5.0 out of 5 stars.  Sturdy & easy to install (can be used on Jumbos w/ adapter ), April 26, 2005
By ceekay9 (CT)
I thought that potential consumers out there would like to know that this push bar CAN be used on the Jumbo Kettrike. Like the previous reviewer, I bought the Jumbo Kettrike and yes, the push bar does not fit. However, I called Kettler USA (you can find them online) and I was told that I needed an adapter (looks like a connector of some kind made of plastic) which they sent free of charge. The instructions are a little obscure but it makes it easier when both the seat and the bucket are taken off the trike before installing the adapter. It took me less than 15 mins (I spent more time trying to understand the pictures-only instructions!). Overall, it's one of the better push bars out there. Height is adjustable and everything fits into place and there are no wobbles (assuming you put everything together properly!)

Like the kettrike this bar is made well. It does NOT fit all kettrikes - I have the Jumbo Model and it will not work.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Buy It!, July 20, 2005
By bunneegirl (Peoria, IL United States)
My MIL bought my daughter a Kettler tricycle, I believe at Toys R Us, for around $39. I was surprised and happy they make a Kettler trike in a lower price range, and it even came with a yellow bucket/trailer behind the seat for storing stuff. My daughter was 2-1/2 (she's small, too) and was not "getting" the concept of keeping her feet on the pedals, so I spent some back-breaking time leaned over, pushing her down the block on the thing so I could push and steer at the same time.

When I found out the push bar was only $16, I went for it, not even knowing if it would attach to the low-end model. IT DID!!! Right where the seat is mounted, there is a rounded-yet-triangular tubular opening, that's where the bar slides in. I was soooo impressed that all the models have interchangeable parts like that, what great design.

The best news is that within ONE DAY of me pushing my daughter with the bar (telling her to keep her feet on the pedals as I push), she was able to understand how to keep her feet on the pedals by herself and actually pedalled it herself!

The directions say not to use the bar as a lever to lift the trike at all, but I lift it all the time in order to correct my daughter's amateur attempts at steering! So far, so good.

This bar has enabled us to actually use our wonderful Kettler tricycle... it helped my daughter learn to pedal within one day, and has saved my back!

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Doesn't fit all Kettler Trikes !, May 8, 2009
By Assured Group (Dundee, IL)
This bar might be great, but be careful before buying. I bought 2 Kettler Go Green fold n'go tricycles (1 for me, 1 for the ex) fro Toys R Us, and was amazed when I opened the carton there was no pushbar. I was told it used to come with one, but no longer does (not sure if the price was reduced for no p/b though). So I searched all over the internet including Kettler's own website, to find this pushbar and read reviews saying it worked for the fold n/go's. Guess what - works for the fold n'go's, but according to Kettler customer service, not the Go Green fold n'go's. Apparently customers complained the bar that came with was not "green" like the bike, so the mfg stopped supplying it with the trike! The Go Green has a smaller opening for the bar, so this bar is too big. Only place to get a bar is Kettler direct for [...]. Have tor eturn this one. Hope I don't pay shipping!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  check it fits your trike!, February 27, 2008
By C. Hyde (San Francisco, CA)
We bought a second hand kettler trike and then this push bar from amazon, only to discover the trike we have is an older model and requires a different attachment which was only available from the Kettler parts department, so check it fit the model you have first! I gave it 5 stars cause when you get the right one for your trike it works like a dream!

3.0 out of 5 stars.  PUSH BAR DOES NOT FIT ALL KETTLER TRIKES, January 20, 2006
By Grandma D. (Troy,MI)
F.Y.I. After waiting 2 months for this PUSH BAR to arrive, I discovered that it doesn't work on the EX KIDDIO SUPERTRIKE 1 model #8142-899C M.D.0605V1. 'Called Kettler to find that there isn't an adapter for the EX KIDDIO available...somewhat disappointing since the PUSH BAR would probably be nice to have-(less back strain during the "learning phase")! 'Have to return the "already assembled" trike for a much more expensive one-or return the long-awaited PUSH BAR!

