5.0 out of 5 stars.  Perfect for commuting, February 29, 2008
By T. Quinlan (Charlotte, NC)
I ride my bike to work. It's an eight mile ride so I don't change clothes, I just bike in with whatever I'm wearing to the office. I wear dress shoes and these clips really allow me climb hills without scuffing or wearing out my nice shoes. I find that I'm also able step out of these at a red light with ease.
They only took a few minutes to attach to my pedals. I've been using them for about eight weeks with no trouble.
When I'm really climbing, I can feel the flex of the plastic. This doesn't present a problem for me, but I suspect a serious mountain biker would probably want something more rigid. But for riding to work; these are a great fit.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great for commuting, and urban cycling., June 26, 2009
By Jeffriey (new york, ny)
I started biking again 2 months ago. When I bought my Trek bike it came with a set of Crank Bros Eggbeaters, which I didn't find practical for NYC urban riding. The first thing is that you have to make sure you have platform pedals with the proper screw holes which will allow you to install these clips. I bought a pair of MKS Sylvan Touring Pedals from Amazon.com and I'm very satisfied.

As soon as I put my feet inside the clips I could feel a difference. Yes, it does help you a lot when you pedaling. My pattern is now more uniform, and I'm inputting energy whether I'm pushing the pedal down or pulling up. It's very easy to take my feet out of them too, which is very importing if you bike in a area like NYC. It took me less than a few minutes to learn how to insert my feet in the clips and although this was my first ride with them I can do it without even looking down most times.

Also, I keep my right foot in when I have to stop and only take my left foot out, when it's time to start pedaling again I then insert my left foot. The good things is that if you have two-sided platform pedals when can pedal on the opposite side of the pedal just to get you going, and once you're moving again then you can proceed to insert your foot, so yes, very easy to use, and they do give you more speed.

If you do pedal on the the side opposite to the clips, do not do it on a curve, as you will scratch them against the pavement.

On this ride I was wearing sneakers, but I also put on my dressy shows size 10 (USA) while I was at home and didn't have any problem doing any of the things that I mentioned above.

In regards to the quality. The pedals are plastic, I just got them but they feel pretty sturdy to me, so I don't think they're easily breakable, and they're also very cheap.

One last thing. I wouldn't say that these are beginner clips. I know that some people that have expensive road bikes and wear spandex might think these clips are garbage, but they're for a different purpose. A lot of us are not interested in getting clipless pedals and clips with straps because we're practical riders.

I also have a review on the MKS Sylvan Touring Pedal Double Sided.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Item - Great Value, December 18, 2007
By Michael L. Wilson
These clips are great - very easy to install. The provided hardware makes them fit just about any pedal, and are adjustable in and out so your feet clear the cranks. You cant beat them for the price, and I find them far superior to the older strap style.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Good stuff, October 26, 2007
By Elton Huang (Los Angeles)
Easy to install and use. Helps your feet to bite on the pedal so as to pull up effectively. Hence increases pedaling performance. Compared to the advanced types, this entry level one is easier to get off too.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Won't work with mountain bike reflector pedals, June 22, 2008
By Parent (Calif., USA)
These might be easy to install - if you have the right pedals. If your pedals have reflectors both front and back - and no pair of drill holes front or back - you won't be able to install them. I have three bikes - all various sizes of kids mountain bikes, including a 24/26 in one - and they all have the same dual reflector pedals.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Pretty much worthless., March 28, 2010
By Dave F. (Columbus, Ohio USA)
I thought these would be a great addition to my commuter. I ended up removing them after one ride. These might be fine if you have tiny feet, but I found them to not fit my size 12s as they flexed and bent. They are now in my junk box, however I may screw them to the wall and use them as tool hangers.

I was quite underwhelmed.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Toe clips are OK, May 19, 2009
By E. Weisser (New Jersey)
Bought these for my Trek hybrid bicycle. No installation instructions are included, nor are they on the Delta website. Since my pedals have slide out reflectors on both sides, needed to drill my own holes in the pedals to mount. Since they now recess into the pedal a bit, I can't really position my foot comfortably. With sneakers, they also tend to crush the toes a bit. Not sure if there's anything better, guess I'll manage for now.

