4.0 out of 5 stars.  Stay Classy, September 2, 2010
By sixspeedsteve (San Diego, CA USA)
pros:
1) This is a fancy little brass bell and is definitely loud enough for casual riding. 2) The sound is pleasant and traditional. 3) Overall build quality seems top notch; the trigger is firm when pulled and bounces right back into resting position with ease.

cons:
1) My only problem with it is that the handlebar mount is on the small side for standard handlebars. It fits, but it's a stretch.

A little tip, you can go to the Mirrycle website and listen to the sound of their bells though an audio file on each individual product page. Rest assured that the bell in person resonates much cleaner and louder than the wimpy audio file through computer speakers.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice Tone & Small Enough for a Kid's Bike Too!, December 17, 2009
By goonius (a room in a house on a street in a city just like any other.)
We bought this bell in the black with chrome plate to put on my daughter's 16" Diamondback Mini Della Cruz that she will be receiving for her birthday in January. We bought this bell after a bit of research, and after reading so many positive reviews here on Amazon.

We weren't disappointed. It's the perfect size - maybe a couple inches diameter - and the sound is pretty and fairly loud (not ear-splitting mind you). It's a simple little two-ding mechanism (hence the term 'duet', I assume) - one ding on the forward stroke, one as the lever goes back into place, unlike the bell we have on her trike which makes a series of dings as you flick it and as it goes back into place. I would have thought that two dings could not have sounded as good, but it does; in fact it probably sounds better than bell on her trike which cost more than twice as much as the Incredibell. There must be something to that whole brass bell sound.

This bell doesn't feel cheap. It seems to be well-constructed, and I feel confident that it will last a long time.

It installs right alongside the grips on the handlebar, and so it's easy to access while riding, without taking attention away from steering - a perfect 'first bike' accessory in this sense.

I think it's worth noting that this bell is not made in China. It is made in Japan.

I'm very pleased with this bell, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a compact bell with a nice tone.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Bike Bell, August 13, 2009
By j (New Bern NC USA)
Mirycle Incredibell - They don't know how to spell but the bell is everything they say it is. I ride a recumbent bike 10 miles a day and I might add 76 years old. The walkers and runners I sneak up on appreciate my ringing of this pleasant brass bell sound. I like it very much.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice bell, lovely sound, April 13, 2009
By Richard Gordon (Novato, CA USA)
This bell has a lovely sound, either in brass or chrome plated (I have both on different bikes). It can be easily heard at a distance but doesn't startle anyone. When mounted near the grips it is easy to activate while riding. If your handlebars have a section with large diameter and a section with small diameter, it will only fit on the small end, but that is usually near the grip anyway.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great sound, but didn't fit, August 27, 2010
By Leigh A. Peterson (Maryland)
I have a Trek 7.3 FX. The handle bars are tapered, but even the thinnest point would not allow this great little bell to fit. I am really very sad about this because it sounds so beautiful.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Ding-Ding, NOT Ding-Dong, July 21, 2010
By Eric Johnson (Bakersfield, CA USA)
This is a nice looking bell, with a pleasant, lingering ring. It is also very compact and will fit in tight places, which might be a problem if you have a lot of accessories on your handlebars. One item of note, though: the product description calls this "a traditional ding-dong bell...". It is NOT a ding-dong bell. There are some fine bells out there which ARE of the ding-dong variety (Electra sells some). With a ding-dong bell, the "ding" is not the same note as the "dong." Sort of like a door bell.

This bell's "duet" is simply two strikes on the same ringer, so the sound is "ding-ding" not "ding-dong." If you are happy with a ding-ding bell, this should suit you fine. If you're really looking for a ding-dong bell, your search should not stop here.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Awesome Little Bell!, June 22, 2009
By gadget lover
I got this for my 4-year-old daughter's Micro kick scooter. I had to mount it to the vertical post, so it's in a little bit of a weird position, but she loves it because it's pink to match her scooter, loud and really small and unobtrusive. It also installed easily with one screw and holds tightly to very smooth aluminum tube.

Great product!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Loud & easy to attach, September 27, 2010
By Bable
A bit smaller than I expected. The green base and part that attaches to the handlebars are all made of plastic....a bit translucent. The bell is loud, lever works easily. Design and materials look as if it will last a while. To push with your thumb this needs to be mounted for the left hand.

Very clean sounding bell. It's loud, but not obnoxiously loud. It has a pleasant 2 "ding" tone. I bought one for my girlfriend's bike and one for my commuter. Simple to install and it seems to be durable. If I need a bell again, I would buy another.

Excellent product. Easy installation. Just make sure that your handlebar diameter is small enough to accept this bell. Some bars are too big to use this bell. Sufficiently loud and will get the attention of walkers in front of you. Buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  More than just one ping, October 14, 2010
By HDTVBG
I love the line from The Hunt for Red October, when Sean Connery orders "Just One Ping", and yet, I decided that a proper bike warning to path hogging pedestrians ought to consist of two pings. The Incredibell Duet has a distinctive and clear brass voice which you can modulate with an insistent rhythm to precisely communicate your intentions.

