 Lots of colors, not lots of thread, June 9, 2007

If you expected a large quantity of thread for under $5, I've got a bridge just for you! But if you are in need of a lot of colors for small projects, then this is a deal with 32 different colors to choose from. As far as the bobbins, remember that some sewing machines are quite selective as to what works, so these generic bobbins might not work.

I was hoping this was a kit type box but comes in a small box with cardboard spools and the box is well packed until you remove any thing.
Good for starter kit

I wouldn't have bought this item if I had noticed the shipping was 64% of the price!!! I bought this item among other items from Amazon so I didn't notice the shipping cost until later. On top of that, it took 13 days to receive!

The thread breaks alot so I'm reasonably sure it's cheap. The bobbins have a lot more thread on them than the spools. so transferring might be needed. It's neat having lots of colors though.

 Good Idea but CHEAP, FLIMSY packaging., December 9, 2010

This item turned out to be much more flimsy and cheap looking than I thought when viewed online. The selection of colors was fine. But to be able to store all these items and keep them in any kind of order is next to impossible. The flimsy plastic case should be made of a stronger and stiffer material with a fold-over cover that clicks into place. There is nothing but "paper-like" plastic to hold all the items in place. When one is removed the threads next to them easily fall out of place.

Exactly as advertised works well, thread is decent quality. If you have a better way to store the thread do so because it comes in a cheap plastic holder.

As promised, it gives many colors of threads. As the other reviewer said, not very much there but enough for periodic mending needs. Minus one star for the amount of thread given.

Very poor quality threads, September 18, 2011

This product that was delivered after a long wait is of very poor quality.
The thread snaps easily. The packaging looks good in the photograph, but the tray is made of very flimsy plastic unsuitable for regular use. I have to store the threads and bobbins in a separate box which makes colour matching with the bobbins difficult. Overall, not a reliable product.

I like the array and amount of spools of thread but there's not much thread per spool. Not having to thread bobbins and the amount of time saved doing this made this product worth the purchase. The box it came in is flimsy at best.

i had gotten this to go with the hand held sewing machine i also got. i didn't know that the machine came with some thread already. it is nice to have more on hand whenever i need it. this is a great addition for anyone who does any type of sewing, by hand or machine.

This item turned out to be much more flimsy and cheap thank I was expecting. The selection of colors was fine. However, not a lot of thread on the spools and the bobbins are spun sloppy. In addition, the shipping was almost as much as the kit.