3.0 out of 5 stars.  False advertising by Amazon, March 3, 2010
By Heather C (Orlando, FL)
I have no issue with the actual pushbar itself...I think it's great, and all the Kettler products are very sturdy & well worth the money. HOWEVER, what Amazon does not tell you is that this pushbar is only compatible with Kettler trikes manufactured after 2003! I learned the hard way, by purchasing it & having to call Kettler USA's customer service dept when I couldn't figure out how to attach the pushbar. Very disappointed that Amazon fails to advertise this. I want to make sure others don't make the same mistake!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Works with Kettler Go Green Trike, March 7, 2009
By Mommy to a Princess & a Baby (NY, USA)
Works great with the go green trike. I love the handle because it totally saves my back as I push my daughter around on her trike. The 4 positions of the push bar is great too because I can use it (I am 5'4) and my husband can too (he is 6'5)

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Make sure you have check the the trike model before making purchase!, September 19, 2008
By K. Chen (CA)
Pushbar is a good feature to add on!

It's best to get the Kettler pushbar directly from Kettler 800 number as they do have different push bar for different model/year of Kettler trike. The cost may end up to be similar as you order online and the pushbar takes apx 3-6 business day to arrive.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great product!, May 23, 2005
By Momsey (Midwest USA)
Great product, well made, sturdy and secure. You have to remove the seat, then install the base of the push bar - very simple.
We bought it for a Kiddio Supertrike, it fits perfectly. However the screw that secures the base to the trike frame is way too long. We added 5 extra washers to it, that solved the problem.
The bar snaps into the base and comes out with a push of a button. I love this feature as we frequently add and remove the push bar, depending on which one of our children rides the trike. Overall we are pleased with the product - the little trikes should really come with it to begin with.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Kettrike Blossom Tricycle & PushBar...., January 6, 2007
By Gringa Alvarez (Fort Lauderdale, FL)
Amazon sells this pushbar with the Kettrike Blossom Tricycle in the "Better Together" section. The pushbar description states "Ideal when used with a trike with a Parental Control Steering Lock System (locks handlebars into place for parental guidance and steering with pushbar) and Auto-Freewheel (allows child to rest feet on the pedals while parent guides with push bar)." FYI: the Parental Control and Auto-Freewheel are not additional components you can purchase. The tricycle either has it or it doesn't- the Blossom doesn't. I believe our 19 month daughter will enjoy this tricycle more in the future but at her age it would have been nice to have these additional features which are built into the pricier models.

In response to the posted comment someone left below: if these features aren't add-ons then they shouldn't be selling this item "together" with a model that doesn't have it at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  perfect!, May 24, 2011
By 2009MOM
This pushbar fit my sons Kettler Go Green tricycle perfectly! I had read some reviews that said it didn't, but decided to take a chance and it fits! I highly recommend this to anyone who has a toddler that loves their trike but can't fully pedal yet.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Works ok, steering is difficult, September 17, 2009
By David Flosser
This is a nice option for the Kettler tricycle, allowing adults to push toddlers who are not old enough to pedal on their own. Steering is difficult for the adult pushing the toddler.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Built Strong, February 2, 2009
By Chris H. (Eastern PA)
Not much to say here other than it delivers on its name. My only other comment is that if you're ordering a tricycle along with this pushbar, make sure that you know if your tricycle already comes with a pushbar. In any case, it comes in multiple pieces so you will need to assemble the handle and the tubular steel sections.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  didn't receive all parts, January 18, 2007
By M. Weissinger (Cypress, TX United States)
I really cannot review as when I ordered it - it did not come with all the necessary hardware to put it together - I contacted the seller who told me that Kettler would need to send me the parts and that they have been contacted. Still waiting to put this Christmas gift together....
