Best sport sunglasses ever!!!!!!!!!!!, September 22, 2009
By AMR (TX, USA)

I have to say that i have never make a review here in Amazon before! but after buying this product i had do it. I am a long distance runner and biker, and run about 60 to 75 miles a week, i use my sunglasses all the time even to go to work as an Athletic Trainer and they work just perfect. Super light, comfortable, completely block sunlight, even make car sunlight reflection go away. It's price can't be better i would've pay even more, since the quality they offer is great. They include 2 holders, 1 cleaning pad, 1 soft case and 1 hard case. I use them all the time and so far they have work just great. They look pretty nice in my face and not goofy. Even the delivery time is perfect, super fast. I placed the order a thursday before labor day and tuesday after labor day (monday) they were in my face already. If you are looking for non expensive sunglasses that protect you from UV lights and want to use them not only to do outdoors, but also going to work, these product is what you are looking for. Feel free to buy it.

Great product, July 22, 2009
By Mark (Spokane, WA)

I am quite impresses with this product and this company. I needed a pair of decent sunglasses that wouldn't break the bank and I found these. They are reasonably cheap, and I have seen inferior glasses for twice the price. Plus, you get all these cool free gifts like a case, bag, base lanyard, boating lanyard (floats), cleaning cloth, free retro style glasses coupon. On top of all that fast shipping. I gambled when I bought these as I live pretty much as far away from south carolina as possible in the lower 48, and I planned to go on vacation on thursday. Placed my order on monday with a 3-5 days expected shipping. Arrived wednesday mourning and I got to test them out just after waking up. No squinting in the first sun of the day, was a plus. Polarize works well at least in my pool, no glare :)
Plus, on top of all this a lifetime trust warrenty...with all this service oakley might need to watch out.

Great for Cycling, Driving, May 16, 2010
By Sachmo
|
|
I use these sunglasses mostly for cycling. Some kind of eye protection is pretty necessary because if debris flies into your eyes while on the move, you are pretty screwed.
I like these glasses because they cover my eyes peripherally, and do not leave any areas below or above the glasses where unfiltered light shines through. I've owned other pairs of glasses that fail to cover my entire field of vision. The lenses themselves are quite nice. They have a very high quality look to them, and actually using them they do a great job in maintaining visual clarity on an otherwise very sunny day. The glasses sit pretty comfortably on my face, they are easy on the nose, and I like the look of them.
Some other reviewers have mentioned that these sunglasses have a cheap or low quality feel to them.
I can understand why they got this initial impression. The lenses themselves, though of high quality, are not rigidly fixed to the frame of the sunglasses. There is a bit of play in the fixation of the lenses, and the lenses can actually wiggle around a bit in the frame. To be clear, the lenses don't actually wiggle or move around at all when I'm wearing them, they just have a slight bit of play in their fixation to the frame.
I have a theory as to why they are designed this way. If the lenses are free to move around a bit, there is less chance if the glasses are bent, dropped, or run over by accident that the lenses will break. Less stress is transmitted to the lenses because of the extra clearance, and if the frame does happen to bend for some reason, the clearance will give some breathing room for the lenses so they won't snap. I personally think of it as a positive feature, though I could be wrong.
Also, in other sunglasses where the lenses are surrounded completely by plastic, the lenses occasionally pop right out. I don't think that these lenses would ever have that problem.
The frame itself is plastic, which may also be 'cheap looking' to some. I personally don't mind because the glasses are very lightweight, which I like.
They're definitely much better than the $5 dollar sunglasses you might find at a gas station (in my personal experience none of those have lasted me longer than 6 months).
I do think $35 is a bit expensive for the sunglasses, but then again I couldn't imagine paying less than $20 for them. I'd recommend them, because I think they'll last a long time and do their job well.

Polarized Sunglasses for Fishing, Golf, Cycling, Kayaking Superlight Tr90 Frame JMP44
I love these sunglasses! They are so lightweight I hardly know they are on my face. This company is also great...they will replace anything if you are not happy with the product. Their shipping is very quick also. I thought it would take a week to get them, and I got them in about 2 days from the time they were ordered. Great company, great products!

Great Glasses, March 25, 2010
By Jason M. (Orlando, FL)
|
|
This is my second pair of these glasses. Originally I had gotten the bronze lens for skating, and I liked them so much I got a pair in black for work. Really, I couldn't be happier with them. They are light as a feather, comfortable to wear for long periods, and do their intended job as sunglasses very well. As someone else said, the frames are kind of "flimsy", as opposed to a stiffer frame, but that keeps them comfortable and I would imagine makes them quite difficult to break as is advertised. So I would consider that "flimsiness" as intended flex.
They come with a hard and soft case, cleaning cloth, two straps, and as of this writing a coupon for a free pair of aviators which I will be sure to pick up. Something for everyone, and quite useful.
Normally I prefer not to buy from the "marketplace" shops and deal directly with Amazon. However JiMarti seems like a quality, customer friendly company, and I would not hesitate to deal with them again. Highly recommended!