I use these clips for commuting and it's great. You can easly clip off when your waiting on a traffic signal and clip on when riding. I recommend this for commuting but not for racing or riding on a rough road.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very good, April 2, 2009

I put these on a pair of new pedals also purchased through Amazon. Love these toe clips. Fairly easy to get used to putting the feet into them when getting going. They help make more power since you can pull up on the pedals now. Would recommend this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Exactly what they look like, September 5, 2008
By Jean
Less secure then Toe Clips with straps, but cheaper and easier to get in and out of. Really helps in positioning the foot, and provides some return on the up-stroke of the peddle. If what you are doing is quick trips where mounting and dismounting the bicycle occurs often, then these are for you. If you are starting to stretch out your distance, then perhaps Toe Clips with straps (or even clip-less peddles) are right for you (but be prepared to pay more for those options).

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Delta Bicycle Strapless Toe Clips, April 5, 2011
By Birdlegs (Sacramento)
Bought these for the MKS Sylvan Double Sided Touring Pedals. Adapter plates are provided, but not needed on this pedal as the holes line up perfectly. They are mounted on a Schwinn Midmoor bike which I ride on the beautiful 30 mile long American River Bike trail here in Sacramento. The bike trail is completely separated from the road and parallels the American River from downtown Sacramento to Folsom Lake. There is even a turnout overlooking Folsom Prison on this trail for Johnny Cash fans. But I digress.

For me these strapless clips work well. I tried Power Straps, but found them a little fussy to get in and out of, although they might work for someone else. I find these strapless clips are easy to get in and out of, and do enable the rider to get some power into the upstroke. Not as much as the clip-in pedals or toe clips with straps, but I am not Greg LeMond or Lance Armstrong with spandex multi-coloured tights, frog legs, and a $5000 dollar carbon fiber bike. These Delta Clips work fine for a casual rider like me on a recreational bike trail. I rate them four stars instead of five, because they are just barely big enough for my men's size 11 New Balance trail running shoes. I doubt if they would fit size 12 or larger.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Does what it says on the box, November 24, 2008
By David Lindop (Redondo Beach, CA United States)
Great set of toeclips for the commuter or casual rider, that keep your foot correctly placed on the pedal for the most efficient action. Certainly uphill peddling is made a little easier, as the rider can give a little pull to the pedal on the upstroke as well as a good non-slip push on the down. You serious mountain bikers may want something more "robust".
Plenty of hardware for fitting, though some stock pedals may not have the correct holes in them, (to me that's the fault of cheap stock pedals, not the fault of this product).
Easy to slip in and out of, so no problems at traffic lights.
Recommended.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Great ... if your big toe is the same size as your little toe, October 4, 2009

They do what they are supposed to, but they are symmetrical while most feet are not. On the big-toe side, your foot will be smushed, and the little-toe side, too loose.

They allow you to use your legs (pistons) on the upstroke, as well. They keep your feet on the pedals, when you're charging hard and with no straps, let you put your foot on the ground in a hurry, as needs be.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Beware!, July 31, 2009
By D. Alvarez
I'm a newbie to competitive cycling. Seeking an alternative to clip-in shoes, I bought these. Didn't fit my bike! I thought these things were universal fit, but apparently not. Product description did not warn of such thing, and does not have any sort of measurement chart to see if it fits your bike. No instructions. Very disappointed because they look like a good product but can't use it!

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Strapless toe clips, May 8, 2010
By coach (nampa, id)
I purchased a pair of these clips, and am disappointed. They are a little too small for my large foot. Which ever shoe I wear, the toes don't go all the way into the clip, and it's very uncomfortable. I'm sure for someone who has a smaller foot, they would work fine.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  I Agree with the Three Previous 1-star Reviews, June 27, 2011
By Validate Your Life (Earth (at times)
No directions, didn't fit bike pedals. The "plastic" may be useful elsewhere.