It's a cute bell with very pretty sound and color matches my bike. Not sure if bike bells come in different sizes or not, but it's rather small (like a toy)...probably would look better on a kid's bike.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Beautiful, Melodious Little Bicycle Bell, February 22, 2010
By Tom Tracy (Northern GA, United States)
This is a great little bicycle bell. It is very attractive on the handle bars of my Trek hybrid bike (I got the brass model), and it rings loud & clear when the trigger is activated. The trigger feels substantial enough so that I don't feel like I might break it off, yet is easy enough to use. Mounting was a snap - one screw. All in all, a purchase I am quite happy with - highly recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Swell Bell, January 29, 2010
By Jonathan Doyle (Portland, Maine)
The Incredibell Brass Duet is everything a cycling bell needs to be: loud (but still pleasant), easy to install, easy to use, and durable. I love the bell's hammer trigger because it rings loud every time and allows me to easily sound the bell when wearing thick winter gloves/mitts.

The only aspect in which this bell is lacking is mounting versatility. Installing the bell on one of my handlebars required fishing through my hardware collection for a replacement clamp more suited to my bar's diameter and my preferred placement. There is a model with adjustable strap, which is some consolation.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  For Tiny Handlebars ONLY!!!, December 30, 2011
By Frasier Nutzov
This bell sounds and looks great. Unfortunately, the manufacturer made the attachment too small to fit any but the smallest diameter handlebars. Would be a great product if they spent a couple more cents on the design and made the part that goes around the handlebar a bit more adjustable, so it would fit around the larger diameter handlebars on most adult bicycles. I will try to see if I can make some sort of extension in my shop to make it work, rather than returning it. But if you don't want the hassle, DO NOT BUY THIS BELL!!!

April 2012 update: After a couple of months on my bicycle, this bell gradually changed from making a "ding-ding" sound to a "bing-bing" sound. The brass did not turn green at first, but I sanded off the varnish and soaked it in swine urine, and now it's starting to turn. Please be aware that this bell is not guaranteed to turn green on its own!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Broke After 2 months, November 8, 2011
By whipperin1 (Nomadic, From Sea to Shining Sea)
Only expect it to last for two months. I used this poorly made product very lightly for about 2 months and then the spring loosened, the bell would only ring when the lever was push in one direction. A few days later the spring fell out completely while riding and the bell is silent. Buying this product was a waste of money.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  This would have easily been 5 stars if not for it being too small., November 1, 2011
By Mr. Bigshot (Washington, D.C.)
First off, this bell in reality is a perfect five stars, and should probably be given a sixth. However, I am taking away one because I did not realize that it would not fit anywhere on my drop bars. Shame that the company could not have made it more adjustable for large drop/flat bars, especially for those who use more modern road bikes as urban commuters.

The biggest asset of this bell is that it is LOUD. Very loud. It is so loud that when testing it in my apartment, I could hear my neighbors dog barking through the wall as I was giving it a few quick dings.

It's function is really two fold. With your thumb, you pull the tab back to initiate a quick and loud ring. You then release to initiate a second quick and loud ring. The farther back you pull the trigger, the louder the ring.

I doubt that such a bell would be loud enough to alert nearby drivers, given the number of elements that sit in between you and them, especially in busy urban traffic. However, this bell should more than suffice when alerting any pedestrians on the street. I commute by bike all across downtown Washington, DC on a very frequent basis. I often find that pedestrians crossing the street are less aware of cyclist than the drivers themselves. This is especially the case in parts of town with lots of tourists (as if they've never seen a bike lane before).

I would recommend this bell entirely, BUT MAKE SURE that you measure the diamater of your bar so that you know it fits.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  You can ring my bell...Twice!, October 4, 2011

I like this bell as it has a very melodic "ding ding" to it, it is easy to install, and it looks very cute on my commuter bicycle. People actually hear it,too, which is a big plus, and the lever seems very solid and has worked flawlessly, even in the rain and sometimes freezing weather. I love to ring my bell!

It is so small, not large, not medium.... small. But the ring it makes is lovely. You can hear all Mirrycle's bells over at their site before you buy one. That's what I did. If they had a larger bell, that sounded sorta like this one, that would be my favorite bicycle bell ever.

I have two of these.
It is a premium bell.
It is optimized for mounting to ~25.4mm and ~26mm, and will most readily mount to a "flat bar" or the quill-style stem of a road bike. Installation is simple.
Design and construction are excellent, and bell itself is small.
It hasn't rusted or degraded and I have used it very hard.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  OK Bell, July 21, 2011
By Dave (So Cal)
I need some kind of noise maker on my bike. I live in the suburbs where drivers are kind of lazy and I also sometimes ride my bike to work in the San Fernando Valley where city drivers are downright hostile.