For These?, November 4, 2010
By You don't need a weatherman to.. (Hickory, NC USA)
|
|
Let me be clear, these are cheap Wal-Mart street-vendor style sunglasses. The plastics feels cheap and the lens are slightly distorted and move around the frame. The case and cleaning rags that came with them is worth more than the glasses. I contacted JiMarti and they responded over 24 hours later that I "didn't know what I had," (very condescending) and that the lens is made out of bulletproof material. Can you believe it, the lens are actually bulletproof! Well if that were true they could justify the price, but of course the lens are not bulletproof but one has fallen out of the frame if that indicates the quality. Buyer beware, this company is also trying to scam people with offers of more cheap sunglasses in exchange for 4 or 5 stars. Kinda shady company if you ask me. Will NOT be buying from JiMarti again.

Purchased as a quick replacement for Oakley's, June 24, 2010
By Paul Adams II
|
|
As stated in the title, I bought these as a quick and "cheap" replacement for my Oakley M-frames, which did not survive a fall from a 30 foot rock I was climbing. I couldn't afford to replace my Oakley glasses with another pair this month, so I bought these as a compromise.
However, after wearing them for the past few weeks, I'm not sure that I will get another pair of Oakley sunglasses. For the price you get all the following:
-optics are near perfect
-fit great (I wear a size 7-1/4 fitted hat size)
-aren't bulky
-don't slip when I sweat
-block the wind when I ride my bike or when I am rock climbing
-100% UV protection
-polarized, so I can see into the water when rafting/canoeing/fishing
-inexpensive; so I don't have to apologize after saying "bad words" in front of the kids for breaking a $120 pair of glasses
I am a scout den leader, and spend most of my free time out with the boys having fun in the outdoors. They have worked great for me, and I can't really find any faults with them. I am ordering several more (13 pairs) for the scouts in my Cub Scout den as they will need sun glasses when we head back out backpacking next month. These were a great find for the price.

Boyfriend says, "Best sunglasses I've ever owned", March 1, 2010
By Munchkin (Minneapolis, MN)
|
|
I got these sunglasses for my boyfriend. He's been searching for a good pair of sunglasses for years, literally. He has a rather large head, needs polarized lenses, and prefers wrap-around style glasses. I saw these and decided to give them a try. He absolutely loves them. They feel flimsy, but in reality seem very hard to break because they have a lot of give in the frames. One of the best features is the fact that they come with a case. It is very hard to find a case large enough for wrap-around glasses. These are a good quality for the price, especially if they work for my picky man.

decent product but the lenses..., September 24, 2010
By HY (US)
|
|
I have a pair of Bolle Parole sunglasses, but the arm rubber and nose pieces were worn out. I got a pair of Jimarti JMP44 sunglasses last year based on previous positive reviews and reasonable prices.
But I just ordered another pair of Bolle. The reason is the lenses.
Jimarti sunglasses are well made, but I can never see through them as clear I can with my old Bolle ones while playing golf.
If you think your eyes are pretty sensitive, maybe you want to get a pair of sunglasses with proven quality of lenses.

Not worth the money, March 31, 2010
By Serajul I. Khan

For $[...] bucks you expect something decent. These sunglasses are not very good. The product is of very low quality, something you can buy from wal-mart for [...] bucks. Also, the sunglasses are kinda small so if you have a larger head, they may not fit you.

Good buy, October 22, 2011
By Brata
|
|
Let me first start with the main component of a sun glass, the lenses. The lenses are made up of polycarbonate which is very common now a day and it naturally blocks UVA & B. So that part is fine and there is nothing amazing about it. As it is made up of polycarbonate I can expect it not to shatter in small incidences as polycarbonate is actually called shatter proof and used in riot shield and bullet proofing. So the basic aspects of the lenses are fine.
Now comes the polarized part. The lenses are indeed polarized. Polarization angle is oriented such that it is most effective for horizontal plane i.e. good for driving car or riding bikes and fishing and both lenses are tuned well such that there is no mismatch of polarization angle. The clarity of the lenses are, I would say, good enough for general sporting purposes. May be not as good as Oaklays and other well known brands but then if you are so particular about clarity then I guess you should be ready to spend much more.
The frame is, according to the manufacturer, made up of TR90 material (Grilamid TR 90 I guess). This I have no way to check. So I will go by their words and indeed if it is made up of TR90, I can rely on it. But the molding quality may not be as fine as Oaklays and other well known brands but it is good enough and looks good. The frame is very flexible but definitely not flimsy. Other users commented about the relative movement of the lenses. I think it is designed that way. It is not at all loose in the frame but when you bend the frame the lenses don't bend and it is intended that way for obvious reasons. The lenses are not screwed or grooved to the frame. The shape is such that they fit on the frame and can be replaced easily. But one point though, if you don't have very good control over the molding of the frame, lenses might fit loosely on some of the frames and might come off too easily which is not desirable (I think this is also reported by some of the customers).
The frame fits on me quite comfortably and the over all feel is really good and it is very light. It comes with a soft pouch, a semi hard case two holders of different types and a piece of cloth for wiping the lenses. I think at $50 it is a good buy.

