5.0 out of 5 stars.  A rookie tooth fairy's first night, May 13, 2009
By emma-and-me
For as long as Sally can remember she's wanted to be a tooth fairy like her mother, grandmother and great-grand mother have been. There are rules like you can't wake the child you are visiting, you must be patient and also you must use your head. When Sally turns 7 years old she can finally be a tooth fairy! Easy thought Sally and when Sally slipped inside the front door and found her map to the little girl's Sally thought this would be an easy job. Turns out the girl Sally is visiting has friends who don't believe there is a tooth fairy so she'd hidden her tooth and Sally has to go and find the missing tooth via a sorta scavenger hunt.

Cute story with a little blond tooth fairy. This would be a terrific 1st tooth fairy book that maybe could be given by the tooth fairy.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Creative and entertaining!, February 02, 2009
By Heidi Sheldon
My children (ages 5 and 3 when we bought it) both love this book and it has taken the tooth fairy experience to a whole new level in our household, including my son building Lego structures to "hide" teeth in, of course with a note to the tooth fairy explaining that the tooth is hidden somewhere. We read this book every time a new loose tooth is discovered and the planning begins! Great fun...highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  The story of Sally and her longing to be a tooth fairy, September 11, 2005
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA)
Offered at a discount to school and community libraries ($11.96), Anne Bowen's Tooth Fairy's First Night Out is the story of Sally and her longing to be a tooth fairy. As she sets off to retrieve her first tooth she knows that the most important tooth fairy rule is to never waken a sleeping child in the process. But when Sally arrives at her first house she encounters serious complications! Tooth Fairy's First Night is charmingly enhanced with the impressive illustrations of Jon Berkeley and will prove to be a very popular picturebook for young readers.
