 Broken online practice tests, August 04, 2015

Bought this book for the practice tests, but when I went to take them a few days before my exam, the test was broken (it's online). I called them, but they said there was nothing the could do. Once the practice tests are fixed it might be great, but in the meantime, just know you might not get them. I did almost all my studying from the 2007 Kaplan bluebook (read every word of the science sections and took 50 pages of notes). The 2015 book is longer and it's in black and white. It's probably worth the extra $30 to buy this updated version if you are reading it cover to cover, but I did fine with the older book and getting other free online resources. If you struggle in bio, the 3rd edition cliffs note AP Bio is a quick skim, cheap, and another helpful resource.

This book is good if you have time to read through it and take notes. I would consider buying it 6 months in advance. The practice tests are pretty good but not the best. I would recommend dat bootcamp for tests especially since the pat portion of this book is way too easy.

I'm giving this book 4 stars because it is a lot better than the previous edition of the Kaplan DAT (eight edition) - nevertheless, the subject reviews are STILL pretty under developed, so if anyone is looking to use this book as their sole review book for the DAT, I would suggest you find another source to supplement.