I bought these sunglasses not knowing what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The sunglasses fit well, are extremely durable, and light as a feather. They don't bounce on my head while running and stay in place even on long runs that can reach 16 or 17 miles. Great sunglasses!

Amazing Value with Bonuses out the kazoo, January 6, 2011
By LancezFun (Colorado)
|
|
Climber-skier-biker: Wow. Due to the fact (like many out there) I either lose, break, squash or otherwise ruin most sunglasses, finding a flexible ("unbreakable" I hope so - they are guaranteed) frame with good quality lens for an affordable price is about impossible. Until now. I wore these today in very bright low angle sun off the mountains (intense is understating). There was no glare, no squinting, detail on and off the road was incredibly good. I am excited to try these shades out tomorrow on the ski slopes. With the added bonus of an anti-fog cleaning cloth, soft bag, formed and zippered case, two croakies AND a certificate for another free pair - I don't see how you could possibly beat this deal. I'll be back for more!

Product Review, November 30, 2010
By Umar G.

The sunglasses are decent quality, light weight, durable, provide decent protection and minimizes sun light and glare. I wear these when driving, kite flying, etc and they work well. The lenses provide cover to your eyes from the sides. They are also stylish-in a good way. The product also comes with an excellent case and two accessories (sunglasses straps). My only criticism is the seller should include a micro-fiber cloth alongwith the product.

Great Sunglasses, April 5, 2010
By Ken (Doylestown, OH, United States)

This is the first review I've written, but I had to put in a plug for these sunglasses. After many, many years wearing glasses I finally decided to try contacts. And that meant that for the first time in years I needed a pair of sunglasses. After looking and trying several pair I finally hit on these, and they are everything I've been looking for. They look GREAT, they fit perfectly and with both polarized lenses and UV protection ... what more could you ask for?

great driving on brite days, January 12, 2010
By Bob Richter (Wisconsin USA)
|

Bought these sunglasses primarily for fishing and kayaking. Vendor shipped promptly, well packaged, and lots of extras. Since it is still mid-winter in WI, tried them for driving. They are great - light weight, fit well on my large head, and stop the glare off the snow - especially on the sides. Best way I know to test polarization is to detect fish underwater - unfortunately no open water available. Certainly will test this spring and summer

Great Pair of Cheap Polarized Glasses, November 21, 2009
By D. Bourland
|
|
I've been impressed by these relatively cheap glasses. I transitioned from cheapo Wal Mart glasses to several expensive pairs of Oakleys, but I like these the best. They're super light, have good clarity and are surprisingly scratch resistant (opinion not statement).
I bought these for cycling, running and motorcycle riding...but I found I tend to wear them all the time. They're even great for driving through rain storms (don't ask my how, but they are great in semi-dark conditions). If you're looking for something darkly tinted, keep looking...but even my sensitive eyes appreciate what these lil guys do. Highly recommend.

I never write reviews, but these sunglasses are great! I'm a woman and avid cyclist, at first I was worried they would be too large, but they fit my face perfectly! Very lightweight and great sun/dirt/bug protection. I'm recommending these to all my biking buds and probably going to order another pair in a different color for some fun variety.

Nice Sunglasses, May 4, 2011
By Band Fan (Aurora, CO)
|
|
These sunglasses are perfect for my needs. The fit is very good and that's important for eye wear that might be on for a long time. The gray lenses are exactly the type of lens that I prefer. I know that other people might like a darker lens but this lighter lens works best for me. Lastly, these glasses are polarized. That makes a huge difference in being able to see outside in some bright situations. With this particular frame style there is a lot of air that can pass behind the lens so I don't get much fogging when I'm doing something physical and sweating. A cool feature of this company is that they include two different types of neck straps, a bag for the glasses, cleaning cloth and a hard case. I will admit that some of the finish on the plastic at close inspection is a little cheap looking but overall these glasses and this company deserve the product recognition for going above and beyond.

Polarized Sunglasses Superlight Tr90 Frame JMP44, October 1, 2010
By Deanna J. Wyatt (MANASSAS, VIRGINIA, US)

|
After much research for what I wanted in the way of well made, protective sunglasses, these sunglasses well exceeded my criteria. They have good, clear vision with optimal UV protection, and an extra feature of a wrap-around lense that helps keep side sunlight out. The frames are light weight, tight fitting, and non-slipping. Extra features of cord holders with a very nice, hard, protective case was great! First class company. Highly recommend this product.