Normally no directions is okay but when I couldn't install them, this was odd. Besides, most items have directions in 10 different languages. What product lacks ANY (there were ZERO directions). Shampoo has frickin' directions. The most ridiculous things have directions. Preposterous these had no directions nor specs. What were these imbeciles thinking? They just (erroneously) assume they'll work for all bike pedals? Very sloppy and unprofessional they didn't even denote which pedals they'll work for and which ones they won't.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  where's the instructions???, July 10, 2009
By Steeler Steve (Illinois)
much to my disgust; for something that seemingly was suppossed to be so easy to install, due to there being absolutely no instructions (or picture guides), i am forced to take my bike to a shop 10 miles away in order for them to install them? i feel like an idiot? i have a degree in architecture, and 25 years experience in civil engineering :)! per an earlier review, my reflectors will also need to be slid out, and then have holes drilled into he pedal. not exactly what i had in mind when i purchased this item? for the most part i've been pleased with my pacific gray bicycle, but have experienced on many occassions "shifting-of-gears" without my doing so? this too can be slightly dangerous. however; the color combo of blue and gold are exceptional! additionally; i have bolted on a tire pump...a water bottle...a combo headlight/flasher...small back carrier bag...and a considerably more comfy schwinn bicycle seat. thank you, and i hope i have been of some help? steelersteve

5.0 out of 5 stars.  4 years of year round cycling and still going strong!, September 6, 2011
By repto (Blue Island, IL USA)
Toe clips are nice for improving pedal efficiency which is why I wanted a pair. I bought these because they are inexpensive, and I honestly wasn't sure what type of clip I wanted to put on my workhorse bicycle. Most toe clips have straps, which I find a pain in the butt for my style of commuting. They rot. They break. They make it hard for commuter riding because you are always getting caught up in them when trying to put your foot down at lights and stop signs. One of the best things about these clips is that there are NO straps you have to worry about! Sure, I could go with techie clipless pedals, but I like the freedom of being able to have clips while at the same time being able to wear any shoe that I want. I don't like having to dump $50 on clipless pedals followed by $100+ for special foot gear that I'm trapped into wearing whenever I want to ride my bike.

These top clips are easy-peasy to step out of at traffic lights, etc. I find that I slide my feet into them almost all the time that I ride; it's so intuitive for me that I don't even consciously do it anymore. Another wonderful feature: I can wear any shoes that I want including monster "mickey mouse" boots that I wear in the dead of winter AND dress pumps when I'm going to the ballet or symphony. You can't do that with clipless pedals!

They attach best to standard platform pedals with a couple of screws. It takes about 5 minutes to mount them. Make sure you really tighten the screws as I lost one of them within about 2 months of first installing them and had to replace it at the hardware store. I retightened all attachment points good and tight and have never had a problem since.

You can choose to ride without the clips, in which case they will hang below the regular pedals (Note: sometimes they drag on the road when your pedal is in the downstroke [like when making a turn]).

I bought these at least 4 years ago. I put them on my beast bike... the bike that I ride 95% of the time, in all road conditions, year round, in the Chicago area. Yes, they are made of plastic, but they have put up with the most ungodly abuse and are still going strong. I bike commute to run most of my errands, to get my kids to school and to get to meetings, etc. I do the grocery shopping for a family of 5 (including 2 teens) with this bike. This *particular* pair of toe clips help to make that possible by improving my cycling experience every time I get on my bike.

I'm writing this review because I recently got a speedy road bike and I want to put them on that bike as well. I was actively hunting for THESE toe clips, and thought, well heck, I've got a lot of experience with them, I should give a testamonial. How great that you can spend under $10 and get a highly functional set of toe clips!

FYI--
I'm a mom to 3 kids (ages 14-8). I ride everywhere I can and I frequently take my bike on the commuter train to expand my range. I ride year round. I wear a size 10 shoe (size 8 mens); my winter snow boots are size 9 mens and are HUGE hunting-style monstrosities--but they still fit these clips.

