4.0 out of 5 stars.  Solid for basic use, January 4, 2011
By Andrew Heitman (ROCKVILLE, MD, US)
I think the comment about the lack of resistance modification means someone didnt read the manual well enough. If your tire isnt flush against the drum the resistance knob doesnt do anything.
This is a solid trainer for those who arent looking for any bells or whistles or dont want to commit hundreds of dollars to a trainer.
Im using it for Triathlon training, it fits well in our tiny 1 bedroom.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  I like it, December 18, 2011
By R. Rickert
Setup was a snap and this works very well. Turned my outside bike into an inside exercise bike, which was exactly what I was looking for. It didn't come with a front wheel stabilizer, but I can't give it less stars for that because I knew that when I bought it.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  mag trainer trial, February 8, 2011
By bob
i recieved the mag trainer about a month ago, the set up took 5 minutes , and i have a specialized road bike that i use on it. so far so good the adjustments
for tension are good , but i happened to strip a bolt on the tensioner, called the vendor to get replacement j-bolt. while they were tough to work with i got amazon to pay for the bad bolt all should go well now . all in all great value for price.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  going nowhere, January 11, 2011
By Bill (Pa.)
Since I don't bike in the cold, I find this to be the way to go. I have never used any other types so I can't compare. They should recommend a TV to go with it because you need something to occupy the mind. I'm not sorry I bought this one, it does the job for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  First time trainer, February 4, 2012
By lemon-x
First time using a trainer -- read some reviews and then had some recommended. I used the trainer this morning and I enjoyed it. It does have some noise, but I would call it a constant hum. I could hear the music on my speakers just fine and I didn't even have it turned up that loud. Also, my trainer is sitting on a carpeted area -- that may have muffled the noise. It was really easy to set-up; maybe 5 minutes. I did purchase a climbing block to hold the bike steady, although I have been told one can make one out of old 2x4 for much cheaper -- I just wanted to play safe.
Can't wait to get back on the bike and use the trainer. I gave the review a 4 only because this is my first trainer and have not used a trainer before.
