Still sweating my luv handles off!, November 4, 2008
By Maggie (Westchester County, New York)
|
|
Wear it 3-6 times week for the last 3 months while riding my elliptical. Boy is it ugly, but BOY does it work. Not rips, no tears. Other than my husband cracking jokes about me looking like an alien from War of the Worlds... I don't mind it at all.

Everlast Sauna Suit, May 2, 2008
By shop aloha (Honolulu. HI USA)
|
|
Great suit! I sweat like a pig and it's tougher that mentioned in previous reviews. I have to take the suit off in my bath tub because I'm drenched in sweat, which is why I purchased it. Then I just wash it in the tub and hang to dry. Does the job and great for the price! Just not the most flattering thing to wear in public so I only use it in the privacy of my own home. Also, I ordered a medium/large and I intially thought it was too big (I'm 5'2" female)but after a few work outs, I'm glad I purchased it bigger due to the fact that once you start sweating (which is almost immediately) the suit will stick to your skin and since I do a lot of movement and stretching, it gives me room to move without having to worry about it tearing or ripping.

This sauna suit is extremely durable. It has bands around the arms, waist and legs and is roomy. I run with mine on and I haven't had any suit tears at all.

Buy this bad boy!!, October 5, 2009
By no4sk1n (S0Cal-diego)

Ive been using this suit for about 2 months(at least 3-4 times a week)while hitting the heavy bag and I don't care what people been saying this thing is tough and it works...
Dont be confused of the purpose of a sauna suit(to make you sweat) and it does!!Buy this thing if you are working out at home or only if you dont mind looking like a tin man outside
dont fool yourself either this alone will not make you lose weight what it will do is help remove toxins from your body while burning more calories than exercise alone, You will lose alot of water so stay hydrated its the toxins you want remove you will gain the water weight back when you hydrate but think about it this way..when you boil meat or chicken the water thats leftover holds all that grease right?so the fat stays in the pot same as the toxins in your suit
The reason this gets 4 of 5 stars is for the color and the rubber smell even after washing is pretty strong

best sauna suit, February 17, 2009
By Fate~ (USA)

I have purchased a sauna suit from the sports authority in the past and it tears unfortunately and the material is way thinner than this product. The everlast is much better in the sense that it is a way better material and definitely makes anyone sweat faster leading to faster results.

So far, so good, May 11, 2009
By A Customer
|
|
I recently purchased this sauna suit. It is a bit thicker then other sauna suits I have had in the past which makes it feel quite durable.
There are two things I am not so happy about. I dont have a lot of excess weight on me, I have 20 lbs that I need to lose and the neck is pretty tight which causes some discomfort. I guess it works to help keep the heat inside the suit. Also, the smell is a bit strong. Im airing it out.
Overall, I am very pleased with this product as it is durable and really gets the job done, e.i. I was "sweating like a pig."

I have purchased several Sauna Suits in the past, only to find them ripping after wearing them once or twice. The Everlast Suit mateial is strong, last a lot longer, and washes well. I do suggest you drink plenty of water so you do not get dehydrated. You will lose a lot of water weight, and then Praise God there goes the fat.

The Pants rip after I used it 3 times and the sweat shirt already show sign of tear, August 5, 2009
By S.A. (USA)
|
|
It does make you sweat alot but the quality of this sauna suit is low. Since reading alot of the reviews I went with the recommendation to order a size extra and I used the sauna with care but it didn't work. After using the sweat pant 3 times it rip off and I already see sign of tear with the sweat shirt which I have used about 5 times & anyday soon I'm positive is going to rip as well.

Exactly what I ordered!, December 26, 2008
By Katie Belaskas

I was interested in an Everlast Sauna Suit. I found it from this supplier at a great price. I ordered it and splurged on 2nd day delivery. BOY was I thrilled when it was on my door step the next day!!! I am thrilled with the product. It is exactly what I ordered and has been invaluable to me with the frigid temps we have endured here in Upstate NY!

Not what they use to be a couple of years ago., January 12, 2012
By T. Kelly (USA)
|
|
I have been using these suits for a couple of years and up until just recently they have performed well beyond expectations. Most suits last me 5-6 weeks with daily use and some care. But my last 8 suits have all had the same problem. The seam in the crotch of the pants splits while you are putting the pants on. Upon closer inspection, it appears that the seam is not formed very well and can be pulled apart with the slightest effort.
I contacted Everlast and they were nice but said the issue should be taken up with the manufacturer, A company called EB Brands. So far I have not gotten responses from them and calling the 800 number Everlast gave me, will result in a 2 hour or more wait on the phone for a customer service rep. (Actually, I don't think they even have a customer service rep.)
Everlast did tell me this one interesting piece of info. The warranty on these suits is one time use. Once its worn, the warranty is void.
Luckily Amazon has been great. The suits tear, I contact Amazon, ship the suit back, get new suit. Hopefully Amazon will get all these defective suits sent back to the company (whoever that may be) and get the defect taken care of.