This bell isn't loud enough to catch a city driver's attention, but it's OK for alerting pedestrians or cars pulling out of driveways (if their windows are rolled down).

I hesitated to buy this bell because so many other reviewers complained that it wouldn't fit on their handlebars. I didn't have any trouble at all mounting it on my mountain bike's bars. I tried it in a couple different spots and it fit everywhere--no matter how tapered the bars were.

This bell has a spring trigger to ring once when you press it and again when you release it. There really isn't any way to control or modulate the pressure. So you'll get a "bing-bing" every time, even when you really want a "RING-RING". It's a cheap bell though; I really didn't expect much more.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Loud, small, excellent quality, easy installation, but lacks in mounting options., June 21, 2011
By Vasiliy
What I like about it: small size, fairly loud sound (two dings), materials seem durable and of good quality.

I wish it had more mounting options. The plastic frame of the bell, which includes the handlebar mounting bracket, is one solid piece of plastic -- you cannot turn this bell or install it on the right handlebar. If your bicycle has something preventing you from installing it on the left side, you cannot use this bell unless you lift your hand to use it. The lever cannot be rotated to any other position to make it easier to reach.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  love it!, December 28, 2010
By Carol
I bought a cruiser bike that and wanted a bell that would go with it - it matched the baby blue/light turquoise color accents of my bike perfectly (bought the light blue bell) and I love it. the bell is nice and small but very effective - it makes a great sound and what's amusing to me is that I have baskets and everything on that bike but I have had several comments about my bike bell and how cool it is - even from a couple of manly type guys who ride bikes. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. This is a great gift for anyone who has a bike - it will certainly alert folks that might be walking in front of you wherever you may be riding and I think it would be great for kids bikes too and the sound is not obnoxious at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice Addition, August 29, 2011
By TrikeTrek
This is a nice-sounding bell that lets people know you're coming without making them angry in the process. I like its clear tone much more than most "ping" bells, which this one is not. Instead, you push the lever one direction against the resistance of a spring, and then it releases to return to its original position, ringing once at both ends of that motion (for two total rings per complete lever stroke).

I brought this bell for my husband's walker after his hip surgery as a "cute" way to jazz up his walker. The bell did more than make the walker fun, my husband used it when he couldn't yell loud enough for me to hear him. I could hear the bell wherever I was in the house and could come to his rescue.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great bicycle bell, April 16, 2012
By Lars Nelson
I've used this on my mountain bike for over 1 year in Utah. I ride multiple times per week in every season, so I've taken this through rain and snow. It works very well. It does sound like a "service desk" bell as one discouraged reviewer wrote, but there's nothing wrong with that. I often ride on paved paths or roads where I need to alert people ahead of me. It isn't very loud, but does the job. After reading one reviewer's trouble with it collecting rain water, I mounted it horizontally (i.e. top of bell points forward), so I've never had any trouble with it. I have a full size adult mountain bike and it barely does fit the handle bars. It is not very big in size, and I like it that way. It has been very durable, which surprises me because it does not cost very much. What a great value.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Just Right for Daughter's Bike, March 14, 2012
By S. D. Hale (Western KY)
Bought this bell to put on a Diamondback Miz Della Cruz bike I purchased for my 7-yr-old daughter. Color is kind of a translucent peach-orange and went great with the orange flowers and rims on the bike. Daughter loves the dual rings as the button is pressed then released. The bell resonates loudly, so is easily heard by anyone nearby as she rides. Easy to mount on the handlebars (my daughter did it herself with one of my phillips head screwdrivers and just one tip from Dad--she likes being a big girl and doing things herself). It also appears to be very well made and built to last. Would recommend to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great bell!, February 12, 2012

Bell works great. And the color matches my bike. The bell makes a clear, loud sound so that others know I'm coming on the trail.

It's loud enough to be heard by most of the joggers and cyclists I pass, and it's sturdy. Worth the money. What else is there to say?

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice dual-tone ring bicycle bell, January 4, 2012

Mirrycle Incredibell Brass Duet Bicycle Bell (Chrome Plated)
This little bicycle bell is awesome! While riding my bicycle on busy pathways I needed a pedestrian alert system. Checked this out on Mirrcle's website where they have audio samles of all of their bells. Sounded loud enough and was small enough (some of their bells are quite large). The price on Amazon was a better deal, so ordered the chrome plated bell from them - Prime got the bell to me almost immediately! When I took it out of the packaging and tried it out, I was really happy with the volume/sound of the dual "ring" - it will definitely alert people/pets to my approach, and with a pleasant sound. BTW, used he bell on New Year's Eve to "ring" in the New Year -loud and clear. I highly recommend the Mirrycle Incredibell Duet Bicycle Bell - check out their other awesome bells too.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very good bell, worth the price., December 18, 2011

Very good bell, it works very well and seems well constructed, it will ring twice when you push the lever. Made in Japan, not China, which I find it to be a plus.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  love it!, December 28, 2010
