5.0 out of 5 stars.  excellent bike rack, September 10, 2006
By BrooklynNY (NY)
it fit my 18" Trek mountain bike perfectly, and I believe it will fit most (if not all) bicycles. the attachments are very secure on my bicycle, i'm almost tempted to sit on it. No doubt it can carry a heavy weight. Great find at $14.99! I don't know how i feel about buying it for $28 though.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  delta rear pannier, March 9, 2007
By short round (waupaca, wi USA)
i love the ease of installation. options for either a seat-post mount or seat-stay mount (my choice) and it fitted my fuji 'nevada' perfectly---all screws were proper thread-sizes and no parts had to be forced or bent to fit. nice finish and rock-solid. highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  good rack at a great price, February 18, 2006
By M. Krauze
If you want to mount it on a mountain bike (gary fisher) like in my case, it takes some time to really fix it well but once you find the right position to fix it, it's a great rack to carry small things.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Too small for my bike, December 11, 2007
By August Spies (Los Angeles, California)
Bah! It didn't fit my bike. I ride a 26" Raleigh 4.0 and it didn't fit. Even if it had fit though it wasn't nearly long enough, covering maybe 3/5 of my rear tire with part of it clashing with my seat. I knew I was making a mistake ordering a rear bike rack over the internet. This is the kind of thing best bought at a shop where you'll know on sight if it'll fit.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice rack...cheap hardware, August 17, 2011
By boltbusterdw
I bought this rack to mount on my 1987 American made Schwinn Traveler. I mounted the rack to my seat stays. I ordered seat stay clamps since my bike did not have the braze on ones. The hardware kit did include some plastic ones but they were for a much bigger diameter stay. It also included rubber shim material to adapt it down for smaller stays but I was glad I bought the proper sized ones. There is a welded section where the 2 seat stay arms attach to the rack. In order to keep the arms from bending around this welded section once the bolts tighten up, I had to make a shim and mount it underneath the rack between the arms and the rack, this allowed clearance for the welded section. Another option would of been to grind the weld, but then It would require touch up paint. If the factory would have done that BEFORE painting, and spent a few more cents for stainless hardware instead of the "weather resistant" plated steel and included a few more washers, I would of rated it 5 stars...but even though I have a clean installation, and the rack is well built I'm only giving it a 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Solid build, great price, December 21, 2006
By jwangamazon (San Jose, CA)
This rear rack is pretty solid and easy to be installed onto my bike. It meets my expectation.
I got this from Amazon for $4.39. With this price (such a great price), I really has nothing to complain.
Being happy with this purchase, I give it 5 starts.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  A hit!, September 13, 2011

I bought this item as a birthday gift for my adult son, who is veteran urban biker with high standards. He was thrilled to receive it and rates it "a hit"!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  lightweight rack, March 15, 2010
By K. Dresang (Madison, WI USA)
This is rack is super light. I made it work for my recumbent bike. I attach my lunch box with a bungie cargo net for commuting to work. My lunch does take a beating riding over rough roads though. When I ride with my wife, I attach a bicycle bag. There is a place on the rear which I have put a light for better visibility. I have a 27" tire & a fender on the rear with no fitting issues. I would buy it again if I need one.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Fit my TREK - I'm happy!, October 23, 2009
By FLDonna (Tampa, Florida USA)
I needed a bike rack and it was painful trying to choose something. So many are available. I saw a review on this rack 'fit my 18" Trek perfectly' and I ordered this rack. I have an 18" Trek and it DID fit perfectly and the screws all fit. It is lightweight and VERY sturdy. I don't have 'saddle bags' so I don't have any issues I just use a bungee cord to carry what I need on top of the rack. Looks nice and I am very happy with my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Rack, February 16, 2009
By Photographer Phanatic (Atlanta)
Looking for the solution for too few hands while peddling? This is the answer and a very solid, good one at that. Just add bunggies or bag.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Banging my feet!, November 30, 2007
By bikeman
Paid about $25 from REI and will have to return. Not easy to install on my GT mountain bike and sits so close to my tire that my feet bang into my bags constantly. There is no way to adjust it any further and took some serious rigging just to get it to attach. It does seem sturdy but if I have to return it, I think it says it all.