I bought this set, not to use as a sauna suit, but to keep dry. Living in Washington there is a lot of rain. Yes, I do sweat in it, but I keep warm when I have things to do & it's WET outside, which is most of the year. SO bonus I get work done and I get to add'l sweating. Get larger size to allow movement

OK, this will definitely get your temp up! I only gave it 4 stars though because the neckline choked me! I had to cut it slightly so my circulation wasn't getting cut off.....but other than that, you'll totally sweat your a** off! It is well made and has not ripped or torn and I've used several times now. Good sauna suit!

Works Wonders, Poorly Made, September 24, 2010
By Alex Giammarva
|
|
I purchased this as an aid during my boxing training, and was really pleased with the increased sweating during my workouts. HOWEVER, after only 3 uses the suit tore as I took it off. I read other reviews on the product and had layers underneath to prevent sticking and therefor tearing, but this still did not stop it from tearing. I will look for a similar suit, but hopefully will find one better constructed.

I got this suite to aid in my weight loss whenever I workout or run. It helps me sweat, keeps the water inside the suite, and it's easy to clean. My husband also uses it and he is twice my size and he likes it. This suite is great if you are really trying to lose a lot of weight in a very short period of time.

Very good suite, I have been using it for a while. I had pair that god damaged on my second jog , I got pissed off and bought professional one for forty something dollars, but I had to gave it away since I did not like it. I like and I need to sweat very strongly, there is one pair I use it while jogging on my treadmill and so far nothing happened to it yet and it has been 3 month now!!! Now I make sure to have one extra, in case something happens.

There isn't much to say except cheap and durable. The cheaper suits I looked at all had reviews complaining about durability and I didn't want to spend much if their was a chance it was going to rip. The Everlast suit was just a smidgen more money, so I went with it. So far, after a month of regular use, I have no complaints.

Buy a Valeo instead and save your money, August 20, 2006
By Frank

Material of good quality. No pockets. Good body fit except for the neck area because the elastic absolutely strangles you to a point you really can't wear the suit as long as you'd like. Really ugly logo on back. Can't compare to Valeo. You would think these folks would know better with all the years they've been around.

Hard To Rate..., December 10, 2011
By TDog14126 (Buffalo, NY USA)

This suit really works! The only reason I didn't rate it higher is because the neck is REALLY tight and the pants ripped on the 2nd use! So, I e-mailed amazon about the ripped pants and, LESS THAN AN HOUR after I contacted them, they replied to me. Apparently, they accidentally sent me a used suit. They are sending me a new one, should be here in 2 days. I highly recommend this suit, just hope you don't get a used one, lol.

SWEATING HELPS, September 12, 2011
By I. GLENN
|
|
I have purchased these suits in the past; & yes they last a long time. And they really do work. The key is being consistant. You will lose water weight, and fat cells do shrink.
Decided on this one, but I had gained a few more pounds since the last time. Got the wrong size!! It is way too large; now air gets trapped in the suit, which makes it kinda chilly when I begin to sweat. With the proper size suit, you can wear clothes under it, which absorbs the water perfectly. Or over it; like a hooded sweat shirt. With the extra clothing you can't feel the chill; and you are nice, and comfortable, while exercizing.

Ripped before the bill even came!, April 12, 2012
By ClickClack

|
This suit works really good. It makes you sweat a lot!! but it ripped after it's 3rd use. I guess I wasn't careful enough while taking it off I didn't notice it was ripped until I got into the shower to wipe it down. it was ripped so badly on the butt area I had to throw the pants away. I guess I have to invest in a more expensive suit. If you don't have the money to buy a expensive suit then just be REALLY careful taking these pants off they will probably rip if you throw a fart! 0_o

Was working good for first 2 uses, then the pant ripped apart, February 26, 2012
By Y. Xia (Rochester, NY)
|
|
Pros: looks quite sturdy, you sweat tons when wearing it keep you warm
cons: not as sturdy as i expected (ripped after 3rd uses, maybe from some stretching pose?) size is really big (i normally wear 6#, and the medium looks giant on me)
extras: yes, it smells...but not that strong after a while i wish it can be more a jacket style, the band around neck is way to tight

Not as durable as you might expect, June 16, 2011
By Chris Rubio
|
|
It was not a one piece upper body and lower body suit. It had seams which ripped on me after my first use. They replaced it with a new one. You need to be VERY careful putting on and off and I would recommend putting on a nylon shirt underneath it to aid in putting on and taking off. Of course, by doing such, you will sweat a whole lot more, but that is the purpose of the product. For a product named Everlast, it should be much more durable. I have been using it for my last two or three bike routines without issue. Be careful when using. It does its job.

If you wear it, you will sweat. My greatest concern in making the purchase was the durability. Now I'm sure to be careful around sharp objects and corners, but after several uses the suit is holding up great and I don't have to be overly conscious for fear of tears or splits.

Buyer Beware, April 3, 2010
By Frizzell (Baltimore, MD)

|
I am hear to warn you that you should not purchase this product. I saw some negative entries but decided to buy the sauna suit anyway. I ordered a 2XL and when I received the product is was labeled M/L for medium/large...clearly was not going to fit me. Besides the size issue...this product is not something I would have wanted anyway. The material was very thick and not made of the type of material that I was used to with similar products over the years. Don't buy this!!