Tips to be a year round cyclist--

1. get fenders!
2. get lights (esp. headlights--it's the law in most states) and put reflective tape all over your bike
3. get a rack and panniers
4. get a really good pair of windproof gloves
5. consider getting a really warm pair of waterproof boots

Check out bikewinter.org for tips and tricks.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice product...good price., July 28, 2008
By gtimpe (Indianapolis, IN USA)
I found this toe clip to be a nice transition from flat pedals to clipless pedals. I have clipless pedals, but am not fond of wearing them when I'm out in any kind of traffic. I found these strapless toe clip easy to use (foot entry and exit when starting/stopping), easy to install and an all around good value. I felt safer in these than having my foot locked to the pedal. Personally, I think these work as well as the full strap toe clips, but are a LOT easier to get into when riding.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Had to drill holes in my pedals to install, February 7, 2011

There were no instructions.
My pedals had reflectors where the installation bolts had to go. I removed the reflectors and drilled holes to allow the bolts in.
Once installed and after some angle adjustments, they were fine. There is a little more play than I would like, but it also means your feet can come out easily with little danger of a slow speed keel-over.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Just Toe and Go, September 12, 2011
By nick
I had these on for 5 minutes and knew I'd be keeping them on. That after removing the strapped clips I had and then riding with just peddle. The strapped clips were just too cumbersome for for my 18 mile round trip commute. These took a bit getting use to, you have to toe em back, rotate em from the ball of your foot then slide it in. After a while it becomes a reflex, like anything else. They provide a substantial benefit when you on hills or just pouring it on. Your just engaging more muscle than you can with just the pedal, by getting some lift. Is it possible to engage even more with straps, or clip-less yes, of course, but these are easy and convenient. I like em and I'll replace em when I have too. They seem sturdy enough. I have had them on for about a month, maybe about 500 miles of wear. They do get buffed on the ground routinely, but so far are holding up well. No real apparent damage. Based on current wear I bet I get over a year out of them, probably more. For what they are I couldn't recommend a way to make them better, so for what they are they get 5 stars. Seriously though if you are a guy bigger than size 11 or if your biking and hiking and wearing boots, you may want something bigger. These seem to only come in the one size.

Delta Bicycle Strapless Toe Clips These seem a bit sturdier built than the Zefal's but the Zefal's are a bit more comfortable ( bought both since I couldn't decide). It's a toss up as to which one is better but since I have three bikes I can keep a pair of each on two bikes and deliberate later. Time will tell. But up till now I like them both. Not as secure as strapped clips but for the street their a quick release. Beats pedaling in a horizontal position. For the price give them a whirl and if you don't like them, gift them. Their not dangerous at all .

4.0 out of 5 stars.  cheap alternative, July 29, 2011
By MP (Malibu, California United States)
I wasn't ready to commit to clip-in shoes and pedals, so I decided to give these a try. I am very glad I did! It makes my trail riding much more effective, though I have to warn you that your quads might be a bit sore after the first few rides, as I think the upward pedaling really maximizes your leg use. Dropped a star, because they can be a bit tricky to slip your second foot into when you start off. I've knocked them into a couple rocks and logs on my rides, and they have stood up to the elements so far.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good but no directions, July 22, 2011
By Old Rider
Somebody else mentioned that there are no directions. I guess there aren't too many ways these things could go on. But most cheaper pedals have reflectors front and back, so I don't think these will work unless you drill through the reflector to mount them. There are bolts included to attach the clip to a small metal plate that I assume then is attached to the front edge of the pedal. Amazonneeds to get the manufacturer to add instructions. But the clips look good, and they are a good idea, and they shipped in just 3 days. So.....you may have to to some modification to get them to work, but it might be worth it.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Plastic is all I should have to say, July 3, 2011
By gailmarie
I am not a hard-core cyclist and bought these because I couldn't get the hang of cleats and the toe clips that came on my bicycle kept crushing closed instead of giving access to my toe. For the first 50 miles or so, these were perfect. Yesterday one of the clips literally fell off the pedal. I went back to retrieve it and saw that the opening for the screw had cracked open and then it had worked off the other screw. It was only at that point I realized that the screws provided for the mount had heads that were too small, as the clip that was still on the other pedal showed signs of the screw heads coming loose and wearing through as well. There's really not enough room for adding large washers to both sides, but if you get these look carefully at the mounting hardware and use the largest head screw that will fit on one side and the largest washer (and probably a lock washer, too, if there's adequate screw length). Even then, if you're in and out of these a lot, it may not be enough. Back to the drawing board for me....

