Great for toddlers with sensitive gums from teething. May work up to 4 yrs old for sensitive kids. Too soft for older children and handle is too small.

We have always used the Preserve toothbrush, but I wanted to try these b/c the Preserve bristles only lasted about 1 month with my 3yo chewing on them. These have lasted at least twice as long with the same amount of chewing. Plus two bonuses I hadn't anticipated:
1. Their larger and rougher (read: easier to grip) handles allow my child greater control, which means better cleaning.
2. Preserve no longer has the free return recycling program for their brushes. That was the ONLY reason I had used them.

Just be careful with younger children. My 18 month old can use this brush, but he was able to split it when he bit down on it. Just be advised if you decide to use it with a child under the suggested age limit.