Pretty cheesy, flea market value, April 7, 2010
By Brian (WA)

|
I needed a new pair of sunglasses for biking & driving, and after much debate, thought I would take a chance on these. As soon as I opened the box, I was disappointed with how cheap they looked.... like something I would pick up at a street fair for ten bucks. I held on to them for a few days hoping I might change my mind, but no, they still looked like cheap plastic. I finally boxed them up and sent them back.
On a positive note, they did arrive quickly, and it was no hassle to return them for a painless refund.

does the job, September 16, 2011
By T. Kardos (San Mateo)

It is unfair to compare shades that are hundreds of dollars apart, but hard not to while I am still kicking myself for losing really expensive and comfortable MJs. The best thing about the TR90s is that I won't be crying so hard if/when I break or lose them. Fit and comfort are adequate. I'm not going to forget I have them on, but I can wear them for long periods without a problem. I find the nosepiece intrudes very slightly into my line of sight, its all about the shape of your face. Some may find these super comfortable. Worth a try at the price.

Great glasses, August 9, 2011
By J. kieffer
|
|
I bought these glasses to replace some $10 cheap knock-offs that I bought at a local market and have been happy Keith them since I received them. They're very light and cut the glare great, but still keep objects in sharp contrast (I opted for the bronze lenses). I don't drive much now, but I suspect these will be a must-have for road trips. The polarization Isn't as pronounced as it is on some other glasses, but definitely does the job. Some of the other reviews question the quality of the construction. I haven't been concerned with them breaking, and about the only way for them to get these glasses a light as they are is to minimize the frame as much as possible. I have no concerns about the breaking. I am seriously considering purchasing another pair as a backup.

Very responsive seller, July 26, 2011
By Justin in KC (Kansas City, MO)

My original purchase of glasses was delivered promptly. However, when received, they had a scratch on one of the lenses. I contacted the seller who, after a limited amount of dialogue, issued me a new pair of replacement sunglasses and sent them priority mail. While they requested I return the original glasses, they went ahead and sent me a new pair before even receiving the pair I returned. I'm still waiting on the new pair to arrive as they only mailed them out yesterday, but trust that all will be sorted given the responsiveness of the seller up to this point. Would work with this seller again.

These were exactly what I was looking for. The polarized lens quality exceeds my expectations. They are very light weight and while riding I hardly notice that I'm wearing them. I see what other reviewers mean when they say the lenses don't feel like they're 100% affixed to the frame. I've wiggled them every which way and no problems yet. The best part is that if something happens to these or if they are lost I won't be too worried about replacing them.

Very clear and durable, May 7, 2011
By Ruzzian (Orlando, FL)
|
|
My first pair of sunglasses I eventually lost after about 9 months, but the entire time they stayed scratch free. It can be scratched but its much harder then the cheap pairs you get at convenience store. I fly R/C helicopters and clarity is amazing. I can see the orientation of my heli at a lot farther distances then with cheaper glasses. It comes with nice hard case plus the cleaning bag. I bought another pair of the amber and then grey for my wife. Basically the amber is better for low light, I can even wear in dark. The grey is more for sunny days. If you google it, there are plenty of websites that explain what colors are good for in glasses.

Great Glasses, February 6, 2011
By Amazon Queen (Oregon)
|
|
We are avid fly fishers, and if we have bought one pair of polarized glasses we have bought a hundred, but we have finally found the last brand we will ever buy!
These are great glasses at a fraction of the price we have paid for some of the others we have bought over the years. I got these for my husband for Christmas and am getting some for me next.

Great Glasses, December 13, 2010
By JG (Miami, FL USA)

|
I was in the market for a polarized sunglasses. I came across this glasses, read the reviews and decided to give them a try. They are fantastic, very light, very comfortable. I live in Miami where the sun glare is quite a problem. Not anymore. Everything looks so clear that is amazing. Now my wife wants to use them all the time also.

Five-star company and seems like an awesome product, December 7, 2010
By Beth (Quakertown, PA United States)

After years of online shopping, I'm finally inspired to write a review. I'm really impressed with this seller. My package was in shipping within an hour of my order and I received it in 2 days...and the shipping was free! Great experience. The sunglasses I ordered seem great - look good, lightweight, lots of stuff (case, straps, cleaning wipe) for the money. It's a gift, though, so we'll have to wait to see if he likes it! I'll be really surprised if he doesn't. First-rate company!

Great sungalsses, November 16, 2010
By Brian Saunders (Sunnyvale, CA United States)

These are very lightweight, good looking sunglasses, at a good price. They shipped in a timely fashion, and came with a case, glass cleaning cloth, and 2 types of straps I wasn't expecting to receive. They also came with a coupon for another free pair of aviator sunglasses, to be sent just for the shipping cost. Overall a very good deal.

Great sunglasses!, November 6, 2010
By Jean M. Mendes
|

I bought these sunglasses for my husband, who had lost 2 pairs of Maui Jim sunglasses previously. I was a little skeptical, as the price was too good to be true for good polarized sunglasses; however, my husband loves them. They are very light weight and he hardly knows he has them on. He looks great in them also.

