With the most covered bridges west of the Rockies, Oregon has very special scenery awaiting you here and captured in late Indian summer. Get too lost in the pleasantly pastoral back roads between the bridges and you might forget they're coming - but then 'oh look here's another one!'... and you're on your way over and through another classic covered bridge. These bridges have served as river crossings, dance halls, meeting places and shelter for many decades and now they're serving another noble purpose: motivating your next cycling workout adventure through Oregon.

Ride Beautiful Country Roads and over Historic Bridges in Oregon!, November 13, 2009

This DVD makes for some great cycling through Oregon's sunny countryside which is always green and beautiful. To add to that, the ride is also highlighted by the historic covered bridges along the route, popping up now and again. Most of the time I find myself really enjoying the scenery in front of me as I'm cycling and all of a sudden there's a covered bridge taking me over a little river or creek and I'm riding straight through it (virtually of course). The bridges are an added nostalgic view of days and history gone by but really beautiful in the present. You can even stop the dvd and "look through" the windows of the bridge as you cross over it. I like the Bike-O-Vision series because the videography is excellent and they did not add any graphics on the screen to spoil my views of the country. This is another great ride that I would highly recommend and add to my collection of Bike-O-Vision rides for winter.