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Versatile and easy, July 3, 2011
By Mom of 3 (Northeast US)
I was too chicken to try full clips, but since most of my rides are 12-15 miles, I was tempted to try these. I knew my MTB had clip-ready pedals, so installing them was easy. I really like the clips - keep my feet in the right place, allow some pressure on the upstroke, and easy to get out of fast (my biggest concern). I think I'm ready to try regular clips (can't stand the idea of dedicated bike shoes yet), and these toe clips will get passed on to someone else in the family.

If you're not looking to spend a lot on toe clips, these are the way to go. They are cheap-ish plastic but I think they hold up just fine, are easy to install and get the job done! My feet fit fine (women's size 10-11) and I have no trouble getting in or out of them.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  it is okay, but need thin shoes to use with it, June 8, 2011
By Borello (USA)
It is okay. It works, if you use thin soled shoes. Otherwise, it will not fit right and your toes will get numb.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Not for me ,, March 26, 2011
By Ben Bloom
I bought these for my spare ATB , and the cage height is far too short to accommodate the toes of my size 10 riding boots. Might work for sneakers or dainty little riding shoes , but if you wear a hiking boot for offroad cycling like I do , avoid these. I have some old Specialized toe clips of a similar design , and they are plenty tall enough to accommodate my boots , so I guess these will go into the "unused/unsuitable" bin....

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Delta Bicycle Strapless Yoe Clips, July 23, 2010
By PeterGo
The toe clips are made from tough polythene and appear to be very durable. I
recommend them highly.

The width allowed for inserting the toe of the shoe is not wide enough for
Shimono road touring shoes and I modified them slightly with a heat gun.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Convenient, July 14, 2010
By Nicole Kern
These clips are easy to install and easy to use. My old metal clips would scrape the ground when the pedals were flipped upside down, but these are lower profile so you don't need to have both feet in immediately unless you're turning sharply. They do flex when pulling on them, but still transmit torque on the up-stroke, so for me it's a good compromise between function and convenience.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  pedal clips, May 20, 2010
By Michael Feldman (SHREVEPORT, LA, US)
I had to modify my pedals slightly for the clips to fit. If you're handy this will be no problem.
These clips are an intermediary step to the more advanced (and expensive) shoes and clips that bikers usually move up to.
I do believe they are helping me ride faster.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great low cost product, May 19, 2010
By kdl
After reading the reviews I was confident this product would suit my needs. Set up was easy and the learning curve for using the clips is very little. Great product at a great price.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great for recreational use, May 6, 2010
By Sergei (Boston, MA)
These clips are a great alternative to straps, mostly because it is much easier to take the foot off the pedal quickly. They cannot compare with clipless systems (SPD, etc.) in terms of performance, but for recreational use they are definitely worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Inexpensive, adequate for using with indoor trainer, May 3, 2010