Well worth it and quick delivery! I Love THIS Suit!, August 26, 2011
By Careful shopper (Somewhere, HI)
|
|
This is the one to buy, on my third purchase as gifts. Very durable. U will sweat!! I use this indoors with leslie sansone walking series. I soak and hang to dry. I have read here where some say this product ripped, u have to order up, I am a size 16, I sent this as gifts to friend one is a 22 and 20, I ordered all in the largest size possible and its roomy for all three sizes. It was comfortable and roomy, except for the neck we all had to remove the elastic it was unusually tight, but we were fine in doing that as this suit in durability and function and price is well worth it. I ordered with this with Leslie Sansone dvds and other things to qualify at super saver shipping. I have had my suit for a year now and NO issues. I have seen this suit at Sports Authority and TJ Maxx but not in the xxx size and the cost is comparable, but not as heavy as this one. The delivery was quick and we all comment as to how it really makes you sweat, I even wear it to do housework and gardening, remember to drink plenty of water and don't over due it as you could get dehydrated. Use common sense and order up in size and I think you will be pleased. I can even wear work out close in this xxx size and still have room. BTW, I went thru two terrible sauna suits at Walmart, those ripped the first leg raise, it cannot compare this one. This one is very different in PVC fabric and sizing and durability and only a dollar more or same price. Also I am 5'10 and the pant legs and sleeves are very long.

Awesome product. I've tried other brands and they have ripped quick with little strain. This suit i put it on, hit the heavy bag, and even did some high kicks with no tear in the suit. When i first put it on it felt a little elastic so i though it would rip quick but held up good in my heavy bag workout. And the person who wrote the review about taken it off in the shower was smart because i took mine off in the living room and literally had a puddle of sweat all over the floor. Must say Very Satisfied with this product. By the way i am 5,7 and 220 pounds and the lg fit me just right with room to throw punches. Was worried about size at first too.

Didn't really care for this item. It seemed to work ok but the neckline on the shirt is way to tight. Felt like I was choking all the time. The rest of it was fine

Quality sauna suit. I know becuase I've used three and this one is the most durable among them. I am 5 and 3, and ordered Medium. It's still a little larger but it's ok.

I wear a women's 10/12 and got the lg/xl thinking it would be roomy... it isnt... any smaller would have been way too small. basically, it fits, and i wear a small/med usually. this is certainly not a mens lg/xl which would normally be HUGE On me. hope this helps

Working for me!, April 1, 2012
By Kathy F

I had an old pair of vinyl sauna pants that finally gave out. I read all the other reviews for the different brands of sauna suits available on Amazon.com, and decided to go with the Everlast sauna suit. I definitely don't wear this out in public (it's ugly), and I do all my pre and post workout without the suit on, as I do not want to take the chance of ripping a seam, which seemed to be an issue in some of the other reviews. However, for the full 50-60 minutes I'm on the treadmill, I'm in the suit. I wear yoga pants and some type of shirt under the suit, as I don't want the PVC directly on my skin because my skin is very sensitive. Let me just say that when I'm done with my treadmill workout, I'm drenched! I started a nutrition/fitness program the first of the year and after losing an initial 20 pounds am kind of on a weight loss plateau, however, even though I'm not losing pounds at the moment, people keep commenting on how much smaller I look. So, while I realize a lot of this is just water weight loss and temporary, I believe some of it is also fat melting off and permanent. When this sauna suit wears out, I will definitely be purchasing another one. One last thing, be sure to keep hydrating while you are working out in this because you don't want to dehydrate.

Pants are Thin Material, March 29, 2012
By Customer Review
|
|
This is a great suit to sweat, but the material is very thin. The pants ripped after using them two times. When I work out now, I can only use the upper part; I will need to purchase another set from somewhere else. If you are running or working out with these pants, be aware that the material is very thin!

This suit has plenty of room and has elastic on the arms, waist, neck, and ankles to keep in the heat. I think this was a good deal.

Fits Good/Good Quality, March 8, 2012

I recently bought the Everlast Sauna suit. I was worried whether the sauna suit would fit (I'm a size 2X usually or sz 18) but the large/extra large fits just fine with room. It also hasn't ripped yet, but I only use it on my treadmill and for lifting some free weights. Oh and make sure you take the suit off in the shower... lots of sweat!

Horrible..., February 17, 2012

Okay, so my husband is losing weight for the Air Force, so i decided to help and i bought him this. It took a week to get here, and no longer than he put it on, it ripped from his crotch to his ankles. It did nothing whatsoever for his weight. Amazon did offer a full refund though, and i was very pleased with that. But, for this product, just save your money, and if you don't then just don't do any stretching.

I was shocked when i got this today. I read the reviews about how it tears and i am not saying this rudely but i don't know how it can tear unless it is too small for the person. This suit is very thick material and so far so good!! I was surprisly shocked how thick the suit was after reading some negative reviews :)

The quality of the sauna suit is a lot better than the ones you see at sporting good stores. However, the pants ripped 2 weeks after getting it. So far no issues with the top