Great pair of sunglasses for cycling (and the beach). They're so light and comfortable you barely know they're there. On top of that they look good and they're polarized. One of the best purchases I've made on Amazon.

Excellent Jmarti sunglasses, September 24, 2010
By Mark Sweberg
|
|
I recently purchased a pair of Jmarti sunglasses, having not owned a pair before and deciding they looked good for the price. I am delighted to say these sun glasses exceed my expectations. They are very light weight, comfortable to wear and come with both a solid hard case and a soft case which give me plenty of options for taking them along wherever I go and need sunglasses. When I need sunglasses again I will stop at Jmarti first to see what they have to offer.

By Patrick M. Thomas (Columbus, OH United States)

I spent 20 yrs as a licensed optician, so I do know quality glasses. The lenses are great and very good quality. The glasses are very light weight and comfortable to wear for long periods. The frame does run on the small side which is exactly what I was looking for. The company was great. I received these 2 days after ordering, and they sent 2 extra cords. Extremely positive experience. Don't pass these up, you really won't find better.Polarized Sunglasses for Fishing, Cycling, Golf, Kayaking Superlight Tr90 Frame JMP44

Great for cycling!, September 2, 2010
By Amazon Primer (Austin, TX)
|
|
I bought these glasses to wear when I'm cycling. It is very light weight and very comfortable to wear. I really like the fact that they are polarized so that it blocks out glare. I wore them to a water theme park, and it held up really well to water splashes and such. I think these are best sport glasses for the price, my only problem with them is that it feels a bit flimsy, but I guess it's because it is ultra light. I'm thinking about buying another pair with different color.

Great glasses, September 2, 2010
By Christoph Koehler
|
|
These are great sunglasses! They fit very nicely on my somewhat large head. The nose pads are very comfortable and made from rubber, as are the ends of the temple bars, so they fit snugly and don't go anywhere even when I sweat while cycling, without being uncomfortably tight.
They are very light, too, so I don't notice even wearing them after a little while.
I'm not sure what to say about the polarized lenses. Looking through them feels normal; I noticed a little bit of distortion at first, but not enough to put my finger on. Now I don't notice it anymore. It's like you're not wearing any glasses and someone just dialed the sun glare back enough to not be irritating. They are not quite as dark as some other glasses I've owned, but never felt like they didn't shield my (very sensitive) eyes on a bright day.
About them feeling cheap, I can somewhat relate. They are light and feel like plastic, but it's really a type of nylon. That makes them flexible enough for me to just throw around or even put in my pocket without having to worry about them breaking. I can even let my little toddler play with them without him breaking them, as he's done with some other pairs of mine.
Overall, the light weight, nice lenses, snug fit, and indestructibility make them very nice glasses!

A great deal, August 27, 2010
By Nick D (Berkeley, CA)
|
|
These are the best sunglasses I've had in a long while. Vision is the best of any I now have. I use them for baseball and they are feather light and don't fog up easily. The durable carrying case helps ensure I won't accidentally break them when not in use. They also come with a croakie style strap and a more traditional style neck strap, and a cleaning cloth. I bought a second pair for baseball since I lost the original case which I need to keep my regular pair protected. I use my original pair every day and they've been going good for months now. I ride my bike everyday with these glasses so they get a pretty good working over, but they still work great.

Perfect for cycling, August 17, 2010
By G. Prentice (Arizona)
|
|
My only complaint about these sunglasses is that I didn't buy them a year ago. What a difference these glasses made on my bike ride today. Bright clear vision and no more glare from this intense Arizona sun.
With my old pair of uv protection sunglasses, glare had always been a problem, especially while biking and making the transition from bright sunlight to going through a shaded underpass my vision was greatly diminished and it always bother me. With these polarized lenses I made that transition with clear vision and I felt much safer. The entire ride was much brighter and completely glare free.
The glasses are well made, light weight and very comfortable. Can hardly wait to try them hiking tomorrow, but I know my glare problems on that hike will be a thing of the past.
Awesome product.

best sunglasses I have worn, July 19, 2010
By Michael Edmonson (Orleans, MA United States)
|
|
I'm a sunglasses snob, my sister bought me a pair of these. I have been using them since december. When I first got them out of the case I thought-'wow these look flimsy', and I was worried that I would bust them. I have just gotten back from a trip to the midwest where I was on a football field for two weeks in hot sun and the glasses have been a god-send.
They aren't so dark that they can't been worn on a cloudy day, and aren't so light that they aren't prefect for the scalding high-noon sun or snowy days shoveling. They fit well, have not fallen off my face, no matter the amount of perspiration, and fog has been almost a non issue. What's more is the case protects very well and micro-fiber wipe clean the glasses perfectly. The light-weight construction is not poorly made as I had thought, but built to move, bend and flex, thus lessening the chances of breakage even in an active life style.
I have owned many pairs of sunglasses but never a pair I would buy again or recommend to someone else, until now. People that say these glasses are expensive must be used to getting glasses at a gas station, and have not spent 150-200 on name brands-to me this is money well spent. I look at sunglasses as an investment in eye-health, call it sunblock for the eyes. But don't take my word for it--get a pair, then tell all your friends to stop looking for the mecca of eye wear, or wasting money on something else.