The toe clips provide easy and firm grip to pedals while using an indoor bike trainer. Sturdy and very easy to install.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  a little hard to install, November 27, 2009
By Bob (Conn.)
These seem okay, But there is no instructions with these, I had to figure it out myself and then had to drill holes into my pedals.. They fit okay now but I would spend the extra money and have my local bike shop do it for me next time purchasing theirs.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Too flexible, September 12, 2009
By Tarasso (Austin, Tx USA)
Just wanted to try some inexpensive clips out and these clips proved to be just that - they are way too flexible to be truly useful. I thought the plastic would be a bit more rigid.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Watch the Clearance Clarance!, August 10, 2009
By A. Vega (California, USA)
These Strapless Toe Clips worked great when I first installed them on my road bike that was currently on my trainer. When I took my bike off the trainer, it was then I found out I had clearance issues with the back of my front tire when turning while pedaling. I know the two ribs on the toe clips are there to keep them from flexing so I can't "modify" them. You may not have this problem. Overall they worked fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Work better than expected for plastic, July 24, 2009
By DCwom
These were the first clips I've ever tried and was a bit skeptical about the plastic but for the price I took a chance. These are good for a cheap experiment to see if you like being attached to your pedals before going to the clip less flavor with the cleats and shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Toe Clips, July 18, 2009
By William T. Morse
Whats not to like? Inexpensive, easy to install, and work perfectly! I wanted something to hold my feet more securely on the pedal and allow me to get more power during my ride. I also wanted to be able to get my feet in and out of them quickly...something not always easy to do when you have straps to contend with. These clips fill the bill!!

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Kinda tight for my size 11 foot, September 2, 2008
By D. Dalessio (Walpole, MA United States)
These work well enough as described, but they were kind of tight for my size 11 foot in running sneakers. My toes felt cramped and it didn't feel like the ball of my foot was on the pedal.
If I had a smaller foot these would be fine. I have used similar toe clips with straps in the past, but I liked this better because there was no strap to adjust.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Not quite what I expected, October 29, 2009
By Charles E. Turner
I received these clips from Amazon today. As noted in other reviews, there were no instructions with the clips. Because of the particular pedal that I have (Sunlite Bicycle Clipless I) I had some difficulity getting the retaining nut on. There was not enough room on the back side of the pedal to get any type of wrench on the nut and it was rather hard to hold the nut by hand while trying to tighten it. However, after getting the lock nut snugged fairly tight by hand, I was able to tighten the fastener enough that I felt it was secure. Again, this was on a particular type pedal. Maybe other pedals might not be so hard. I was not too impressed with the flexibility of the clip. This may not be a problem but my perception is that it would not take hard use. Having said that, I have not used the clips yet so I may change my mind after riding for a hundred miles or so.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  decent quality, inexpensive toe clips., January 27, 2009
By John (NC, USA)
i couldn't decide between 3 and 4 stars. First off. the screws provided were too small for my bike and i had to uses the screws off of my old pedal reflectors (glad i saved them). i don't know if they intended me to do that but what ever.
it is sometimes hard to get your foot in, but there is a bit of a learning curve. if you are riding in city traffic and have to make frequent starts and stops, you might miss the clip all together.
also, they dont balance well and you have to turn the pedal over to face them up.
They might be a bit small for riders with bigger shoes, and i wouldn't recommend using shoes that could scuff from the plastic.
the plastice itself seems pretty sturdy, but id guess after some repetition of cold nights and hot days in the sun, the material will wear down and break.
the bottom line, is they work well to allow me to use my ham stings to help pedal. i would recommend this to avid riders and commuters.
its inexpensive, so dont expect much in terms of functionality overall.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  fresh look: not so good, October 26, 2011
By Jason E. Morgan
after getting further into the installation and use, my review has been revised to "worthless item' category. when to a bike shop and got a realistic pair of traps and installed them in less than 30 minutes. save you money. but most importantly, save the aggravation.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Simple to use, October 2, 2011
By The Sifu (Lindenhurst, NY United States)
I am getting back into biking, and ordered these to use on my new Diamondback Insight 3 Performance Hybrid Bike, 700c Wheels. Although I used full clips with straps in the past, I wanted something a little easier to get out of in traffic. These clips fit the bill. Easy to install, easy to get in/out. There is flex if you pull too hard, but if you are pedaling that hard you need clips with straps anyway.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Not worth it!, September 26, 2011
By CubanoLibre (Savannah, GA)
I bought these thinking they would be simpler than standard 'clips.' If you are a serious biker and not only push on the pedals but also pull up... Don't bother with these. They are to flexible and you really can't exert pressure against them. Isn't that why you got clips for in the first place? My suggestion, save your money & get something more substantial. Yes, installation was easy, so? These are to flimsy!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Clipped!, April 23, 2012
By RalRone
Installation was easy although there were no instructions included. However, there were parts leftover that I left out because I couldn't figure them out. The clips seem to hold my foot in place especially since I wear a leg brace and the underside of my foot slides off the pedal without the toe clip.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  They Get The Job Done, April 23, 2012
By B. Ellis (Lexington, SC)
I usually ride with strapped toe clips, but I decided to give these a try on one of the bikes in my collection. I've had them on for a week, and as stated in the subject line of this review, they get the job done, with a few caveats:

