Avenir Roll Up... Great idea., July 14, 2010

I got this after a buddy showed me his. Having all of your tools in one bundle is super convinent. Just grab the bag and you know you will have everything you might need in your hand to fix your bike. I replaced some of the tools with my own which were a better quality. But if you don't have any tools, this is a great start. I added extra stuff to my bag, and now have all the pockets stuffed. Even with all this extra stuff added, I can fold the top flap down over the tools to keep them from falling out, then just roll it up, and secure with the velcro strap. When you use it, it makes keeping track of your tools very easy (tools seem to wander away in the woods when your working on your bike). Just unwrap the bag and lay it next to your bike, all your tools are there easy to reach. Good spot to lay tools if I'm using multiple tools. I really like this little set up. I glad I got one.

great tool kit., September 20, 2009

this has nearly everything you could possibly need for repairing your tire. all the tools seems like they're good quality and the pouch they come in feels like it will last a while...not thin or cheap. it's small and rolls up so it will fit in a small bike bag too! just what I was looking for.

Looks like this tool kit it has more in it than I will ever use to make any tire or bike repairs on the road, tool quality is very good and the packet/material that all the tools came in is very good quality also.

Yep - All 5 Stars, November 19, 2010

For about the same price or less than a Bell Ultra-Tool Multi-Function Bike Tool you can buy this Avenir Roll-Up Tool Kit. And it comes with so much more. Not just more - but better. Example: It has a REAL spoke wrench vs. the cheaper ones on the Bell model. And this one also has a chain rivet extractor.
Everything rolls up nicely in a pouch secured with a Velcro strap. Naturally it weighs a bit more than the Bell model because you get more. Wish I would've bought this a long time ago.

So-So, September 9, 2011

Having ridden with this for a while now, I'm not that thrilled with the quality of the multi-tool. The roll up pack seems convenient, but it's actually pretty bulky. Personally, I'd say you're better off buying a better quality multi-tool (alien is good) and a more compact patch kit. It will fit in your saddlebag better and you won't sacrifice any quality.
In summary, this kit looks pretty good... until you try to use it.

Nice tools, April 15, 2011

I bought this toolkit "just in case" but I'm very pleased to have acquired it. The tools work well. The only caveat I can find is that the thin wrenches included are thin enough that if a bolt is cheap and overly tight, it will tend to cut the bolt head instead of loosening it.
This isn't a problem if you put the bolts on using the same wrench, or if your bolts are of good quality.

Sturdy but big tool kit, November 1, 2011

The avenir line of accessories is a pretty good buy for anyone getting into cycling. The kit and bag are sturdy but kind of bulky when stowed in your bag (I have the medium avenir seat bag). You may or may not need the spanner wrench, if you dont then you'll save yourself some space. Has all the tools you need for most any road repair!

This tool kit has exactly what you need while you're on the road. all tools are high quality and for the price, you really have no excuse why you shouldn't buy these. My only complaint is that the included tire patches don't work very good.