best sunglasses ever, June 27, 2010
By kmdii

I wear these for everything. it is somewhat hard to find a fashionable pair that is not overpowering on a woman's face. they don't look so "sporty" that you can't wear them everyday. the polarized lens make them perfect for driving too. they are lightweight and not too tight. and they stay put while running and biking. they only downside is running when it is cold they started to fog up. not sure how to help that but it is the only improvement to be made. I actually bought a second pair in case i lost or broke my first.

Super light and comfortable - perfect for running!, May 24, 2010
By Patrick Abernathy
|
|
These things are so light that It doesn't feel like I'm wearing sunglasses while I run. They do a great job of keeping the wind and debris out of my eyes, and of course, they take care of the sun/glare issues when it's really bright out. You get a bunch of free stuff with them, too. They really perform well when it comes to staying in place during intense physical training (although the free sports strap took a while to get on). I can't wait to try them out kayaking this summer. I plan to get another pair to keep in the car, and I'll definitely recommend these sunglasses to friends and family.

Great, Cheap sunglasses!, March 18, 2010
By Richard D. Frey
|
|
These things are great! I understand what people are saying about them being flimsy, but so far so good. They do "feel" cheap, but they claim they're tough to break, so until they do, i guess i'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I think if you use the hard case and take care of them, they should be fine. They included a hard case, head strap, and cleaning kit with my purchase. I can't say the lens' are quite as nice as my Oakley's, but at a fraction of the cost, they're a great deal. I've had several pairs of cheap sunglasses, and these are by far my favorite. The lens' are great, they have good coverage, and have a better tint than any other pair of sunglasses i've had in this price range. If you want durable, awesome sunglasses, you are looking in the wrong price range. These are a really great value, if these only last me a year or 2, i would still order another pair. Very lightweight, too.

Great Lightweight Fitness Sunglasses, September 22, 2009
By stormn1 (Florida)

I have a difficult time finding sunglasses that fit and are comfortable even with much more expensive brands. These worked great. They are lightweight and very comfortable. Great for running or cycling. I cannot attest to their long term durability because after only two months I lost them in the ocean. But I ordered a replacement pair the same afternoon. Highly recommend them especially at this price point.

Not worth the price, June 21, 2011
By Maneesh Khare (Los Angeles, CA United States)
|
|
I needed some good sunglasses for biking so I ordered this one. The seller is particular about packing and going out of their way in packing accessories to ensure you are happy with them. I do highly recommend the seller, but the Polarized Sunglasses are flimsy and not worth the $45+ price you pay for them. My primary concern is with the lens: they are dark and appear dirty like some other users have complained - not the best for a clear view. I've worn sunglasses with polarized lenses which are much clearer. On a positive note, the frame does a good job streamlining the wind around your eyes and does not slip around even though it is very light. Do look at other products offered by the seller before buying this one.

Nothing special, June 13, 2011
By Yebo (New York, NY)
|
|
I was attracted to these for the claim that they're designed, in part, for cycling. Material still manages to get around the lenses, which aren't so big that they'd provide much more protection than other glasses. They do look good, and I'll have to take the manufacturer's word that they're polarized. I haven't noticed glare since wearing them, which is consistent with their being polarized. However, the view through the lenses isn't as crystal clear as I'd hope. It's not exactly blurry or cloudy, but somehow I expected a better overall experience, and I'm just left with an OK feeling. I feel for the $50 is too much to pay for just OK.

