May seem to be a bit loud while destroying your documents, but, they are definitely destroyed after a run through with this well built cross cut shredder! Large capacity, easy slide out basket!

Been using this for a year, but only occassionaly for documents with PII that I don't want to put in the trash. No problems taking multiple pages, and the CD shredder has worked fine the couple of times I've used it. A little noisy for a common office environment or to use in the house with nearby sleepers. Otherwise, no complaints.

I was willing to pay more to get a good shredder. I have had this one for almost two years. I never put more than 3-4 papers through at one time even though it was rated for 12 sheets. I am very disappointed with this unit. I can truthfully say that I only had to empty it three times in 2 years so I haven't used it hard. I died today. I DO NOT recommend this unit, even for light use.

SPARKS!!! Broken out of the box., December 24, 2012

Item arrived and was double boxed with no damage to the shipping container. Unit looks nice once out of the box, but when I plugged it in, sparks came shooting out of the top. The switch is broken, I found a star washer and broken bits of plastic in the basket. I have requested a refund as this item has SERIOUS consumer protection problems.

Excellent shredder! And yes, it IS whisper quiet. :0) It could have done with a handle on the side opposite of the drawer to help in getting it out or putting away, but it does its job. I am satisfied with the quality of the product. Thanks.

The worst shedder I have ever purchased. Does not let you know when its full makes of real mess. I have to clean up a lot of paper.
