Excellant little discreet light, February 22, 2009

This thing stood out to me when i first saw it at a local bike shop. I've thought about it, read about it, and played with it until I bought one. I ended up enjoying it so much that I bought a second set for my gf's bike. Reason being that this light is feather weight, can attach to any part of the body and discreet. Sometimes I left it on and forgot about it but it blended into my bike's body and handle bars that no one could even tell that it was on in the first place. Brightness of the lights are fantastic. I'm not worried at all that I won't be seen. However, do not expect this light to be a torch to allow to see where you're going. This light was meant to be used as being seen, NOT to see. Keep that in mind. Battery life will last you a really long time so long as you leave it on the blinking mode. Probably would last 3-4 months on a daily use basis. I highly recommend this product!

Brilliant!, April 19, 2009

Knog Frog's the little light that makes most other little lights obsolete. Very clever, stealth, lightweight, and simple. A couple of these and some smarts should do to keep you out of harm's way. Also, since you're not tied to funky brackets, finding places to attach the Knogs is kinda fun.

A handy set of lights., October 11, 2009

The Knog Frogs do exactly what I was looking for in a set of lights: make me visible to others on the road when it's dark or foggy. The front light shouldn't be used for navigating, as it's not quite bright enough to illuminate the road, but it certainly helps when navigating a dark hallway while a bike is on your shoulder. Equipping and removing the lights from a bike takes a little getting used to, and be warned that you'll be hard-pressed to fit them on any tube with a diameter greater than that of a quarter.
I have used these lights for about 10 hours so far, so I can't speak to efficient they are.

Good for me, Good for others, July 8, 2009

I read about the Knog Frogs and tried them out, they're great. Bought some more for my bike trailer and then more for some friends. I had an extra set and found a biker leaving our club without lights and gave them to them. Now I've purchased several sets and give them to others. Everyone loves them. They work well, they're easy to put on and it keeps bikers safe, that's reason enough to buy them.

Good product and price. I had bought on at my local bike shop (more expensive) and loved it so I bought more for Christmas presents. You can use them on pretty much anything. Might fits nicely on my helmet although it did take a little time to get it wrapped around.

Feeeebull (feeble), April 6, 2011

These lights are cute, but they are overwhelmed by ambient city lights. If you really want to be seen, get real lights.
If this is all you've got, aim with care. The dinky LEDs cast a modest cone of light. If it's not shining at the windshield of the car behind you, it's useless. This is an issue because these lights can only be aimed in one plane. If it's on your seatpost, it'll be pointed slightly down because of the angle of the seatpost.
I would recommend them only as backup lights or extras in addition to something brighter. Knog makes bigger lights with similar design. Personally I don't like watch batteries in lights. They are not rechargeable and kind of expensive -- and feeble.

Not enough light, September 12, 2009

Wonderful way to easily attach and detach lights to a bike, but the light is not very strong (even for a just being seen light). Go for one with more LEDs.

Be SEEN at night, low profile, April 18, 2011

These things are great - so simple yet effective. I make sure to use the blink mode while riding my bike at night with one white unit on my handlebars and a red one on my seat post pointing backwards. I've even had cars slow down when seeing me because they thought I was a police car! Overall highly recommended for anybody who wants to be seen after dusk. There's also a 'steady light' mode which actually makes for an ok flashlight if you were in an emergency situation. I use these in the suburbs where ambient lights are few and stretches of darkness are plenty.

Its good for a normal blinking light but not good for use in city due to the other light and small power.