Black frames with Bronze Lenses, June 4, 2011
By K. Harnisch (Texas, USA)
|
|
I bought this model with the black frames and the bronze lenses. My reason for purchase was to have a pair to use while golfing. In the past, I have used my bronze lensed polarized Oakleys, but the Oakleys are rather expensive, and I wanted to purchase a less expensive pair that I wouldn't worry about ruining as much as the Oakleys. To compare these glasses with the Oakleys isn't fair (the Oakleys are almost 4 times the price), and I'm writing this review with the intentions of not doing so.
My first impression was very positive, as the seller went above and beyond expectations for shipping and packaging. Upon review of the glasses, my first thought was how light weight they are. They are VERY light, but they are also very flimsy. The frames of the glasses bend easily, and as the frames bend you can see the lenses shift as well, and they give the impression they can pop out quite easily. It is mostly because of this that the product receives only 3 stars. I live in Texas, so the average round of golf consists of plenty of sweat, and suntan lotion. This causes me to wipe down the lenses rather frequently. I was very impressed with the included zipper case and microfiber glasses pouch. I used the pouch often to clean the lenses, but felt I had to really wipe them down gently and carefully as speed and pressure of any kind appeared to dislodge the lense from the frame. Each cleaning felt like an event, and when cleaning is that frequent, an event is not something I was looking to participate in.
As far as their function, the bronze lens DOES give a white golf ball a bit more "pop," and you can tell the glasses are polarized as they do a good job at reducing the glare (almost eliminating it all together). They are not as efficient as a pair of darker lenses might be, but that's to be expected, and I purchased those lenses with the purpose of helping me see the tiny golf ball better. It does that. Having said that, I do question their durability... When they arrived, they came with plastic stickers on them advertizing they are polarized (I can't remember what the other one said... If memory serves, it was something about UV protection). While removing one of those stickers (which are easy to remove, they do not come apart, and no adhesive was used that would make it difficult to remove the stickers), I believe my fingernail scratched the lens. This tiny, tiny nick remains the only scratch on the lens, but considering how careful I felt I was in removing the sticker... Only time will tell how durable they really are.
My glasses arrived with a zipper glasses case with a hard-ish exterior that only collapses if you push on it excessively. Inside that case were the glasses inside a microfiber pouch (similar to the oakley pouch their glasses come in). An additional cleaning cloth was included, as well as two neck ropes. All of this was no additional charge from my purchase price. The seller made it quite clear they strive for a 5 star rating every time, and the seller absolutely deserves a 5 star rating for their services. Unfortunately, the glasses do not hold up to the seller's standards. I give the glasses a 3 star rating. They are not bad glasses, they are not good glasses. I think they may be a bit overpriced for what they are, but with all the accessories they come with (perhaps those accessories are included in the price), it's probably just about right. With very delicate care, I feel they have a fighting chance at holding up for a short period of time, but do not think these are the type of glasses that will give you quality for years to come.

Nice glasses, shame about the lenses, May 4, 2011
By Buyer of Stuff
|
|
I really liked the style and fit of these glasses. The frame is nice and doesn't head pinch, yet stays on well. Unfortunately, the lenses were somewhat cloudy and distorted compared to other (cheaper, non-polarized) JiMarti sunglasses I've tried. This was especially disappointing because these seem to be their flagship model, judging from their website. I ended up returning mine, and going with a less expensive model.

Great Buy, September 27, 2010
By quietbobbyman (Ellensburg, WA USA)

I am historically very hard on sunglasses and have grown tired of spending over $100 on Ray Bans, only to have them break within a year of my purchase. I was looking for a reasonably inexpensive pair of polarizing sunglasses for hunting/fishing. These are perfect for my needs. Sturdy, yet very flexible frame. Lenses pop out easily for cleaning or replacing. They are incredibly light weight. They even came with 2 different styles of necklaces to attach to frames (which I did not realize were part of the package). I could have easily paid 2-3x this for glasses of similar or inferior quality. They also come with a nice case. I am sure there are better sunglasses out there, but not for this price. I think I'll buy an extra pair or two!

Top Notch Glasses with Top Notch Customer Service, March 16, 2012
By Mary Rose (FL, USA)
|
|
As golfers in FL in the winter and boaters in the Northeast each summer, we finally found sunglasses that were reasonably priced and most importantly did the job. I purchased a pair for my husband for Christmas and he loves them. He has worn expensive designer glasses hoping for a comfortable fit. These glasses are light with a nose piece that is gentle and leaves no pressure points. Please disregard those reviews that equate light weight with flimsy. I purchased a pair for myself and sent a note back regarding a concern with a lens. With not a question asked, they sent out a new pair immediately along with a free gift. Do not hesitate to purchase from this company.

Worthless warranty, April 3, 2012
By lwk
|
|
UPDATE: Received a VERY snotty response from Jimarti sales when I tried to follow up on the lack of warranty response: "...Try that line on Oakley, or any of the other expensive brands!". Apparently since they aren't Oakley, a mere $50 for a pair of sunglasses warrants a throw-away item. I was initially disappointed with JiMarti, but after they're follow-up, I'll never buy anything from them again.
After breaking several similar Panama Jack models, one thing that drew me to Jimarti was the lifetime warranty against breakage. Unfortunately, after about 6 months, I discovered this little gem from Jimarti's customer care (after multiple attempts to contact them): "Sorry, nose and ear pieces are not covered under the lifetime warranty. Only the frame and lens. Pieces that wear out, the soft pieces on the nose and ears are not covered.".

Great cycling sunglasses, August 18, 2011
By Chappo (Albuquerque, NM)

The Tr90 frame is stylish and lightweight. The minimal frame used to hold the lens in is great as is does not obscure your view. I have used these for several days now while cycling and have not had any issues with them fogging up in the morning. The polarized lens work great. My only wish is that I could get some amber lenses to go with the dark lenses.

