access to tools and parts.

great idea, very handy, August 19, 2011

This is a great addition to the stand. it allows you to have a place for all the bits and pieces, tools and lubricants, while working. It even has a place for a rag/towel. Be aware that it will require that you raise the jaws to allow the tray to stay in place, not a big issue.

If you have a PCS-1 or PCS-4, please read this., November 5, 2011
By S. Reisman
|
|
I just installed it and found out that it needs a Park Tool Accessory Collar in order to mount to my PCS-1 (The PCS-4 also needs it). It would have been nice if the online description of the work tray had mentioned that, though it may have bumped the expense to more than I would have paid. A couple of hose clamps worked perfectly, if less elegantly.
The worktray seems just about right and should add some convenience when working on my bikes. The tray is deep enough to keep things from falling off with plenty of hangars and holes of various sizes.

Needs the Optional 106AC, October 12, 2011
By Isaac Images (NY & NJ)
|

Good tray. Even if you have the model stand that includes the 106AC bracket, the tray mounts too close to the lock lever, and gets in the way. You must order another 106AC to mount the tray where you need it -- away from the shaft lock.

MEH, January 31, 2012
By K. Dixon (Texas)

It's nice having quick access to stuff, but I can't believe the price for what this is. Everything feels low quality on it, it feels like a dish tray with a little modifications. The stand itself was great, so I figured this would be a no brainer. I'm still happy I have it, not happy about the price. I guess a "park tool" sticker is enough to bump the price up an extra $15. This should COME with the stands.
