I have had Oral-B toothbrushes for awhile and have gotten used to the brush heads and the system as a whole. This setup is quite a bit fancier than my last one, so I'll go over some improvements. The biggest difference is the light on the end of the toothbrush, automatically changes color if you're pressing too hard. It also works with your phone and can track where you brush (comes with a mirror mount for it). Unfortunately I almost never use that because I don't want to setup my phone and open the app, I much would prefer if they figured out a way to do it without using the phone camera.
The travel case is really nice, it's hard sided and has a battery in it as well for charging the tooth brush on the go. I haven't gone on vacation long enough that i've needed to bring my charger, but now I don't ever have to worry about it. It also holds a couple of brush heads securely. The only downside is because it has a battery in it, no more running it through the dishwasher. You can also use it as a backup battery, but its small and you probably already have a better one. I wish it charged via USB as well instead of a special adapter.
So this is close to perfect, when they figure out non-phone required bluetooth that auto syncs with your phone or syncs later and can track where you brushed and where you need to do better, that will be amazing.

 Does not fit the case

The charger (white wire) and black case (charges too) does not fit the toothbrush. Looks like the toothbrush is new but the chargers are for the previous models. Also this stupid idea with putting iphone on the mirror and brush your teeth in front of your iphone (you need to circle your head like on iphone X face id) is just ridiculous. It does not work.
I regret buing it. I was so escited but in reality it would be better If I went with the previous model at least my old oral b fit the case :(

I don't know if I needed to go to the level of the Pro 8000...but it does work quite nicely. I do lie using the app in conjunction with the toothbrush...although I wish that the brush would hold memory of sessions that have not been synced to the app.
I have the bad habit of brushing too hard, so we shall see if my dentist is happier with my gums after consistent use of this brush that monitors my brushing pressure.