Great sunglasses @ a great price!, July 18, 2011

I read some of the reviews about these and ordered a pair. They're great and worth the money. I don't like to spend too much on sunglasses because I have a tendency to misplace them. These shades hold up great to wear running or cycling, they offer great sun protection for sensitive eyes and they are very light. I will order another pair when I misplace these.

Everything described about these sunglasses is absolutely true. They are super light, flexible, comfortable, affordable, and stylish. All of these factors make this product so great. The fabric and hard case is very nice, and it does not appear to be mentioned in the product details (upon the writing of this review); also, the micro fiber lens cloth is really useful for cleaning them. All around, these sunglasses are a great buy and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

I really wanted to like these glasses. The are very light but also flimsy. I could not get them to sit correctly on my face. Could just be my big mellon head! The lens seemed like they were dirty or something. Not very clear compared to my other glasses. I will not buy another pair. These will be my back ups.

Polarized sunglasses, May 24, 2010

They look nice and I suppose they do the job but I feel they cost substantially more than they are worth, even at around 35 dollars.

Very light, June 10, 2011

These are great for riding, but be careful, if you wear them up on top of your head when you go inside, you will likely forget they are there.

Great fit, use for driving, lens came out when cleaning, July 5, 2010
By GoodToBeBob (Los Angeles, California, USA)

These are light and fit well (my head is med). One of the lenses came out, a few times, fairly easily while I was cleaning them. I decided not to use them for mountain biking as I need to be able to clean them during a ride. They're great for driving.
Paid $34.95 and shipping was free. Purchased on 06-19-2010 from seller JiMarti.

On the small side, November 11, 2009

These glasses were smaller than perceived. I was disappointed in the size. The frame felt a bit too flexible but it was ok.

Surprisingly Squared Away!, May 22, 2012
By D. Fales

Pros: Very light weight Rubber legs keep glasses where they need to be Crystal clear vision Brightens everything up (Bronze lens) Paid half to a quarter of my usual Oakleys
Cons: They don't say Oakley
I think I made out extremely well. Wanted a pair of glasses for fishing/shooting/lawn mowing since I had to lay to rest a few of those. I didn't want to spend $200 on some Oakley's so I figured I'd give these a shot. The bag they come with is garbage but the case they came with is very nice. I haven't dealt with customer service yet, hope I don't have to so I can't comment on that. I will order another pair.

Extremely Pleased!, May 18, 2012
By Pulverizer

Product is very nice and I'm extremely pleased with the quality of these glasses.
After reading many reviews from extremely picky people, I would like to clear up a common misconception. People complain about the product being "flimsy." These sunglasses literally flex to fit comfortably on your face...big head or small head. Simply calling this product "flimsy" is not a correct term to use. If you want a stiff pair of sunglasses, go to your local dollar store.
The polarization is fantastic and you can feel the quality of the lenses as you use them. The glare of sun is drastically eliminated with these. These sunglasses are so light, you can barely tell they are on your face!
Overall, very happy with my purchase.

Everything I expected, April 16, 2012
By johnnyprime (MN)

These glasses are great. They have great clarity and are very comfortable on my face. I have yet to use these for fishing but I'm sure they will work fine as they are polarized. I'd say these are almost as good as my old Smith glasses (from 2002). However, I wasn't going to drop $120 on glasses now that I have 4 kids. I will buy these agin once my kids break them.
Not sure the case plus strap are needed but I'm glad I have them in case I ever get organized.
As always, the Amazon experience was great!

I bought a set of these in 2010, they were only $27, and they are lightweight plastic. I don't know why they almost doubled the price. would not pay more than $30 for these, I guess someone is getting a little greedy. that's a shame!

a little foggy lens, April 23, 2012
By L. Moon (los angeles)

so i have a very small head and this fit me well! i was surprised. I ordered silver and ended up sending it back as i did not like the color. I actually in the end order another brand as i was not too happy with the lens.. maybe cause i am use to glass? It seems a little plastic foggy looking.. but really not bad at all for the price. I almost order the same one in black.

Not bad but not great., April 6, 2012
By Bryan Mordt

All in all these weren't too bad. I was hoping for a little nice construction in terms of materials.
Pros: Light weight, decent polarized lenses and plenty of little accessories.
Cons: Pricey even at $50 and the over construction seems pretty flimsy.

Too flimsy, November 18, 2011
By CarbonBronze

I appreciate the hard & soft case, two frame landyards and cleaning cloth but it doesn't make up for the poor sunglass design. Very lightweight plastic and structure appears to be weak around the brow area. Hinge and frame easily flexes. The type of sunglasses you may see at the checkout line. I bought the Hilton Bay A77 Wrap Style sunglasses at the same time for only $19.95 and it's a much better pair of sunglasses. I bought two in different colors for the cost. My primary use will be for mountain biking and driving.

I wouldn't pay $5 for these. Utter garbage. Within 1 hour of wearing them I knew I would send them back. Don't waste your time on them.
