5.0 out of 5 stars.  Works great...saves space, March 28, 2006
By Traveler (Del Mar, CA)
The verticle bike rack works great. Holds my bikes securely...and saves garage storage space. After looking at all the bike storage solutions...this is the best choice. Those gravity bike racks eat up too much garage space as the bikes are still horizontal. Hanging it from the ceiling is not good as it sways and not all that secure. Bike rack on the ground is not good as it is just as good as using a kickstand.

I was able to mount two bikes to the wall...where the two racks are 15" apart. Total space used for both bikes is less than three feet.

After looking at other vertical racks...this is the most well constructed.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Worthless for Mountain Bikes, August 27, 2008
By Carleton Wu (Colorado, United States)
Agree with the other reviewer who noted that- despite claiming to fit all size tires- this product does not work with mountain bikes.
Also, the screws are cheap, so when I tried to remove it from my wall I ended up having to drill the heads off of the screws.

Maybe this works great for road bikes. But Delta's advertising claims are crap, and I doubt Ill buy anything made by them again since I won't know if it will work as advertised or not.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  good product except one flaw., June 13, 2007
By Nila Bhatia (lake forest, ca)
its not wide enough to fit a mountain bike tire. i got a shiny new mountain bike and it wouldnt fit.

i put my old hybrid bike on it, and the product works well, but i would not have bought it beforehand knowing it wouldnt fit my bike. my hybrid bike has a kickstand.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  I have five of these lined up on the wall, June 19, 2009
By cachehiker (Hyde Park, UT USA)
I've been a part-time bike commuter and charity rider for years and only recently bought a house. Having a garage was my number one priority as I was sick of moving bikes in and out of the storage shed. I also had to leave my primary commuter on the front porch only partially sheltered from the rain. I always wanted a decent commuter too but was always afraid of its being a target for theft.

Immediately after moving in, I started putting these up two at a time with every other one about a foot or so offset from the others. As soon as I had an open hook, I started building my dream commuter too (Whoo-hoo!) The three lightest bikes hang along the upper row and the full suspension bike and the touring bike hang a little lower to keep the handlebars and cables from getting tangled.

Take a cue from how bike shops store their bikes. I have five bikes taking up just 6 feet of wall space. There's room underneath to store the camp stove, grill, lantern, etc. that I don't like to keep inside the house as well. The only drawback is having to lift a heavy bike up high and onto the hook (Mal-Wart shoppers beware!)

As far as the earlier mention that it wouldn't handle mountain bikes, I have no trouble fitting 2.25" tires in there. If you're a downhill fanatic on 2.5" swamp monsters, your doctor has in all likelihood advised you to stop riding that way anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Small item makes a BIG difference, March 3, 2008
By gidget (Bethesda, MD United States)
Great addition to any bikers apartment. My mountain bike is much happier mounted on my wall during the off season.
NOTE: Make sure to also buy the davinci tire tray with this.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Product, May 12, 2007
By Bryan Prendergast (Chicago, IL USA)
This bike hook has been great. It was very easy to install (2 screws) with the help of a stud finder. It holds the bikes securely and neatly to the wall of our apartment. My bike weighs in at about 25 pounds, and the product has not warped or changed in any way. We also get lots of complements from friends about how nice the product looks.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Well made.........but, not good for me., May 5, 2008
By P. KAIN
This is a well made product. Only downside for me is it's made for mounting some ways up the sidewall of your garage requiring effort....perhaps, difficult for some......to either mount the bike in place or retrieve it for use. And remember....once the bike is in place, it sticks out some ways from the wall quite possibly resulting in loss of valuable horizontal space in your garage. Personally, if you have adequate wall space, I think hangers that allow one to secure the bike flat "against" the wall is preferable to this type.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Works just like it says, February 24, 2011
By JC (SoCal)
Works great hanging a almost any bike from the wall. It wont hang anything with fat tires on it, also dont hang it to high because when you do this the tires will roll down a little and get caught up in the spokes. So pay attention when you take the bike off the rack or you could damage your spokes.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  More than just a hook, September 29, 2009
By Paul G. Flynn
Ive been hang bikes on hooks a long, long time and tried these because they would look better and not leave as large a hole when done. Wow, wish I had know about these before. +++++

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Good quality product, good price, April 23, 2011
By Chad Zdenek
I installed three of these in my garage for road bike and two mountain bikes. They work well and the spacing on 16" studs is good for alternating bikes. Only suggestion is to not use the mounting hardware that it comes with. I don't think it would last over time simply using the drywall anchors. I used 3" deck screws into the studs and it's solid. Good luck, get out and ride!

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Return, March 13, 2011
By April Silver (Los Angeles, CA USA)
I ordered my boyfriend and I each a Delta Leonardo Single-Bike Rack priced $13.46 each and free super saver shipping to support our beach cruisers and preserve space in our kitchen. The Delta Leonardo Single-Bike Rack do not support a beach cruiser. The welding of metal on the Delta Leonardo Single-Bike Racks appear sloppily made. One set of screws were not included with the two Delta Leonardo Single-Bike Racks.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Bigger than it looks, October 8, 2010
By Zig Schwartz (Boston, MA)
This is larger than it looks and didn't on the beam in my garage. There are smaller hooks out there that do exactly the same thing. Keep this in mind if younger working In a tight space.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Does not fit mountain bikes, August 28, 2011
By cendrizzi
Bought four of these (2 mountain, 2 road). Fits the road great, but not the mountain. I have had to deflate the mountain bike tires to get them to fit. Very misleading on the part of the manufacturer.