1. Fit: Many reviews say these clips are made for people with small feet. I happen to disagree. I wear a Men's size 12W tennis shoe, and these work okay for me so far as keeping the front ball of my foot right over the pedals, just as they should be. If this position doesn't feel "right", then by all means don't use them, as I believe everyone should be, to a large extent, comfortable when they ride.

2. Durability: These clips will not last forever, but should be with you for a season or 2, perhaps more if you're lucky or are very picky about taking care of your equipment.

3. Purpose: I'd say these clips fulfill two very specific purposes...one is to be able to get in and out without much hassle, and two is to keep your feet positioned properly for a more efficient pedal stroke/cadence. These WILL NOT help you generate much, if any, upstroke "power". These are designed more with consideration to positioning over power.

Overall, I gave these four stars, as there are stronger/longer lasting options out there. These clips fulfill a niche of being able to get in and out quickly without having to buy cleated shoes/clipless pedals for your ride. I have enjoyed them and will leave them on the bike to which they're currently attached. If you're a commuter in a high-traffic area or someone who isn't *quite* as serious about getting more firmly attached to your pedals, these are the clips for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great for quick in and out, can take a beating., April 21, 2012
By Julian
I really loved these. I had just gotten into biking so i didn't think i was ready for clipless pedals yet. I wasn't sure about toe cages and straps either as i ride on a main road and would need to be able to stop or start on a dime. These did the trick. They force your feet into the proper position, balls of your feet and not mid foot like i was doing, they hold on so you get the pull up as well as the push down, and you can slip in and out like a dream. I had mine for about a year and they really took a beating. They finally gave out where they were mounted to the pedal, but i think that had more to do with my pedal getting dinged up and warped than anything. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking to get into biking for fitness or just plain commuting. Great product.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  I'm about to order my second pair of thse, March 18, 2012
By Amber (US)
I had these for years, and I finally broke one riding in my platform wedge shoes, ha! (I was pedaling on the flat side of the pedal fyi, but it got caught and broke off). Anyway, you need pedals that are compatible with clips to begin with, if you don't have those then forget it. My issue with these is I have normal size womans foot and these are a little too big to get a lot of pull power. Many here are complaining about size, and the fact that they aren't available in sizes is a huge drawback. However these are great for a city commuting bike because there are no straps. They are a little flexy, I would prefer them more rigid, and I would love to have them be smaller for my feet, however they really do work and it's better than riding on flat pedals.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Clips!, March 1, 2012
By Chef Rob (Sugar Land, Texas)
Okay...I'm new to the cycling scene and I'm finding stuff from all levels of experience. So,I found these clips and tried them so I don't face-plant on my mountain bike anymore. They seem tough and attached pretty easily to my new "grippy" pedals, without being stuck in them with straps. So far, so good. The only down side is they didn't have a diagram or instructions in the retail pack, but that's not Amazon's fault, it's a Delta thing. Hope this helps!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Delta Bicycle Clips, January 8, 2012
By Morgan
I like this item. It does want it is supposed to do in a recreational sense. Cannot speak on it from a professional standpoint. I would have given this item a higher rating but it does not work with all pedals. I had resin pedals but had to purchase a metal set of pedals to use this item. It attaches where the reflectors are on the pedals. I am pleased with it after the pedal purchase. I does just what I needed it to do for me which is stop my feet from slidding off the pedals.
